The next time they shaved him down completely without asking and this time he had long pieces of hair randomly all over, they did not trim his nails and the they cut his tail for no reason! Went for the Yappy Hour pictures with Santa this weekend. Both my friend and I had RSVPd for an appointment to have each of our dogs photos taken with Santa. When we got there, they didn't have either of us check in or anything, but told us they would take pictures of the dogs together and separately and that they would send all the photos to one email. They only saved the last photo, which was of my friend and her dog. When I went in to ask about getting the rest of the photos, I was informed that they had all been deleted. This completely ruined what would have been a great Christmas memory for me with my dog. Would have been nice if they communicated with us that we needed to separately enter our information for the pictures. Though this was a free service and it is not the end of the world, this poor level of customer care is unacceptable. Combined with the severely inconsistent quality of their grooming salon, I can say I will never give my business to Petsmart again. read more

Jacob in grooming, took our 2 dogs for their nails and both were a little overgrown We had them cut and ground. Their nails have never looked so good! He was absolutely calm with them andbtalked to them the whole time. There was a springer spaniel in there that was barking constantly and the staff was absolutely calm, cool & collected. I have really enjoyed Petco the last 2 years. From trying to find puppy food our normal store was out of. The have never had problems stocking quality food. We also got a Betta fish a few years ago. The staff has been great and very knowledgeable and helpful educating us on proper tanks care food etc. Very clean and a well maintained store. read more

What can I say - for a "big box" store, I love PetSmart! I am so glad they don't sell dogs and cats but rather work with local rescue groups and shelters to adopt them out. They also have their own pet charities. When we got our dog almost 3 years ago, I took her to the groomer at this location and they did a fine job but these days I prefer to bathe her myself at Green Spot or Pets Earth. It's cheaper to do it yourself and I don't have to leave her there for a few hours. We also brought her to Introductory and Advanced Training classes with Jessie and she was great! The classes were small so we got lots of one-on-one attention and she really knew her stuff about dog training and nutrition. We buy treats and Blue brand wet food here but I usually buy Fromm dry (which they don't carry) over at the Green Spot. PetSmart is an ideal place to take our dog in lieu of a walk on days when it's cold, snowing or raining so we're there quite frequently. She loves the outing and the staff know her by name! read more

I love how close this location is for me, I've got a 2mo old and 1.5 year old cat and trust that they're spoiled. I usually go to this store every couple of weeks for all my feline needs and am pretty often satisfied. Thursday afternoon I had purchased some iams wet food and when I got home 10 minutes later to put their food away I found maggots. Staff would not look in the bag or my pictures- did not feel like they cared at all. I know better than to get upset with the teen girl running the register but the older man who I first addressed about the situation just kept saying "I haven't had a chance to look" to which I offered pictures and he declined. I am a very irritated since they were first in front on the shelf- it would maybe be understandable if they were from the back of the shelf. If I had not taken 2 more seconds to look at the tray who knows how many of the 24, two pack containers had maggots. I got a refund but I am just very disappointed with the quality control. I think of my boys as my babies and I would feel just as strongly upset if it was a jar of Gerbers. I'll probably just drive out to Pet Supplies Plus from now on. read more

We just got a rescue pup a week ago and have been to PetSmart quite a bit! Each trip was good. Lots of food choices. Best price on Blue Freedom. Great variety of treats and toys. My daughter is banned from accessory aisle (2 collars, matching bow ties and raincoat and sweater later ) we did all his shots, heart worm tests, meds, check up and will do follow up boosters. Dr Jensen was very thorough and great communicator. Under $200 Today we got grooming. Bath, blow dry, ears, teeth, nails trimmed and buffed and, yes, a facial. $56 total so felt like that was reasonable. He loved the grooming team. All of them. Obviously very well treated. I like the little report card. Good advice on picky eater chews for teeth. Not too much up selling. Cute bowls. Lots of bed options. Extensive selection in every category. The only negative is the car gates were overpriced. Found it for half on Amazon, but everything else beat their prices. He peed when he came out. New owner mortified. They were so nice. No problem. It happens. I'll get a mop. And gave me a coupon 20% off next time. Will definitely go back. Fantastic experience for this new dog mom. read more

There was no pleasantries from the staff but no need was rude or unhelpful, just St not welcoming. The cashier was more concerned about her phone than my transaction but she was quick and efficient. I've been to this Petsmart location several times to make purchases and to get my dog groomed. GROOMING: The employees in the grooming department are always so friendly, and I think that their packages are a great deal for a great price (I just wish that teeth brushing was included in their basic package). I love the grooming report card I get when I pick my dog up; I always love hearing about how he behaved during the appointment, and if he has any problem areas (ears seem to be a bit dirty every time). They are all always so patient when I'm scheduling an appointment, and whenever I have questions about the grooming packages. The only complaint I have is that I have asked repeatedly for them to pay more attention to my dog when they are doing their anal expression checks, and he still seems to do the butt scoot at home. OTHER: The employees on the floor are always so friendly, asking questions about my dog and smiling. It's nice when pet store employees actually love pets. This review is for the pet grooming services only. I made numerous attempts to call this location, but they never answer their phone. The website said stop in for basic services. So I went in and they asked for paperwork showing rabies vaccination date. Which makes sense, but I didn't have it with me. This was after they made me wait 15 minutes for a walk in appointment. If they answer their phone and had a little better communication they could avoid annoying their customers and not get as many one star reviews like this. read more

I had such a fantastic experience with Meriyam in the dog grooming salon today. We have an older dog who was in desperate need of a groom. She handled our baby with care and did such a nice job on her. We've never had trouble with our pup having excessive anxiety at the groomers, but she did today and Meriyam handled it so well-- and even made a recommendation of a smaller, quieter grooming salon if we want a calmer environment for her in the future. Stopped in a few weeks ago as it was close to other shopping I needed to do. I also had seen a Tweet from Martha Stewart and had printed a 15% discount coupon off my entire purchase. Quite enticing! We needed pet food and also decided to purchase a fun new pet bed and not knowing which size purchased two and would make a final choice once home and could determine which was the perfect size. We paid cash. Not only on our first visit did the cashier bash PetCo, but when we returned the too large pet bed we were informed that the $60 return could only be issued in a gift card. ??? We questioned it and was told it was "the only option." I just was on their web site reading their "No Hassle Return Policy" and it says if you pay cash (which we did!) and you have the original receipt (which we do!!!) you are returned cash. The staff is friendly always have people double checking to make sure I'm getting what I need they always help me keep my fish tanks up to date and I always get told what deals they have going on with dog food cause as for me and my dog we tend to do a lot of running together and I sometimes I like to get him the highest protein in dog food I'm not saying that I switch up his doggie food all the time but let's be real would you like to eat the same thing for the rest of your life? I have been using this location for many years now. Its always a fantasic shopping experience. My most recent interactions however left much to be desired. Location 0247 as shown on ny receipt, has an employee by the name of tiffany. I went over to the fish and was waiting for help. A young woman was busy with three other people at the time and i asked tiffany for help. She brushed me off and stacked a couple papers on a stand with crickets. She then proceeded to rudely tell the other worker a list of things that needed done by the end of the day and walked off leaving me and other customers waiting. The young lady asked tiffany if she could help real quick and tiffanys response was she was busy with other things. Later upon check out i noticed her just standing playing with a bunny as one cashier had a line of people four deep. As i said before i have always had a great experience with this location and always had friendly help. I wasnt going to post this review but upon further visits with this employee i have had a bad taste left in my mouth. She is rude Demeaning and unhelpful. Recently i was informed she is a manager and i have witnessed her behavior on multiple occations since my original visit. If this is how management acts and a this is a person petsmart is willing to employ petsmart may want to reconsider their polices . A store runs as well as its management. Its obvious she only cares for her paycheck and not customer service or employee moral. I have always used petsmart but i will be going elsewhere and also recomending friends and family to do the same. read more

Went in to buy 5 cichlids was refused services BC my tank was 39 gallons and not big enough. The week befor went in got a tank, stand canster filter, plants rocks heater and chemicals to set it up and was told 4 to 5 fish would be fine I waited a week for the cycle to go threw with setting up my tank. Go to buy fish say I have a 39 gallon and was told that I could only buy 2 when asked to see a rule saying that said didn't have it. I brought my two dogs here on Friday 10/21. I had made an appointment online for 5:00 PM two weeks prior and received a confirmation e-mail. I took my two dogs in and we got to the back around 4:55 and the lights were shut off and the door to the grooming place was closed. I was told all the groomers went home for the day as they had finished their appts. I received a voicemail the following morning stating they forgot to call me to reschedule & they offered me 20% off. I will be searching for a new groomer. read more

The last few times I have been here, its been sort of a "morgue" atmosphere with not a single person asking if I need assistance or even saying hello. Oh well, the pleasantries on my scale of shopping at a big box store are sort of a mid level priority, so I don't really expect it like I do at a restaurant. They all kind of had personalities of a constant dial tone, drab and boring, and always have. My situation this past Sunday, however, was a final decision not to ever shop at this PetSmart again, because they were STILL out of the Dentleys rawhide that I buy for my dogs, in fact, the shelves were practically bare, as they have been on the last 4 visits to this store. I was told by the clerk "If they aren't there, then they are on order, or we've sold out". I replied with "there are never more than one or two bags on the shelf". He then told me that would mean it wasn't a big seller, which I know is false. I do most of my shopping around this area off 72nd street, but I guess I will take this PetSmart off my list of places to buy my pet products. The next day I went to the other PetSmart near Sorenson Parkway and was about taken aback with a cheery greeting from the cashier when I walked in. That was refreshing!! I then headed to the area where they keep the Dentleys rawhide and lo and behold; bags and bags of the exact product I was so unfortunate to have NOT found at the other location. I told her about my experience when checking out, and although I won't post her response here, she said, what I was told about the product line was incorrect and it should have been on the shelves. My new go-to store will be Sorenson Plaza, even though its out of my way, but as long as they keep what I'm needing on their shelves, it will be worth the drive. read more

I will never bring my dog back for grooming here again. We only tried them because we had a half off coupon. He is a black golden retriever and we love his long hair, we asked that he be minimally trimmed mostly only his ears due to the fact that he gets mats there and no where else. When my husband picked him up all his hair had been cut off. The only place they left his hair long was his ears. He looks absolutely ridiculous and I'll never return there again if they can't follow simple grooming instructions. read more
