After moving further away, I tried a couple of 'pet resorts' on the westside of town, but was never totally happy for various reasons. So, now I drive further for Applewood, but am confident that my Ragdoll will be properly cared for and paid attention to according to my wishes--they keep a score card as to how he does each day. There is a veterinary on the property as well. Various styles of lodging are available to pick from--even keeping bonded pairs together if desired. I highly recommend Applewood for cats! I visited the facility ahead of my dogs' stay and was greeted right away. The staff gave me a full tour, showing the different room options and both the indoor and outdoor play areas. I also noticed there were a lot of employees present during my visit, which gave me peace of mind knowing the dogs are well cared for. They even suggested bringing my dogs in for day camp before their stay, which I really appreciated. I dropped them off for a few hours, and that helped me feel even more confident moving forward. I booked a 3-night stay and received updates when I called to check in, which I loved. When I picked them up, I was greeted immediately again, and the staff was just as friendly as before. Most importantly, my dogs seemed happy--and that means everything. I'll definitely be using Applewood Pet Resort for all my future boarding needs

Total nightmare. This lady just bought the business from the previous owners, DOGGIE IN THE MIRROR…read more We've been monthly customers for about 2 years. After her take over, we had one visit, and when I picked up my dog, he COULD NOT WALK. Just frozen, and wobbling. It was heartbreaking. I'd never seen him like that. He had been with them for almost 4 hours, because when I came at the scheduled pickup time, they were not ready. I asked what happened, and they just shrugged and said "He's old. Probably just stiffness..." I was gobsmacked by the lack of concern or empathy. The owner said "He'd been standing so long on the table, he must just be stiff." Here's an idea: How bout don't leave the animals standing there so long they can't walk. I paid, angrily. She never called to follow up. Never checked in to see if he was walking better, or in pain. Never apologized for the bad experience. Is this business even still open? Because, treating animals (and people) like that, they won't be for long. PS: Had to go to the vet the next day, and the poor little guy was on pain pills for over a week after. The vet suspects he fell off the table while being left unattended, but, there's no way to prove it. Thankfully, no broken bones, and he was able to get around again in a few days. Here's the video of him trying to walk: https://youtu.be/dPSU8xCUKJw RESPONSE TO JULIA: Bingham is 12. You were not there when I dropped him off. The groomer never mentioned anything about his gait at drop off. There are no calls or text from you on my phone bill. You treated us horribly, and without compassion.

We made the appointment several days earlier after stopping by last Saturday to see what the place was all about. We met Morgan, who was very nice, and turned out to be Bailee's stylist yesterday. She remembered Bailee, and it was at her recommendation that we scheduled her for an early appointment on a weekday (as she is still getting used to other dogs). The pricing was a bit funky; we wish it was a bit more transparent. My wife was quoted $90 initially with a $5 discount. At the time of the appointment, we noted that Bailee is a foster with a local rescue that is a 501c3; it states on the website that they offer half off services for the first three visits (which is very generous!). When noting this again, the price changed to $45. A tip of 20% was added, and then the price jumped up to $60. While we aren't complaining about the price, it was just very confusing and could certainly be clarified further in the future. We also have been prepared to share her vaccinations with Puff & Fluff. While interacting with two other team members separate from Morgan, we thought we would note an interesting occurrence. One team member called and asked for documentation about Bailee being fostered though when my wife arrived, she was told no documentation was needed by another team member when my wife asked. We also hadn't been asked for information about vaccinations, which surprised us. We are still happy to share the documentation about vaccinations or fostering as needed. Overall, Bailee enjoyed her time, and Morgan seemed to really be kind and caring towards her. Bailee seems to be more comfortable and cooler now. Morgan really listened when we requested Bailee's hair to be long enough to not be sunburnt but short enough to keep her cool. It would have been nice for Bailee to have received a hair bow as a part of her grooming, but either way, we look forward to returning to Puff & Fluff again in the future!
