Came in to buy dog food, as it's my only reason to come here, they were out of the food I get, so I walked out while googling where the nearest PETCO was. Rather than employees asking if there was something they could help me find, one followed me to the parking lot taking a picture of me and my license and told me they called the police. Because I DONT STEAL I jumped out and followed him into the store telling him to check the cameras at which point the girl that he was too busy playing grab ass with to originally give any sort of customer service, decide to charge out and continually tell me they called the police. I will never come to any PETCO again. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! read more

Correction: This review is for the clinic located at 1350 S. Ironton Street, Aurora. I had scheduled a 15 minute wellness check up but when the receptionist asked if I had any concerns, I said yes. Luckily the customer before me never showed up so the vet was able to accommodate me with a longer visit. Before checking my cat, Petco/Vetco stated my cat had to get the rabies vaccine required by law. My cat also was given the bloodwork to test for feline leukemia (negative). Overall I had a pleasant experience with Jazmin Nunez-Mikulin, DVM and her friendly staff. The clinic was clean and organized with the store attached to the clinic. Setting up the appointment online was very easy. The prices are reasonable. There's plenty of parking outside. read more

We were talked into signing up for a rewards program that charges 19.99 per month. This a total scam! There is no way that we could even recoup half of what they would charge us in a month. Not good at all. I ordered a small bag of dog food and a dog toy. I received an email that the order was canceled. I thought no biggie. Then, the dog toy shows up. Seriously. I just paid an extra $5 tip to deliver a silly dog toy. I called the store, and the guy said, "Yeah, I guess we were out of the food, but you can call Door Dash and get your tip back." He seriously said that. I responded that I would not take away money from the driver; it was not his fault when the delivery should never have happened. I then said that they should bring the food. There is an employee there by the name of Elliott and he is AMAZING! I came into the store a few months ago wanting to get my furbaby feline "Moose" on a healthier diet so that he can live forever! :) Elliott spent quality time with me asking all the right questions about "Moose" and narrowing down which food might be the best for him! Even taking the time to read ingredients from two different bags and never leaving my side! SUCH a great help, super knowledgeable and friendly!! "Moose" LOVES his food and because of Elliott, I am an official repeat customer! I love him SO much, that even if "Moose" didn't like the original food we chose for him, I would have still gone back to work with Elliott again to find something else! So the reason I'm a happy customer is more about Elliott rather than the food for my furbaby! LOVE him! And I will continue to shop there solely because of him and will also be referring people to your store because of him! About the store itself, it's ALWAYS spotless and fully stocked!! Really unimpressed with the dog wash and the staff. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog and it's quite a project to wash him because of his size and long, floofy fur. The staff began cleaning the tub for the next client while I was still drying my dog (the tub is about 12 inches from the drying station) and they only gave me two tiny towels to dry him with. The chemical smell was awful and freaked out my dog friend even more than he already was freaked out by the whole experience and then they let someone else bring their dog over to begin washing when I wasn't even done yet. There was definitely not enough room for that in the tiny corner. Plus all my stuff was still sitting there (purse, coat, leash, etc). It was really rude. They could have waited 10 minutes to give me a chance to get him dried and get organized. read more

I use to struggle with the difference between petsmart and petco. But I know the difference now, one I shop at and the other I now avoid. Stopped in to purchase a medium size of the blue buffalo basics. And they only had puppy varieties (4 different kinds) and larger bags. I requested the manager (SAMANTHA) honor the price of the medium sized bags since they were out of all medium sized and smaller sized bags. Her response is she couldn't. I called customer service. They said she could honor the price with a override, since she was the manager. Her response "I don't want to". Went to petsmart and purchased the same medium sized bag, which also happened to be on sale for $10 less. read more

In a new development by Chic fil-a and sprouts on west Colfax this is a great place for cat and dog food, toys, training, do it yourself baths & other pet store items in a smaller more urban setting. Friendly staff answered my questions regarding training and doggie wash ($10 includes supplies except nail clippers- let a pro do that- and they clean up for you) I'll be going back to see what food options they have for my pup and Kitty. read more

This Petco is a tiny little thing and it can be hard to find what you're looking for. However, the staff is so friendly and helpful. They always greet my dog and ask if she can have a treat as soon as we walk in the door. Their self-wash grooming facilities are not as "modern" as other Petcos I've been to, but they work SO much better! I've also come here for the Vetco clinic, which is so convenient and much more affordable than a vet visit for certain vaccinations. read more

I'm giving this 5 stars as I've always had a good experience here with the cleaning baths for your dog and also for the food/treats/toy selection. I buy food here for my dog and it always has decent prices and obviously my dog can't resist the treat section. Another plus is the facilities to wash your dog which has been great! It's $10 to wash and dry your faithful companion of which they give you some shampoo/conditioner, various brushes and towels to get your dog nice and clean. They have big steel wash bays with warm water hoses and little steps if your pooch has trouble stepping into the bay. Great location as well as there are plenty of shops around to run your errands after getting your dog clean and refreshed. read more

Samantha is the manger here and her customer service is very poor. This store is poorly stocked and the availability of products are often inconsistent. The worse part is the service of the manger impacts everybody else, so it's essentially a trickle down of poor customer service. They didn't have any of the products I was looking for. Watched the manger argue with a woman who was trying to purchase dog food that they didn't have available in the size she wanted. Instead of addressing the inconvenience, Samantha responded with sass and an unprofessional attitude. read more

So baffled about the negative reviews on here. Every time I've been shopped everyone has been incredibly helpful. This last time I was there for at least 45 minutes. I worked with3+ staff members. Elliott was especially helpful, giving me his personal experience with products, helping me justify costs of pricier items. I took my Golden Doodle here to be groomed and they did a terrible job! The hair cut wasn't even even at all and some spots looked like they had just been buzzed away. When I spoke to the employee grooming department they were dismissive and more or less said "too bad". I requested to speak to a manager and, while she did provide a refund, she seemed as if she had better things to do and would have rather not had to deal with me. I feel like Petco in general gets 3 stars... for being convenient, mostly. In my experience, Petco does NOT have the cheapest prices for food, even though they are big box stores. I give Unleashed an extra star for having healthier foods than the typical Petco AND still having the refillable litter. They also were really nice about refunding/exchanging food when my snobby kitties wouldn't eat the food I bought them (same brand, but differently shaped morsels. This is pretty cool for Petco. I'm a fan of Petco. It's about price and location. Petco is naturally expensive so the prices are pretty much the same to me. I had a promotional coupon that came in the mail so I utilized that and made a couple small purchase. The one thing I definitely loved and will come back is the ability to purchase single rawhide. It's hard to purchase cow ears, rawhide and similar products anywhere because its all prepackaged and expensive. Here they do it and I so go back for it because I can spend $5.00 and get what I need from here. They have a dog wash that they provide everything except the dog for $10.00 per dog unless you go on their promo days then its $5.00 per dog. It's not bad if you need to wash your dog and you're not at home otherwise I'll save the cash and do it myself. I believe there's a local store next door that I've never been to but only because I don't know if they will be higher or lower just yet. I went here because of a promotional coupon. I'm use to Petco and I know their products and prices. Any way, the staff is friendly. I think they're over staffed as many were simply just standing around waiting. One team member gave me a tour, suggested some products after I told her I was curious about the store. I did feel a bit pressure there with people watching me. I just like browsing, looking and reading and don't want to feel rushed but hey I still took my time and enjoy my visit. I enjoy picking up my dog's food here, as it is within walking distances to my place and it allows me to a 'dog errand' while also walking my dog. He loves coming in and sniffing around to pick out toys and treats. My only negative is that I think it is a little bit more pricey for the same items compared to other stores that I have to drive to. read more

This store has everything! Wonderful staff-even though it was busy, they were very attentive and helpful. I came in to get a collar and engraved tags for my new puppy and they helped me do it all right there. I went into Green Buddies looking for my pup's food - I usually went there because it was a small business (you have to support them!) Unfortunately they didn't have the size bag I needed...but the woman advised me that Petco had just opened across the way, and I could probably find it there. I looked at her - could see the hurt in her eyes - and left. Did not know that later that week, Green Buddies closed. Now was Petco the reason that Green Buddies closed? I have no clue. But with a big business as Petco - it probably did hurt that business. I was able to find my pup's food there, and it was for a much lower price than offered at Green Buddies. I know myself, if Green Buddies would have stayed - I would have continued to shop there. I don't care that the price is a little more expensive, I love to support small businesses. Petco itself is very clean, bright, and has anything you need for your pet. I haven't tried the dog wash yet - only because my pup loves ALL people and is such a handful in crowded places. They even offered to put the dog food I purchased in my car - which I really appreciated. It loses two stars because I'm sure they pushed out Green Buddies - there was no competition. read more

We've had a fantastic experience training our puppy here. The training classes are affordable, and the trainers are helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Our pup has learned a lot and received personal treatment and one-on-one support for a fraction of the cost of other puppy training schools. I give 5 stars to the staff at this store. I haven't really compared prices for the food and toys (but I have compared prices on dog wash, and the $10 dog wash is pretty decent compared to other services offered nearby), but the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The selection is also pretty good. (Btw, I don't think its accurate to say they put Green Buddies out of business. Green Buddies had already announced they were going out of business at the time Unleashed opened. The announcement said they'd decided to move out of state. Maybe they saw the writing on the wall, but its not entirely clear.) read more

I knew the store was slightly overpriced based on the toy section but I had no idea they were gauging us on everything.
