First I came here a few times and liked everything I ate. I loved their pierogi's very good but never thought about asking if they are cooked with seafood. I am allergic to seafood and had a reaction. Why are we all worried about peanut allergies but not seafood. Who wants food to taste like fish. I asked about other foods and it's the same answer. I had to stick with soup because I'm tired of salad but seriously can't believe how you mix foods together. Why can't they fry it for me, why can't you have separate oil for fish or seafood. Pete's seems to be the popular spot for the after work crowd, as well as weekend diners. Took a couple of my adult kids there for breakfast one day before hopping on a flight, and they had scrambles in small cast iron pans. They were absolutely fantastic. We used to really love this place, but it seems different lately. It's sad because me and my family have been going here sense we were teens. It takes a very long time to eat here. From waiting to be served to waiting for food, even on a Sunday night when there was hardly anyone else eating in there with us. Also, be careful in the bathrooms. My sister used the restroom and while bending over the counter to wash her hands, the bathroom counter stained her shirt. We are assuming a bleach cleaner was used- which is fine but why leave it wet on the counter to get on customers clothes and stain them? Worst part is the shirt was from a trip to Tennessee so no chance in replacing that anytime soon. read more

I'm in town to get away for a while and visit my good friends. They mentioned Pete's for dinner, and I've been there before and enjoyed each time. Today was different though. I ordered the chicken and waffles with sriracha/maple syrup. The waffle was good, the syrup wasn't bad, but if you're going to serve chicken and waffles, please serve it with a fried piece of thigh, leg, breast. A good piece of chicken and not tenders! Pretty good place. I went here last night with my boyfriend for a late dinner - they're open till midnight. I got the mushroom and Swiss burger, and he got the Mediterranean burger, which came with feta, red pepper, and lettuce, and he ordered a side of curly fries. We also split the $3 (!!!) beer sampler, which came with 4 small sampler glasses of beer. The $3 is an especially good deal because they have craft beer on tap. Since Quarantine 2020, we've chosen to grab Pete's carry-out every six weeks or so. The food is the only thing that has kept us returning because service here is absolutely abysmal. I understand that the job market has been flipped upside-down, especially with lack of talent for the food industry, but even the basic aspects of guest service is completely lost on this crew. Hold times over the phone of 20+ minutes. Even hanging up and calling back, it's as if every phone order just doesn't matter to this business and you've been forgotten. Hostesses fail to greet anyone and everyone I've observed walking through the door. And the pick-up counter is a lonely island with on-the-fly servers stumbling over each other, not a one knowing what is what or who is who. Before 2020, we'd dine in every other weekend for family breakfast or a brunch with friends. Never had an issue. To-go, however, is avoid at all costs. read more

Not sure what the extra spices are aside from Buffalo sauce, but well done. Ordering online is convenient and so far has always been ready on time and very good looking takeout orders. I've been critical of Pete's Place in the past and swore off revisiting. That changed when they expanded their restaurant to include a bar area with 40 taps. I've visited several times and always sit at the bar. There are a few TVs and music playing as well. The beer prices are reasonable, ranging between $4.50 to $7 depending on ABV. They'll also fill growlers if you want some beer to go. For those who like saving cash, Pete's Place has a pretty good Happy Hour: Monday through Friday from 4-6pm and 9 - close every day. You'll score $1 off craft pints, $1 off large domestics, $3 house wines, $3 wells, $5 signature martinis and half off appetizers. We've ordered food a few times with delicious results. When we go to dinner with family it's a challenge to find a place with food everyone will eat and moreover, WANT to eat. Some of us are content with, and in fact insist upon, chicken tenders and potato skins. Other of us (including yours truly) are fine with that, but really love a chance to try something new. People in our group raved about everything from the bean soup to the blackened salmon to, yes, indeed, the chicken fingers. -Everything I tried was tasty if not always the best I've ever had. I saw Pete's while driving by and thought it looked good. The front clerk at my hotel advised it was good. The Yelp reviews were mixed. I went here for supper (6pmish) on a Saturday to eat and watch the NFL playoffs. When I entered the restaurant I noticed it was loud. Then the front person didn't want to sit me near the TVs unless I wanted to sit at the bar. Ugh. I made it clear I wanted a table and to watch some football while I ate. She seemed a little unhappy but after discussing it with another waitress they agreed to let me sit where I wanted. I'm glad they let me decided because I would have left. I'm a strong believer in that the Customer should be accommodated if at all possible. They place was clean with a couple TVs at the bar (which was nearly full) and three TVs in the seating area. There was also a seating area with no TVs (where they wanted to sit me originally). Not sure why. There were several seats available in both area. It was probably 6-7 minutes before my waitress came to take my order. I ordered a coke, cheeseburger, salad with ranch, and fries. She came back quickly with my Coke. It took approximately 10 minutes before my salad came out. My salad was fresh, full, and tasty. Yummy My main meal (cheeseburger and fries) came out about 12 minutes after my salad. Not bad timing. The cheeseburger was very good and the fries were ok. I asked for extra mayo on the side and it came out with the meal. Excellent! My food was warm and very good. The burger was delicious. I like that they put the onion, lettuce, pickles, and tomato on the side. That way you can add as much or as little as you want. I added ketchup and mayo also. Overall: my experience started out weak, the young lady that seats customers needs to work on her delivery, but my experience quickly got better. The waitress that waited on me was friendly, quick, and checked on me a couple times. She also refilled my drink with me having to ask. Sweet! The price for my meal with tip was $18.30. My wife and I visited for lunch on a Friday around 130pm. For being off the lunch hour, it was still pretty busy in there with a diverse crowd sporting everything from coveralls to shorts (me) to business suits. We were seated very quickly in the diner looking side. They also have a bar side. The prices were higher than average for the food and beer (about $1 higher than I would have liked), but the food was very good. The craft beer selection was awesome and our server had some knowledge about most of them which is a definite plus. She was able to give us an idea on the taste of a few and help steer us to some selections we were very happy with. They have a beer list online and I suggest you take a look at that prior to going so you have an idea what to order. Pete's is one of those places that doesn't look all that special on the outside but makes up for that with good service and a quality food. Their menu is huge and should satisfy pretty much everyone. What I appreciate about this place are all the little ways they try to go above and beyond your neighborhood bar or diner. First off, they make a lot of items in house that they wouldn't have to - for example, the chips that come with the sandwiches (which are very good btw) and the homemade soups (also excellent). They also offer some twists on traditional foods. For example. This morning for breakfast I ordered the chicken and waffles and it came with sriracha maple syrup. And my parents ordered the eggs Benedict (only offered on the weekend), which comes in a soup bowl with lots of hollandaise. They are totally addicted to the eggs benedict and have to have it at least on a monthly basis. Portion sizes are huge so be prepared to share or take half your meal home. If you're a beer lover, you'll be in heaven here with 40 local brews on tap and a flight of 4 for only $3! read more

We brought a group there on Sunday after a memorial. it was absolutely terrible!! we waited over 3 hours for our food! The server lied to us and said the kitchen was backed up. The manager showed us, after complaining, she told us the server entered 9 minutes prior. When we confronted the server about what the manager said, she lied again! It took a half hour to get drinks, waited for almost an hour for appetizers, forgot to enter one of our dinners. We saw other patrons at tables come in, eat, and leave before we even got our appetizers. Never will be back! read more

This is the 2nd bad experience I've had after previously really enjoying this place .. last time I went alone and service was so bad another waitress ended up helping me out so I wouldn't walk out .. this trip back with my family for lunch .. we walk in and the floor was so nasty and greasy everyone was sliding around.. we get to our booth and again it's filthy and the floor has crumbs all over it .. after order soup and drinks to start we notice the silverware is dirty too.. Halfway through my water I noticed that was debris all over the bottom of my cup.. that was it, this place was too gross to even want the food we ordered.. we asked for the bill for what we had, which they ended up being too embarrassed to charge us , so I left the waitress a tip and we went down the street to eat instead .. Whoever is managing this place needs to close down for a few days and do a deep cleaning and retraining of the waitstaff .. we won't be returning for a long time if ever read more
