I stopped by on my lunch looking for a new walking lead for my puppy who is becoming much too strong for the collar and leash she has now. She is 16 weeks and already 45 pounds, Therein lies the problem, she's big and still has a lot of growing to do, and I needed help finding their most flexible solution that would grow with her. Customer service is great. The store is very clean. It's never super busy. I typically use this location for my dog food pick up because not every Petco carries this brand of food which is instinct brand for a small breed. I have also used their Grooming Salon. I had ok experience with the Grooming Salon I have returned, but I can't say it's not my favorite but I do love the area. The pick up is easy anytime I do a online pick up order. It's always ready when it says it will be via the app. Parking is ample it's in a little shopping center so it's not hard to find. The one parrot currently being housed was using his beak to pick the paint off this terrible piece of rusted equipment in the cage (he moved when we took the picture). I don't know why someone thought leaving that in there instead of replacing it with a new one was a good idea. If I could give a negative star review, I would. We have gone to this location for several years for pet grooming and to purchase pet supplies. We have had multiple issues with the grooming department, including Hannah. One groomer cut one of our dogs, and she required stitches. We get it, unfortunately accidents happen, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. On more than one occasion, they have cancelled our grooming appointments. On multiple occasions, they have forgotten to put our dogs shot records in the system and we turned away because they needed updated records. We had an appointment for 2pm tomorrow. They messaged us wanting to change it to 12pm, noon. So we said sure. Now they want to change our appointment to 8am. I explained that we have kids and tomorrow is the first day of school. 8am is not doable. Our dog also has a 10am vet appointment tomorrow. So Hannah said we can do 9am or 10am. I told her, I do not think you are understanding me. 8am, 9am, and 10am will not work, but the 12pm, noon appointment will work. She then tells me that only those are available because our dog is now a "VIP". I told her, it's okay, we do not have to be a "VIP". She said that we cannot change the "VIP" status because our dog has diabetes, and you can speak with the store manager. I spoke to the store manager and he said the same thing. We have 4 dogs, and we have taken them there for the past 9 years. Plus, we foster dogs and rabbits for local rescue groups. We have spent thousands of dollars at this location, and other local Petco's. Needless to say, we will never step foot in another Petco again. Way to many options / competitors to work with that have better customer service and availability. read more

We've been using this Petco for a while now. The management staff is all about customer service and I really appreciate it! We use their grooming salon regularly. Kudos to May, Mary L and Hannah! All excellent groomers. My babies always look great and come out happy. Their prices aren't cheap by any means on the grooming but I combat that by belonging to their Petco Vital Care Program. The reward dollars we gather on a monthly basis usually takes $30 off our grooming. We have each dog groomed every other month. With the Vital Rewards after 7 grooms, you get a groom free which also helps. We also have our dog food delivered right to the house with the Vital Rewards program and we get the 8th bag free. Their dog food prices are competitive and who wants to mug dog food? Not me! I love the delivery. read more

I have brought my dog in three times in the last week and been turned away each time. First time they sent employees home early due to a power outage? Yet no signage was left and the grooming was left unlocked. I stood in there for a ridiculous amount of time before asking someone what was up. Most recently I show up at 5:15 to take advantage of the 2-6 happy hour and I am told the salon is closing. I told her it was 2-6 happy hour and I was well within the window. She had to go ask a manager. Then she tells me she can't print anything and blames corporate. Never seen someone try so hard NOT to work in my life. Fool me once? Shame on you. Fool me three times? Pricing is deliberately misleading. They quote $62 for a long haired dog, and don't tell you up front that they add a $5.99 "materials charge", and then another $7.00 for brushing out a longer hair dog. The $62 already says it for a long haired dog. I only discovered the extra charges when I called to ask if $62 was the final charge. read more

Petco was my to-go pet store when I was living in Phoenix, AZ. I always took my dog there to get groomed and bath. Never had an issue with their services. Took my dog to the Colleyville location to get him groomed and bath. He comes home and immediately starts scratching himself like crazy. He never used to do this after getting groomed. I dont know what shampoo they used or if they ever cleaned the cutting tools used to shave the dogs after each dog, but mine ended up itching so badly that he scratched himself until he is bleeding. Below are the cuts on his tail from scratching it constantly. Will not be returning to this petco location. I regret bringing my dog to this location. read more

Petco is always my favorite place to get pet supplies for my babies. We used to have 2 cats and 3 dogs until not too long ago but lost our cats due to illness and old age. Now we have only our 3 dogs and Petco is our place for everything from dry food to treats, brushes or wet food. We buy there the beds and the toys, even leashes and dog shampoo. Training classes are available and there's always a food drive for the animals in the shelter. The place is carries all sort of food and accessories for fish, hamsters, reptiles and amphibians, birds and even tarantulas. Clean, professional service and helpful staff that will ease your way through the shopping experience. I love Petco. I recommend Petco and will definitely continue to shop here. read more

I come here for all my cats food, she eats the nature's Instinct food and they always have a great selection. Apart from the occasional random reorganization of it I always seem to find what I need rather quickly in this store. Yoder dog training lesions and have a great selection of dog, cat and bird toys. Typically they have cats for adoption and ferrets as well as birds. The cages always look clean and well care for as well. Today the 4 star is because they didn't have any hair all control food or treats and I'm going to have to order them online instead. But everyone in the building is always super nice! read more

I am not really in this part of colleyville very often, so it was neat to see the new development in this shopping center that had been slowly dieing after Kmart had left due to their cut back in stores. With whole foods entering the picture this center obviously attracted more name-brand corporate stores like this petco. Well I had to come to this shopping center to go to goodie goodie, because I had been given my friends brothers name in a gift exchange, and figured I would pick up my pets stocking stuffer because they were the last couple gifts that I needed to get because my dog has a way of finding treats so I have to time getting things to when my husband who is a foot taller than me can immediately put it higher than my pointer, who on his back legs can reach most places I can. Anyway, with it being a newer store it is very clean and maintained. To me it is more of the size of a unleashed, only slightly bigger to accommodate the grooming salon. Because of what I figure is the size of store they are having to work with the lay out is really ... confusing. I spent about 15 mins in the store and was only able to find one of the things I came into get. Two employees were busy doing what they needed to be doing, stocking shelves & grooming. The other two were just sitting around talking, only looking over at me to make sure I heading to the check out counter, so that at least one of them would have to do something. So I ended up just setting down the one item at the register & walked out, luckily finding it about a buck cheaper at walmart, as well was able to find everything else I needed. I'm sure that this could be a good location ... I'll just stick to the unleashed near my house that I know where stuff is & that the employees help without having to be asked. read more

I've taken my dog several times to get groomed here and never had an issue till yesterday. My husband went to take our dog and drop him off since I needed to go to work. He asked them what time do they close because he gets off at 4, but has physical therapy and I (his wife) doesn't get off till 6. So he calls me right before I head into my job to tell me that they are going to charge over $70 and tells me that the lady at the front grooming desk stated there would be an extra fee if we pick him up after 1?! I told him don't worry I'll figure it out later and call on my lunch as to why they are charging us so much. Well luckily I received a text stating that my dog was ready for pick right before my lunch so I headed out there. When I got there I saw there was a matting fee and materials fee? Like I said, I've brought him here before in the same condition as the other times and never got a matting fee before. I've worked for a dog groomer for years and know that he was not matted to get a fee. When I asked for the manager Caleb he just told me "Well I can't really do anything because I didn't see him before he got groomed" now mind you I'm trying to deal with all this on my lunch with food in the car waiting to be taken to my kids at home. I just told him I would pay whatever bill now and deal with this later and speak to Eric. I got home with only 8 mins to eat and be off to work again so I really didn't have time to see how he was groomed. Well here are the photos of how he was "groomed". So please tell me, does this look worthy of $83?! I think not! I've NEVER EVER spent this much for a grooming session let alone this bad of a botched attempt. This is the nicest Petco ever! This place is huge too and they actually have green iguanas! My son and I were in Grapevine for the Repticon a few weekends ago and they didn't have what we wanted. I called around and this Petco carries iguanas! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly! The one chick that helped me knows reptiles too and we found some supplies. I am familiar with iguana care and they were awesome and did mention they get big and need space which was pleasing because many chain pet stores don't care and people release their pets because they don't realize their pets will grow lol I called a few days later with questions (I was excited and forgot to ask when I was there lol) and they were patient and friendly and let me know what time their reptile person gets in so I called back and got some additional info. Their iguanas are four months old when they get them and sometimes they've had two month old ones. I was just curious so I can keep track of it's age and "milestones". Nikki is doing awesome! I love coming to Petco. Each time I come here I am greeted and asked if I need assistance. They have a variety of dog and cat food available in every price range. I have tried a few brands for my cats thanks to one of their knowledgeable associates and so far the picky eaters are happy. I come here twice a month and I have never had a bad experience. They have monthly coupons available or maybe it's just seems that way because each time I'm there the food that I purchase is on sale. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for pet food or supplies/toys for their animals. read more

OVERCHARGING! Having just moved to Colleyville, I went to the nearest place for dog food which turned out to be Petco at 4801 Colleyville Blvd Suite 710, Colleyville, TX 76034. I went there today for the second time and for the second time their prices seemed extremely high compared to PetSmart and other competitors. Specifically, I bought a 20 pound bag of Wellness dog food and was charged $69.99 plus tax. When I got home I looked it up on the Petco website and the price was $59.84. BTW: that is almost the exact same price ast Petsmart and Chewy.com. When calling the store I was told that their prices may differ from the online price... but $10?! Buyers beware... read more

I usually love going here. But this last experience I had with an employee named Mason left a bad taste in my mouth. So unfriendly, and rude to be working in customer service. First he wasn't even at the register. I waited for a solid 5 min on him. He comes walking up, doesn't apologize, doesn't say hello, just drinks his coffee, and rings me up. I say hello, and he proceeded to tell me to enter my pals reward # if I have one. I mentioned the email I got about $10 off of $50, as I was spending $125 on dog food so I wanted to make sure I got every discount I can get. I show him the email, and he replies in the most condescending voice "this is petsmart". I laugh at myself, and say "oh goodness I am so sorry haha" and he just hands me my receipt. I'm leaving and I (the customer) have to say thank you, have a good day with a big smile. And he so dry replies yeah you too. I hate to give it 3 stars, but one bad seed can ruin an experience for a customer, and make them not come back. I always go here to get Harley's Blue Wilderness, but I think I should have left the dog food at the cash register, and just went to PetsSmart. read more

And they have a selection of stand up dog feeders which is great for me since I have two large dogs who need their food and water elevated. I was treated like a criminal the last two days by the manager for having coupons for dog and cat food. She first made up her own coupon policy (I contacted corporate and they told me her rule was not one they made up) then today she asked me how many times I planned on coming back. Both days she told me that I was a problem for couponing and that I was the reason people who "were paying" would not be able to get their items- though I did not clear shelves. Both employees who checked me out after the manager was done embarrassing me were very rude and continued to tell me how I was taking from them. AWFUL customer service.
