We have to visit this Petco quite often because they are the only shop that carries our cats' food (Science Diet) and is the closer location to our house. Aside from pet food, they also have a lot of other cat and dog goods - like treats, harnesses, carriers, scratchers, and little outfits (if your pet is one who will wear little clothes). Now can you get many of these things for WAY cheaper online via Chewy or Amazon? Yes, but you would have to wait for it to ship, and put things together yourself for items like cat trees. They also have actual animals for adoption in the shop, like fish and birds. My husband doesn't like to see that when they are in a small cage/tank (he doesn't like zoos either, to be honest). We signed up for the Petco Pals Rewards when we first started shopping there, and we have never been able to use the perks ONCE. Whoever signed us up must have entered my husband's email wrong so he cannot get into the app or account even to cancel it. So we are paying a monthly fee for nothing at this point... The staff is great here, though, and has tried to help us get this sorted out many times (to no avail though). But they do try to give us whatever perks they can when we shop there that we should be getting in the app. But we are supposed to be getting a free bag of cat food after a certain amount purchased that we are not. Bummer. Aside from the Pals Rewards that we are paying for and not able to use, and including the fact that it's the only spot we can get our specific cat food - I will keep shopping at Petco for the foreseeable future to please my kitties! read more

This location is a sht hole. Bought some fish a few days ago and noticed that they had 5 tanks closed down due to ich outbreak. Ask the kid if all the tanks share the same filtration, he said no. I now know they do because my peacock cichlid now has it. The African cichlid tanks looked healthy, ich free. I should have said no to that entire section due to all the quarantine tanks and dead fish in the tropical sections. My fault I know, but that section should be shut down and cleaned out. read more

Terrible! So done w/them! Showed up for dog grooming appointment to find lights out w/nobody there. Then when they showed up I guess the groomer called in sick but no one told me. Waste of time & my dog still needs grooming. I have to wait to get in somewhere else. read more

Petco refused to replace my 15yr old autistic sons bearded dragon claiming they didn't have to due to a fuck up by there cashier even tho we have vital record receipt from purchase & it's within the 30days. They don't care about there customers or the pets! Absolutely horrible business! read more

the 132 and maple store is awesome I really like the fish area it is well stocked and cared for the prople are friendly and helpful I think it's the best place to shop for fish and supplies we have lot of places in Omaha to shop but this is my go to store! read more

Horrible. Made an appointment for both dogs. Received two confirmations one via phone and one email. Neither one indicated I needed to call as well but clearly said I was confirmed. When I got there they told e they cancelled it. The girl there could not have cared less that this happened. Horrible customer service. One star. Terrible Customer service by the manager. Had set up monthly dog food to be sent. No dog any more so needed to return. Manager said I have to get in store credit only since I used paypal. Disputed this since pay pal is good as cash and accepted at the company. Argument ensured and I got kicked out for disagreeing with in store credit as being only option. Went to take our dog in for a grooming apt and was told when we got there that they wouldn't be able to groom him due to his size and the groomers weight restriction. He has his size in his petco chart being 45-60lbs so we were upset we drove there just to be told no when they should already know his size. The groomer then went on to ask us if our 10 month old puppy had any training because he was excited. A very rude comment to make while also telling us she wouldn't do the grooming today. I visited this store for the first time this week for some aquarium accessories I found on the Petco website. The staff not only helped me find the products but directed me to the cashier, Raghad who processed my price-match from the Petco website. This was a first visit to this Petco off of Maple. I usually prefer PetSmart since the type of items, including grooming is better than Petco in my opinion. The location was convenient for those who live off of Maple Avenue but the downside is the courteous factor from staff at this Petco. No one greeted me when I walked in, no one asked if I needed help finding anything, and when I did find the brand Rex prefers, the prices were a little higher than PetSmart. The staffer behind the counter didn't say anything except for the total price. Once I received the receipt, no words came out to say thanks for visiting Petco. Thank goodness a young white Shepard behind me gave my hand a lick on the way out. I hope not to make it a habit to patronize this Petco. The one off of 72nd tends to be more hospitable. read more

Dog Grooming Nightmare. I booked an appointment two weeks in advance only to discover a locked door and lights out when I arrived with my dog at the appointed time. I received absolutely NO phone call, VM, email or text message at all. I didn't even receive an apology from the salon or a chance to reschedule. Purchased a bag of dog food here a few weeks ago. Came home and after a week realized it was expired, not just a little expired tho. It had been bad for 15 months. Obviously this location does not rot rate their stock correctly. Be careful when purchasing dog food here please! read more

Avoid grooming here at all costs. I've been a 20 year customer of PetCo store and decided to try their grooming. First of all, they had my dog listed as a chihuahua and not the shiba inu she really is, so you know the staff is not the brightest. Second, they won't take a dog on anti-anxiety medicine, even though they don't say that anywhere on their website, don't tell you when you book the appointment, and even though the dog was not "sedated." Third, the manager, Jennifer, refused my appointment without even coming to meet me in person or looking at my dog. So I schlepped my dog all the way there, got denied service for some loophole they don't let you know about, and didn't even get the courtesy of speaking to the jerk in person. I've been to plenty of pet stores in my lifetime. Years ago, I stopped going to Petco and started going to another pet store chain. After visiting this location, I remember why. This store is so unorganized! Dog toys and collars up front and a couple aisles of dog bowls and grooming supplies then there's cat supplies right in the middle of it all. The dog food is all the way in the back and kind of wraps around to one side with dog kennels. My husband and I found it to be a bit confusing when we were shopping. There are random bins of disheveled clearance items shoved into corners and in the middle of aisles. I was also disappointed with the selection, a lot of items seemed to be out of stock or misplaced. It was also unbelievably warm in the store, I wouldn't be surprised if the thermostat was over 75 degrees. My husband and I found ourselves breaking a sweat. The employees were also a disappointment. They did not make any sort of attempt at conversation at the register and seemed to hate their job. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I just went into this store for a pickup order, love the convenience but I am blown away by the rudeness and lack of customer service I was greeted with. I was running in a couple min before close, as someone who works retail I get the frustration..in fact if I hadn't been picking up my order I would not have gone in to shop around that late..but anyways..blonde lady was locking the doors as I ran up and once I was on the sidewalk she opened the door and started yelling at me, saying if I know what I want I better get in there and figure it out, super nasty and mean about it all, I quietly and politely kept trying to assure her I was just picking up but she got louder and kept talking over me. Finally she listens, rolls her eyes and yells for someone in the back pointing me towards the lockers with the orders. I was shaken up by her hostility and had assumed she had to slide the inside door for me too since she was locking up early and she rolled her eyes and sassily told me she couldn't open the exit door for me. I was apologizing over and over, no response from her, no niceness whatsoever. My face was red and hot with embarrassment, if I hadn't already paid for the order online I would have walked right back to me car and not bought a thing...no excuse for that kind of blatant rudeness read more
