I walked by this place and heard the employees getting frustrated and yelling at the dogs. Definitely wouldn't take my dog here

Scott is amazing, and we can't recommend Chill Out Dog Training enough!…read more We adopted a 9 month old, 80 lb (now 110 lb) golden retriever from a local rescue in mid-2023. A complete contrast to our older collie/aussie mix, he was full of energy and naughtiness (a puppy), and a nightmare to control. Prior to being surrendered by his (previous) family, he went through two weeks of out of home boarding/training, costing upwards of $7,000. We thought this would have helped with obedience, but boy were we wrong. Fast forward two and a half years, sessions with a certified behaviorist, and failed attempts to use an e-collar, we were at a loss. He constantly displayed leash reactivity, would lunge at cars and dogs, and made it so we would rarely walk anywhere. He almost broke my finger during a break free lunge at a dog completely across a residential street! At home, dog forbid another animal appeared on the tv; he would jump and bark at everything. Then we found Chill Out... After the very first session with Scott, our big boy golden was a different dog. Scott set is up with the right tools to refocus our dogs behavior and break him of his leash reactivity. That very first walk was pleasant and uneventful. We almost felt foolish for claiming bad behavior. What we needed was the right trainer and methods to help our dog change behavior. Like I said at the beginning, I can't recommend Chill Out Training enough.

Quinn worked on potty training, staying on command, crate training, leash walking, and socialization with both dogs and cats. The progress Koda made in such a short time was incredible. What truly sets Quinn apart is her passion and genuine love for dogs. She treats every dog as if they were her own, and it shows in the care, patience, and dedication she puts into her work. I can't say enough good things about Colorado Exotic Animal Hospital. When my rabbit Addison…read morestarted having serious health issues, my local vet admitted they didn't specialize in exotic animals. After calling so many places, I finally reached someone at Colorado Exotic Animal Hospital (I wish I remembered her name), and from that very first call, I felt comforted and reassured. She was incredibly kind and made me feel like Addison would truly be in good hands. A few days later, I spoke with Ray to schedule the appointment, and they were just as wonderful--so patient, helpful, and understanding, especially knowing I would be traveling six hours from out of town. The day of the appointment, my drive took longer than expected, and Ray reassured me to just drive safely and that everything would be okay, which meant more than they probably realized. When we arrived, Dr. Ruoff and her technician Maddie took exceptional care of Addison. They truly went above and beyond--not only performing a thorough examination to get a proper diagnosis, but also helping clean her ears and gently cleaning her bottom since she has mobility issues. They flushed the fluids from her nose and eyes as well. Every step of the way, they treated her with patience, compassion, and genuine love. I was there for a few hours, and instead of feeling rushed, I felt supported and reassured. You can tell this team truly cares about the animals they treat and the people who love them. Thanks to them, I finally have peace of mind about what's going on with Addison--and that is priceless. I am beyond grateful to everyone who helped us and would absolutely recommend this hospital to anyone with an exotic pet.

They are incredibly knowledgeable and, most importantly, they are kind and non-judgmental. It's rare to find a team that cares just as much about the owner's well-being as they do the patient's. They consistently go above and beyond, providing a level of personal attentiveness and thoroughness that makes it clear they are truly invested in my bird's well-being. Ray & Hannah are professional and friendly and make me feel like I'm not just a number walking through the door. What I appreciate above all else is the deep compassion and heart they put into their work. As a bird owner, it is so easy to feel anxious or judged when seeking care, but this team provides a completely judgment-free environment. His behavior and fear far exceeded anything I could manage on my own, as nothing I did worked to help the Pup out. A friend of mine recommended Jenny. Jenny was amazing and God sent!!!! She supported me and gave me a lot of information on what to do to get our new found puppy to feel safe and come out of his shell. Through her walking me through what to do, contacting me to see how its going and her positive words the whole time, she was the catalyst for this puppy's recovery. Our new puppy went from being scared of us, Peeing himself when we were near and hiding in corners, to comming when I call, snuggling with me and playing all day long with his toys and our other dogs. He went from being the most sad soul I have ever met and transformed into a goofy and silly sweet boy. I accredit this to Jenny's information and guidance. He was a very extreme situation and it took a different approach and a level of understanding to get him to the place he is in now. Jenny comes highly recommended by myself and I would use her for any of my dogs or for any future needs because she is absolutely amazing!!! Our experience with Bruce at Dog Behaviors Denver has been absolutely phenomenal. We have a…read moreShepherd/Cattle Dog mix (high energy, high intelligence), and before meeting Bruce, we had tried multiple trainers, most of whom were only okay. Initially, we knew some basic commands, but the biggest struggle we could not overcome was our dog's obedience or reactivity concerns. Before Bruce, our dog did not do well with other dogs and people on walks, and guests couldn't come to our home due to fear of being accidentally hurt by him. Our lowest point was when our boy bit a lady at a local Farmer's Market, where we were attempting to do some training with him, and he became startled. We utilized as much of the training we had worked on with other trainers, but it wasn't enough. That's when we called Bruce. Here's our experience: at the initial meeting, we were very impressed with Bruce's resume and we could tell by his skill-set that he would be able to turn our boy around. Bruce had over 15 years experience working with dogs who were relinquished due to aggression or behaviors at a local humane society, turning them into confident, obedient and adoptable dogs. Not to mention, he also trained in Germany for 3+ years overseas with a military-style training for police dogs. Bruce uses a combination of high-drive reinforcement and timely corrections One thing to keep in mind though, you get out what you put in. If you aren't willing to do the work, Bruce might not be the right guy for you. We were pretty motivated and found a lot of success with Bruce. Within the first few sessions, we saw noticeable changes in our dog's behavior; he was gaining confidence through the consistency and training Bruce taught us about. Bruce's ability to fine-tune all the mixed signals we were giving AND giving us detailed explanations of why they were important to correct, completely changed everything for us. He even explains the science behind some of the techniques, which we appreciated. Our closest family and friends knew all the struggles we had experienced with our boy before Bruce. They have been so impressed with how much progress our dog has made. We would absolutely recommend Bruce to anyone needing dog training. You will be able to tell the passion and love for what he does the first time you meet him!

Oh my gosh. Adrienne Green with Bark Busters is an incredible dog trainer who teaches you to be a…read moredog pack leader and speak dog so your pup can quickly learn what you want him to do My husband and I have had dogs all our lives. Everything from Pomeranians to Labrador and Golden Retrievers and every breed, temperament and personality in between. It's easy to find trainers but it can be really hard to find a GOOD trainer! Over the years, we've spent thousands on dog behavior veterinarians, breed specific trainers, and your basic pet store group classes. All of these can work for some dogs, but not all. We lost our two black Labrador brothers this past summer to age related health problems. We were completely devestated. We didn't know if we could do it again until Jack decided for us. Jack is a male Bichon mix rescue, but who rescued who? Jack rescued us - literally ! When we got Jack home we wanted to start out on the right foot immediately. We used two online trainings - waste of money and time. We asked, searched and found several self-proclaimed and "guaranteed results" trainers. You had a time limited training. From past training experiences, if your dog didn't learn everything in that timeframe you were left feeling frustrated and confused as to what to do next. Then we found Adrienne at Bark Busters. They aren't inexpensive, but when we found out they would be partners for the life of our dog, we were hooked. In over 40 years of our dogs and training, Adrienne is the ONLY trainer who actually knows what she's doing. Jack began training as a timid puppy who then developed into a defiant teenager with an attitude. Adrienne has given us the tools and behavioral changes we needed to make to consistently provide Jack with age appropriate expectations. We now understand how to think like a dog and speak "dog". Jack is becoming calm and confident that we are the leaders and he can enjoy being a puppy. Thank you Adrienne!
