Now that our kids are teens, we've added a couple older vehicles to the family fleet and what I can't do myself gets done there. The prices are fair and they always seem knowledgeable. They could stand to be a bit less proactive though. I've seen them recommend brakes be done that lasted another 18 months and they seem to recommend expensive shocks/struts on anything over 100k miles when most will go well past 150k. Taking that into consideration, if you know you need something done like scheduled maintenance, they'll do it right and at a competitive price. They've even done a couple minor things for us and waived the charges completely.

Zoleman's simply looked at the tread on the tires, and replaced the one that was the lowest tread. While this tire was worn, certainly not to a point that I would have worried about replacing it. I know for a fact it was not the worst tire on the car because another tire had sidewall damage from the previous owner. Now I'm stuck needing to buy more new tires in the near future because they didn't take the time to PROPERLY inspect the tires. Or simply because they chose to take advantage of someone that didn't know better. Either way Derek and his techs have ensured that I never return to their store! They get 1 star because I can't give them zero.

My serpentine belt was cracked 19,000 miles after they had replaced it. (normal life 100,000 miles). They said that was because they had not replaced the tensioner when they replaced the belt. Replacing the tensioner is normally routine. They left a time bomb in their incomplete work the first time. I let the replace the belt and tensioner for $600. I took the car to the dealer the next day who said the breaks were fine.

When the battery failed after only three months, it should have been replaced for free under warranty. However, because Scotty purchased it under his account, Advance Auto wouldn't replace it for me. Even though I had already removed the bad battery myself, he still tried to charge me $122 just to install the replacement. We got it from one of those huge sales they have at Walmart. The process was super easy and I left with it the same day. They are so nice there from the salesmen to the service center! Plus they always have coffee while you wait for the oil change. & popcorn too! The only issue I've ever had was when I called to find out how much it would cost to get brake pads and rotors done & the guy couldn't tell me. I asked him how much calipers were, to which he didn't know that either. So, I ended up taking it somewhere else to someone who did know what they were doing. The $50 fee just to look at it is kind of bogus though(Gates). The place I went to was free of charge. They always update my car fax which I've noticed Ireland road service never does! Even though it's slightly out of my way, I love coming here for service & it's worth the extra 15 minutes of driving!

After hearing from my insurance company, he called me personally and asked about my safety, and arrived to help me as quickly as he could. It was freezing out, so he asked me if I would like to wait in his truck. After getting my car all hooked up, he took me to a repair shop. In the meantime, there was a change of where I was supposed to get towed to, and Tim had called my insurance company in an attempt to resolve it for me, so that I would not have to deal with them. He was so friendly, so kind to be worried about me being worried, and he really did everything in his power to help me.
