Pet Supplies might appear to be a small store, BUT it is packed with amazing isles of Pet Goodies and SELF DOGGY WASH STATION, with Ample room. Pretty Eyes, (my service dog) and I have been to several Pet Supply stores and my preference thus far is Wheat Ridge, off of Wadsworth. Immediately we are greeted with smiles and how can we help. BATH PLEASE for my dog, to be clear. They hand us a bucket, ask if we prefer 3 towels, OH YES! Fortunately we have our own brushes, for all too many other patrons have taken off with what was offered for years. No Problem and off we go. Pretty Eyes is READY to get CLEANED with special shampoos and conditioners. The on duty gentleman scurried towards the back to clean the plethora of previous customers, while stating, they have been inundated with Doggy Washes this day. NO Problem for a few moment wait. I unleash my Service dog and open the gate, she is off to her favorite side, jumps in and waits. I must mention, the water hose is "Very Durable" a bit stiff in operating, although they are generous in offering aprons, expect to get a bit wet and be prepare in managing the volume first before starting the wash including your choices of shampoo/conditioners. Yet, the choices are wonderful, from Oatmeal shampoo to shampoo/conditioner in same bottle and more! Ready to towel off! They do have a LONG hose for drying, it is a pitched sound, your dog may or may not care for, HAVE YOUR TOWELS READY! This is a fun time, and NO RUSH. Their set up "A Bucket" for all the fur no longer needed, a place to toss your wet towels and leave your bucket or return the bucket to the front desk. GREAT SERVICE. There is also an extra pricing if you choose; either $14.00 per visit or if one pays up front $40.00/each bath will cost $8.00 Have fun! read more

I went to this PSP recently to look for raw for my dogs. I tend to gravitate toward the freeze dried raw so I focused on that and I always check expiration dates before purchase. I found 10+ items that were expired still sitting on the shelf. No lie, one expired in 2023. I looked at the frozen raw and there were SO many expired products as well. I found a product I use that was expiring in less than a month and tried to see if I could get a discount. The associates and store manager couldn't approve a discount and said they couldn't call the GM (not that I asked them to) as "he doesn't like to be bothered". Most, if not all, PSPs give discounts on products expiring in a month or two but this place seems to not check expiration dates at all or be accommodating to customers. read more

All I know that this is a damn good store. I see somebody on here saying that they follow you around if you are a person of color get over yourself they follow everybody around in there because they're always asking us if we need help with something it's sad because everybody nowadays wants to make it about race, this is a very diverse store and see the patrons that come here I am Hispanic and I've never been mistreated. Yes sometimes they do overwhelm you by wanting to help you, but that's what they are trained to do. Love this shop- it's clean, well stocked, great selection of food, toys, and treats. But what makes it really great is the staff- everyone I've interacted with has been so polite, generous, and helpful. They've given me tips on remembering my coupons, treats for my dog, assurance in my overwhelm of selecting foods. Horrible people working here. I had my dog groomed there and they said they understood what I wanted. They had a new person groom him and they didn't do it right. I went to talk to multiple people there and kept asking if someone could reach out. No one did. I finally talked to the head groomer and she told me she would fix what they didn't do. She never told me they were going to charge me more. When someone fixes a mistake that they should have not made in the first place you don't pay for it. I would have been fine giving her a tip once she fixed it. To argue with someone and talk down to them when they question you isn't cool. They said I can't bring my dog back to get groomed. Ha. Why would I bring him back to idiots that treat people badly anyway? And on top of it they don't do a good job grooming. read more

The cat food I normally purchase on Amazon was constantly out of stock which motivated me to shop locally. I noticed this place next to Safeway and they had a huge selection and great prices. I did have to try something new for the boys, b/c it was a supply issue with the manufacturer. I decided shopping local for items I need every month is a great way to support our local economy and the families that live and work in Wheat Ridge. Hey self! - Stop being lazy on Amazon! I signed up for their mailing and started receiving coupons. I shopped online and my order was ready for pick up in less than an hour. Super disappointed in the grooming service. Had an appointment schedule at 1p and was told by the groomer that I could drop off early. Arrived noonish and was told that the groomer was not in and management couldn't reach her. About 30 min and I get a message that the groomer is about 10min away. Brought my dog back and dropped off for the appointment, was told it would take about 3.5h. 3p I receive a call that my dog needed to be picked up, that the groomer walked out shortly after I dropped off. My pup wasn't touched but it took them 3 hours to notify. No problem resolution from management, just a "thanks for coming back to get your dog so quickly". Just all around disappointment, I'll seek service elsewhere in the future and will encourage others to do so as well. read more

My wife and I are only giving 5 stars due to Customer Rep Marco at this Wadsworth, Wheatridge, CO store. We have tried over 3 other Pet Supplies Plus stores and the prices are very appealing but when we were met with rudeness, unhelpful behavior and were treated like we were not a customer (i.e. rep was on the mobile and we were given the "wait a minute" hand sign as the discussion of weekend plans and parties continued. We travel approx. 90 minutes as we live in the mountains 30 minutes past Black Hawk and to be met with this treatment, we should just pay full price at pet supply establishment. We were ready to give up on Pets Supplies Plus when we decided to try the Wheatridge, CO store on Wads and Marco was there. Pet Supplies Plus should open their eyes and see what a gem they have, and to NOT be a manager? This gentleman should be training all the managers in all of this district who clearly do not possess a managerial character and who do not uphold what we believe Pet Supplies Plus corporate would expect from their managerial staff. Corporate - if you are reading this, your prices are not low enough to warrant the treatment your untrained, unprofessional and rude current managers delve out to customers. location was very disrespectful and rude. I have come to the location many of time before and was always treated with respect, but after today won't be returning. While checking out at this location the manager was having a personal conversation with another customer for about 5mins while a line was forming. I was next in line and was waiting patiently until I noticed the time and spoke up and said something. When I got to the register to check out I told her I was having issues with my rewards but showed her I had a $5 off reward I wanted to redeem. She snatched my phone from my hand without asking, said I can't offer it because my total wasn't $30 or more, but my total was actually $42.58 and then preceding to call me "rude" because I didn't let her continue her personal conversation with the previous customer...I'm very disappointed in the way I was treated. Management should do better. I was unable to gather her information but I do know she was a store manager. Again I will not be returning to this wheat ridge location and will also be leaving a negative review on all other platforms so I can just to make sure other people aren't treated this way...very disappointing.VERY read more
