    Tofu with hot peppers

There are a variety of Peter Chang locations, which are fundamentally similar but do have notable menu variations. The chain trends more towards Virginia than Maryland, so I was mildly surprised to drive pass this one in the Annapolis suburbs. But I was glad I stopped in for takeout, because what i got was excellent. A fried tofu and pepper dish rendered with what tasted like cooking wine and some savory sauce was mouthwatering. Where applicable, their menu had options to check a box for vegan preparation to eliminate any doubt. I note that one thing common to Peter Chang locations is that rice is not included, so you do have to order it for a small charge if you want it. Adding some green-filled dumplings was a good choice as well. The location was small, but buzzing, and I could see why.

We had a very enjoyable evening for Peter Chang's soft opening in Annapolis, MD. First night serving food. They did not disappoint. The menu was extensive with many choices from tapas, Dim Sum, and main dishes. A huge plus, they have Soup Dumplings! The seafood crispy noodles were a favorite. I loved the shredded cabbage, so flavorful. The scallion "blow up balloon" pancake was really fun to share and dip into a savory sauce. Finally! A real Chinese restaurant in Annapolis. We will be returning often. Go check them out asap!

Peter Chang absolutely exceeded my expectations. Every dish we ordered was packed with bold, authentic flavors and beautifully presented. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The dim sum and shareable plates were perfect for trying a variety of dishes, and each one somehow managed to be better than the last. The atmosphere is modern, welcoming, and great for everything from date nights to dinners with friends or family. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations that we probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. Annapolis has needed a restaurant like this for a long time. If you're looking for Chinese cuisine that's far beyond the standard takeout experience, Peter Chang is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!

Wow did this knock our socks off for dim sum! We went on Sat afternoon around 2:30...and it was still lively ambiance. The restaurant was brand new and still had some things wrapped in styrofoam. Our waiter was super attentive and courteous. He made sure to check in on us and was patient with us while we made our selections. We got so many small plates, but what stood was the bubble pancake (especially the turmeric dipping sauce), pork shu mai, dry fried eggplant, honey pork ribs, and crystal shrimp dumplings. Everything came out quickly and hot and fresh! They don't yet have the AYCE dim sum yet, but maybe next month after they get the kitchen staff to keep up with the demand. Definitely recommend! And next time we will get the roast duck!

Eggplant fries are a delight but interesting spice.

You need to have the duck. Peter Chang knows how to cook a mallard. Wow. The king pao chicken and shrimp are awesome too. All of the dishes are unique and delicious. This location is pretty new so they only had tea and soda cans for beverages. I love the lazy Susan on the table for eating family style. Try clean and attentive staff.

    Very reasonable for lunch

We visited this new location of Peter Chang's today for lunch, and we will be back for more. My friend and I decided to share some dim sum/tapas type items. She had a cup of hot and sour soup. We shared the spicy dry fried eggplant, which was cut into sticks. We saw orders of the puffy golden scallion bubble pancake going by, so we had to try that. It came with a little pot of a nice curry sauce, which the server said they make in house daily. The vegan Dan Dan noodles were very tasty, with little crispy cubes of tofu. We also tried the pork and shrimp shumai, which were yummy too. The lunch prices were extremely reasonable. We waited a while before our server found us to begin with, but then he took good care of us. I will definitely go back to try more items.

My granddaughters and I have been there several times, and we love it! They especially love the bubble pancake, the fried rice, although my granddaughter doesn't like the vegetables in it so sometimes we get it without the veggies. But it is delicious and not greasy like some places and I love the vegan tofu Dan Dan noodles. Highly recommend!

The service is always welcoming and the restaurant has always been decorated beautifully. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. They have all of your favorite Chinese classics, but my absolute must-orders are the Peking Duck, Crispy Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken. My newest addition to the must-order list? Their Chicken Wings appetizer! I honestly didn't expect wings to become a favorite here, but they are SO good! If you're looking for authentic, flavorful, delicious Chinese food, this restaurant is an absolute must-try. Four years later, and I'm still coming back and still finding new favorites!

Most recently, we had decided to order Carry out. On our way to pick up our food we noticed that traffic was very heavy. We contacted the restaurant and told them that it would probably take us an hour to get there even though we were already in Annapolis.. When we noticed that the traffic wasn't moving and we looked up on the news we found out that there have been an overturned truck near the bridge in route 50 that had spilled propane oil all over.. we contacted the restaurant again and the young woman who answered the phone told us not to worry. She was going to cancel the order and that if things changed to call again. The following day as we were coming back from a long, tiring day at Washington Hospital Center we decided to try again. My wife called and was put on hold while a woman who identified herself as the wife of the owner told her she did not want her to ever come back and did not want to service her. My wife was shocked as was I since we were only three or four minutes away we drove there. My wife went in and the wife wife of the owner as she stated, began yelling at her in front of other customers and saying she is no longer welcome. She cannot have Service there. She cannot order anything.. I was shocked. The wife brought the owner her husband out from the kitchen and my wife tried to explain what happened with the truck and inability to get there and offered to pay for the dinner for the previous night unfortunately she was treated with hostility, anger, and a reluctance to listen. The owner complained how he went out of his way and now he was out money and told her to leave.. It was an incredibly upsetting experience, management was extremely unprofessional, berating my wife and I in front of other customers and for no reason at all, denied a service, knowing that my wife is handicapped and has food allergies.

With the added spices I took it up to a 6. Overall it's a very fresh dish that feels very authentic. If you're looking for spice hit up the Thai place on the same block.

We went on a Sunday for lunch and was expected to be greeted with chaos (at least that was our experience at other dim sum places). They did have a lot of customers, but the "chaos" seemed to be a lot more organized. The dim sum carts seemed to be making more frequent rounds than what we were used to and the servers were locked in. We had a pretty large party and it felt like there was a never ending flow of food (and variety) the entire time. You do get the "typical" dim sum experience/ambiance of carts rolling around everywhere and servers asking you if you'd like to get anything, so it's a great experience to bring someone who hasn't had dim sum yet. Would totally recommend for parties of all sizes and we'll be back. They do advertise sushi, but can't speak too much on that because we stuck solely with dim sum that day.

Went at opening on a Sunday and it was easy to get a table. Dimsum carts came around right away. The food came out fast and continuously. Everything we ate was delicious. Some of my highlights were the calamari, beef chow fun, Chinese broccoli, stuffed eggplant, egg tarts, all the pork buns, and the shrimp in rice paper. We had ages 1-70 and everyone left full and happy. We loved the lazy Susan on the table and the kids loved the bubble fish decoration at the entrance. The bathrooms, fish tank, and outside awning could definitely use some love. They were pretty dirty. If those are fish we are eating, i definitely don't want to see them in a tank that crowded and dirty.
