    We are in town to attend Daughter's graduation services at a nearby University. Daughters car has…read moremultiple needs, so after the services, Discount Tire recommends Valvoline on East Ireland. In a word -- Aaaaaaaamazing! Thankfully, there is no line and we were able to drive up into the empty bay. After a friendly and courteous greeting and inquiry re: needs, Matt and his crack team get us in and out in less than 30 minutes -- more like 20, to be exact. From centering to exiting, Matt explains each step of the process; the computer monitor clearly lists the services you are charged for; it also swings around, allowing you to view in real time, who is under your vehicle and what is being done; they are in constant communication with each other, via verbal calls and echo verification. I appreciate how the 3 man team works quickly, efficiently and most importantly safely. I am at ease, knowing that they are paying attention to the tasks in progress, are NOT on their phones, you see/hear them at all times. EVERYONE is safe. Can you tell how important "safety" is?! Especially for these gainfully employed young men who (most definitely are not 'ne'er do wells') showed up for work and have their whole lives ahead of them! If you are asked to turn the vehicle and it's wipers on/off, they provide a reasonable rationale behind it. Matt kindly reset the vehicle's service reminder for us, and gave us the window sticker reminder (listing recommended mileage & oil type replacement) -- Excellent! Some people want conversation, that's not why we're there. I appreciate how they respect our time -- No inane conversation/questions about the weather or invasive questions re: where are you from, what you're up to/plans are. Professional courtesy up front, state your business, then Matt and his team go all in like BOSSES. After the oil is changed, you are shown the new oil level, so you have eyes on it and have confidence in their work. After applying the online coupon, it was $133.73 for Daughter's Sport edition SUV: fluids topped off, filthy air filter changed out, 4qts full synthetic oil, multiple point safety check/verification in under 30 minutes. Pricey? Perhaps, but a more than fair price for SAFE, efficient, no-frills/no-pressure sales pitches. The time saved is WORTH IT! From a cynical health care professional in a very time driven, every detail is crucial role -- stellar, impressive work ethic/flow! This generation still has people who work hard to earn a fair day's wages. Thank you, Matt and team -- You all were great!

    Do NOT take your vehicle to Valvoline on Grape Rd. I went in for routine service and was upsold on…read morea transmission flush. They assured me that not having the proper transmission pump equipment wouldn't be an issue and they would "just hand pump it." My mistake for trusting them; I should've known not to take a specialized transmission to a drive through oil change. Although they insisted they could "hand pump it" They screwed up the flush, and the transmission was spinning, gears not shifting properly after pickup. Then... the skid plate fell off the vehicle and my partner almost crashed the car. I filed a claim and allowed them an opportunity to inspect the car for a claim, then went against their word and fiddled with the transmission again, deciding against towing it to the dealer as they had committed. Pick up the vehicle, round two, car reeks of transmission fluid. Drive straight to the dealer and upon inspection they confirmed not only was it done improperly the first time, the car was still two quarts low on fluid. I submitted all my paperwork for a refund, hoping for a satisfactory resolution after days of phone calls and tow trucks, rental cars, back and forth with customer service reps and their goofball manager. Guess I'm not surprised the "manager" Brayden called back with a smug tone that "Toyota lies" and I was SOL if I were expecting any reconciliation with Valvoline. I asked him to just admit they didn't know what they were doing and were at fault... I just wanted someone to hold themselves accountable. He told me tough and hung up on me. I would've settled for him to just own up and acknowledge they made a mistake, but since he was incapable I'm pursuing legal action now. Throw away your coupons! Go somewhere where they have the proper experience and equipment. And somebody sign Brayden up for some proper customer service training.
