Their prices are fair and their services are top notch. Bridget has groomed all three of my boys exclusively for four years. As much as I hate to admit it, they like her more than they like me. I have never seen a dog get excited to get bathed and have their nails trimmed, but my boys love going to see Bridget! She is caring, sweet, talented, and patient. Many of my friends and co-workers also go to the Gentle Groomer Too and I have never heard any negative comments about their visits. I now live 40 minutes away but I continue to use Bridget and the Gentle Groomer Too so my boy looks, smells, and feels great! I recommend the Gentle Groomer Too to everyone and will continue to use them for years to come. Their shop has a happy, clean, and caring atmosphere that puts me and my boys at ease. We dropped our dog off this morning at 7:40am for his second grooming at this establishment. After 6 1/2 hours (the window is supposed to be six hours max) my husband stopped in and found our dog had only been washed and not yet groomed. He was still damp so obviously had been primarily kenneled for at least 5 1/2 hours. Our dog was whimpering and shaking so my husband decided to not have him groomed. (They told him it would be at least another hour before the grooming would take place.). No apology - just a shrug and 'we are running behind today.' He was charged $45.00 for the bath. I stopped in to discuss my concerns and the owner was rude and abrupt. Here again absolutely no apology. If you want to kennel your dog for hours on end this is the place for you. This was one of the best experiences I have had in a long time. I was relocated to Denver this summer and our Westie, Jasper, has had the same groomer for over 10 years!!! We tried a couple of places out. One was so choppy that I tried myself just to even it out. Disappointed, I let his coat grow out for a while before I started looking for another groomer. I visited several grooming shops and never felt comfortable taking him to anyone. So after combing the internet, I came across the Gentle Groomer Too. I called and talked to Bridgette and she was very sweet and assured me she would take great care of him. With Jasper being a senior now, I let her know that I didn't want him to stay in a kennel all day. So we arranged a time that I could bring him in and he could go right to the tub and get started right away. She worked with me to ensure that he would be in and out ASAP. When I took him in, I was met by Bridgette and I let her know what I wanted. I talked to her about his temperament and his medical issues (skin issues and arthritis in his hips). She assured me again that she would be extra careful and very gentle. A few hours later, I got a call that he was ready. When I got there and saw him, he was very happy and content. I was SHOCKED at how good he looked!!! This is probably one of the BEST cuts he has had in his 13+ years. I HIGHLY recommend Gentle Groomer Too and Bridgette. Was able to get a quick appointment for my two small dogs. Their are professional and friendly. We are very pleased with their cuts.

Just picked my dog up today from a routine haircut and they sliced open his armpit causing a lot of bleeding. They glued his skin together and offered to pay for any vet bills, but he was visibly shaken up and very scared when i picked him up. I get that accidents happen, but this was the third time they had hurt him. The first time, we had told them about a large wart on his nose; they ignored it and sliced it right off with lots of blood. That same trip they also cut one of his nails too short causing it to bleed and swell. We will not be coming back here. read more

I have taken my sheltie to a couple of different groomers, and have never had results like I got at The Gentle Groomer. I tried this place out based on the Yelp reviews. I paid a little extra for a "specialty" appointment, where I could stay and watch my little guy being groomed (he is shy and can be nervous with strangers). I stood across the room where I could watch, but not distract him from the groomer. The gal grooming him did FANTASTIC! She bathed, dried, brushed, and groomed my lil guy in 90 minutes with amazing results. They got his entire undercoat out and he was trimmed impeccably. They even were able to get all of the little knots and mats out from his collar area and ears. My dog was relaxed and not anxious at all during the entire process. Overall, they are reasonably priced for the great service they provide. I will definitely be taking my sheltie back! read more

I had used this groom shop several times in the past to have my sheltie groomed. The owner is nice, and the little groomer that had been grooming him always did a nice job. However, this time apparently a different groomer got her hands on him and literally HACKED away at him. She shaved off way too much hair on his under side, and sides. Whats worse, is the STRIP, better yet, GOUGE, she shaved down the FRONT of his hind leg, clear down into his paw. It's a 1/2 inch wide, obvious strip cut into his hair and looks hideous!!! DO EXPERIENCED GROOMERS DO THAT? Yes, I talked to the rude groomer, who had many excuses, but excuses just don't justify the POOR grooming my dog received. And it wasn't cheap!!! Will never go back. And NO, you did not live up to my expectations! read more

This place for such great reviews which makes our experience that much worse. We took our corgie and basset hound in for bath, nails and MOST importantly de-furring. We live 1/2 hr away and the dogs were still a bit damp and smelled like wet dog when we got home. And the hair was everywhere! I gave the pups some scratches and hair was flying so much I had to get out the broom to sweep. The shop gave my husband all this free stuff like pens and dog treats. I don't want swag. I want a de-furred dog. What a waste of $100 read more

Started using this groomer, went in and called multiple times to check on the business. Very nice people at first. Took dogs in everything ok until I got the dogs back. Grooming was totally unexceptionable. One was a puppy , first grooming, I got him home and had to redo. Awful. Looked like he hadn't been done. I'm sure being first time was not easy but this was awful. The older dog had a lot of missed spots also and he has been groomed for years with no problem. Called and asked if they could do better and they took me off of their books. WOW, think twice before you use this place. Have had one groomer for many years with no problem. Brenda is the kindest groomer to take care of you dog. I know her staff is just as good because I watched them as Bogie was getting groomed. Unfortunately, we had to stop going here. The owner is lovely, and the groomer does an amazing job. But, the groomer is SO very rude! We got tired of the bad attitude every time we went in. She made comments about the snarls in our pups coats, and accused of "hacking away" at the ear of my Cavalier. She didn't know he'd just had a painful mass removed from his ear, and the area had to be shaved before the procedure. Had she bothered to ask instead of going straight to sassy, we'd have explained. But she didn't. She was just plain rude. Many times over. So, we stopped going. It's a shame, but there are plenty of good groomers out there. No need to put up with the nonsense. read more

Staff is amazing and consistently provides a great grooming for your dog. We've had two large breeds now and they are always very polite and courteous and it has a real mom and pop feel to it unlike some of the larger chains that are constantly rotating staff. I was very disappointed in this groomer. I had to try several times to actually get an appointment made, and the ladies both seemed pleasant on the phone. However, even though I had explained my situation on the phone as having never had a dog that required professional grooming (our little terrier is 8 months), they immediately began lecturing me about how he should have been brought in earlier at 8 weeks old, which seems wasteful to me as this is the first time he needed a trim. Then when I asked when they thought he would be done, I got a big eye roll and a snotty remark about that this isn't an express groom and that they did not want to be rough on the puppy during his groom. (Well, I sure hope not. All I was trying to do was to know when they thought he'd be done so I could plan my day.). Then we got another snotty remark about he had some matting on his backside. Duh, that's why we are at the groomer. Then when I came back they start lecturing us about that he is 2 pounds overweight and that we need to train him. (Which we have been taking classes...he is only 8 months, he still has a lot to learn). The gal said, "I train my husband, I train my kids, I train my dogs." All I could think is you should not be training your customers and show a little respect. I gave up and took the pup out to the car with me to wait while my husband paid. It took him about 10 more minutes because the gal continued to lecture him rather than ringing up the service. He said at one point she was showing him how well her dogs minded, but he said it was rather funny because they wouldn't do anything she asked. Then she lectured him about feeding and kenneling. We go to great vets and they have never been concerned about his weight, his attitude, or the way he is treated. All of this information was completely unsolicited and out of line. Funny enough when I did ask what type of brush I should use, she said just a slicker and that was it. She didn't offer to show me the best way to brush him or anything, which is what I need because his coat is not easy to brush. Both of the ladies were sooo rude. I will definitely not return. The one star is for a decent cut and the price was reasonable. read more

Brought in my rescue cocker spaniel, they took off all his matts, cliped his toenails and he looked like a new dog. He and I were so happy. He was amiss when when came in so long and matted. I took my dog to Gentle Groomer yesterday. I dropped him off at 8am explaining to him that he does have anxiety and he had just lost his fur sister so if he was to much to handle call me and I can just come pick him up. At 1:30pm I had not heard anything and called to check on him. No one answered the phone, I decided to stop by to check on him. When I got there, I could tell something was wrong. The groomer told me that he was very hard to work with (he doesn't like his legs touched or something along those lines) She said she accidently cut him. Then proceeded to tell me that she was not done with his hair cut and it would be another hour. I asked to see him right then. Looking at the cut on his leg I knew something wasn't right. I told her I would take him home now. She tried to get me a discount, the manager rolled her eyes and said she would only give me five dollars off. I left and took a picture sending it to my vet. They told me it looked like he needed stitches and to bring him in asap. My poor little five pound yorkie needed two stitches due to being cut by scissors on his leg. My issues is not that he was cut. Accidents happen, I am aware he can be a handful. That is why I told them to call me if they had issues!! Here is where the problem is..no one called me! No one called to say an accident happened and would I like to come check on my dog!! If they had I could have come sooner and taken him to the vet. I took the vet bill to the groomer. They did pay for the bill. The groomer was very sad and apologetic. She asked the manager if she good refund the money for the groom. The manager replied "I already paid 127 dollar vet bill" and refused to give me money back. I will never take my dog back to a place like this, how dare you not let an owner know that their animal is injured so bad that they need stitches!! read more

Leah is amazing and always did a GREAT job on my two girls! They have a wealth of knowledge in working with difficult temperament type dogs and helped me with better understand both of my dogs. Be ready to have open ears and know that you don't know everything because like it or not- they will give you info about your dog or breed and if you accept it- you will be better off for I. Your other choice is to be offended. Don't be stupid. Accept advice and accept these amazingly talented too-notch pros to take care of your pups. I'm now in another state but I certainly miss the work these gals did. Nothing like it in Denver - especially for such a fair price!!! read more
