I had a very upsetting experience. I have been a regular customer, and last night I saw a Cockatiel and Jenday Conure with no perches in the cages. I pointed this problem out, was told they would fix the problem right away. Went back a few hours later, no change. I even offered to BUY perches for the birds. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager "Kevin" was contacted by phone, but rather than allowing me to speak to him directly to explain the situation, I was told to leave by a young person named "Will", or he would call the POLICE! Seriously? This is how you treat your animals and your customers? Besides spreading the word of my experience, I will be contacting Animal Control on Monday morning. Fortunately, I have video of the animals in need. SHAME ON YOU!!! read more

Went into to see what kind of fish selection they had, 4 bettas DEAD on the shelves, so sad!! They definitely don't maintain fish care!!!! All their tanks in the back looked sooo overstocked and I didn't see a single isle for aquariums or fish supplies! How are you going to sell fish but not tanks or things to properly care for them!! Great pet store! Very convenient to our area and happy they opened a location here! Prices can be lower than Petco if they have specials. If not they may be a couple dollars higher but it is still worth going to PSP than Petco due to the drive. It is always very clean inside. Love the dog bathing showers! The pet supplies plus by my old neighborhood was very welcoming and asked if we needed help etc. They would also offer assistance with the food bags to the car. My family loves this place! It's amazing! They have such a great variety of pet supplies and we get our elderly dogs groomed here and they treat our dogs as if they were their own. My oldest dog, Reina, is blind and going deaf and I love how gentle they are with her along with patient. Toffee, our schnauzer/corgi mix is elderly too but still acts like a pup and they treat her as such! Basically all around great place to trust with your dogs! Do not take your pet to this store to be groomed. They almost killed my dog during a grooming session. I dropped off a healthy 3 year old dachshund and three hours later, when I picked him up, he was in a major medical crisis. He could barely breathe. The groomer was irritated and short with me because my dog "didn't like the blow dryer" and "pooped all over himself". My dog was standing on the grooming table, held up by straps, UNATTENDED when I arrived. He almost fell off he turned to look at me. I could see immediately that he was in distress. I took him to an emergency clinic where it was determined that my boy had endured an acute choking event. His lungs were full of fluid, and he had a 50-50 chance of survival. The store won't provide me with the surveillance video. What does that tell? This store has a reputation of animal cruelty during grooming (burns, cuts, bruises), and I am going to do something about it. read more

Drove by Pet Supplies Plus and reached out to my neighborhood on what they thought of their grooming here and they were right! Jill did an OUTSTANDING job on my labradoodle! She took time to explain how she was going to trim him and even showed the tools she was going to use before to ease my mind on his length! After picking him up, I couldn't be more impressed with his grooming. I have found my grooming place and won't be going back to PetSmart! read more

The store is okay, but... the groomer is awful!! Last time I had my Goldendoodle groomed, he came back with a terrible uneven cut, shave burns and a bleeding toenail! They didn't bother to tell me about the nail they cut too close, and I didn't notice until I had blood all over my shirt. They didn't tell me anything! Couldn't have cared less. And his hair was uneven all over, especially his face. read more

Well used to be the place we went to get our dog food, fish supplies,and the grooming of our dogs! Will not be back EVER! The way the owner does not back his products is truly the reasoning why we will never be back! The way that his manager Will handles customer issues stinks! So let's see we spend about 90 to 100 dollars a month there and they had a promotion that if you bought a 30 pound bag of Victor Dog Food and you get a small bag of victory doggie treats for free. Well we bought the victory dog food that we always get $57 dollars plus per bag and they did not have the correct size for the free Victor doggie treats so I had to buy the bag of doggie treats! Well none the less feed the doggie treats to my 1 year old Pit Tuesday night and by Wednesday night she had developed huge bumps on her skin and by Thursday morning was shaking! So my wife took her to the vet and $440 later she was on the track of recovery! She had an allergic reaction to the doggie treats! I called Pet Supply today and they are not willing to help with the vet bills even thou it was caused by a product that they sell! Beware Do Not Go Here Because If Anything Happens To Your Pets From A Product They Sell Then They Will Not Help You! Should be a zero but won't let me post unless I give them a one star. read more

I rate my dogs grooming a one star because they messed up the fur on her head it's all choppy they cut one side of her whiskers off and cut some of the whiskers off on the other side they cut it way too short and the fur on her head is a different length than her body and they didn't even groom her tail at all they nicked her ear and didn't tell me and over all it was just a bad groom in general DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM!!!!! read more

I love the Spring store and it's friendly helpful people. I get many items there as I volunteer with feral cats. Unfortunately on 3/10/2018 at 17:01 I found a disturbing sight. The guinea pig did not have any water and was laying on it's side panting (?). Never saw that done before and I have had five to date. As soon as I informed the staff a wonderful employee took the guinea pig out to make sure it was ok and set about getting water. She has also requested a new bottle as it appears to have leaked out. read more

Wonderful staff and service! They were so friendly. THey have dog wash - basically a diy area where you can wash your pups- is $10 a dog, has organic shampoo, hair dryers and they supply towels so no mess in your bathtub! Will be returning. Really pleased to have this nearby. Will try the grooming next! read more

I originally wrote a review about how disappointed and upset I was about my Yorkie's grooming experience here. I am updating my review because now I'm beyond livid about his experience. At first I was just upset that his hair cut was nothing of a traditional Yorkie teddy bear cut that I asked for in any way... the lady just shaved him all over. At first I noticed small patches on his skin that looked irritated but didn't read too much into because his skin is sensitive and I have calming lotion for him from the vet. But as time passed I noticed how much my dog couldn't stop licking and scratching at himself and could tell that he was uncomfortable himself. His haircut was way too short and irritated his skin so badly that he cannot stop itching at himself and has rubbed parts of his skin on his neck raw and cannot stop biting at body and nothing has seemed to help. He's made parts of his body bleed from this because it's so bad. I've never had an experience from other groomers that worsened his skin, if anything it has always helped him and improved it (I couldn't go to his usual groomer because they were booked and I was planning to be in Spring not San Marcos for awhile so I figured I would just bring him here as my mom brings our other dogs here for nail trimming.) I am so angry with the experience and will never bring my Yorkie here for any kind of service ever again. I understand that the weather is hotter and his hair could be short but she irritated his skin so badly with the clippers I'm so angry because any good groomer would know when to stop. I'm sure that if his skin is this irritated now, that his grooming experience was uncomfortable while it was happening. Also, she commented that he was a little "mean" and doesn't like his paws touched, but his normal groomer has never said anything but positive things about him as they actually take their time and earn his trust to make him feel comfortable. Not to mention that when I dropped him off she seemed a little dismissive and rude when I was telling her what I wanted for his haircut. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE TO BE GROOMED. I have never had an experience this horrible, yet alone have a dog uncontrollably itch and be uncomfortable after being groomed. I am so angry and feel so bad for my poor dog that he had to go through this, it's obvious that he's uncomfortable. If i could give zero or negative stars I would!! The lady should be ashamed as should the establishment themselves as this is completely unacceptable. read more

The customer service is excellent. I always buy Purina Pro Plan Large Breed puppy food from here. I bought a bag and noticed the dog food looked completely different from the 25 or more bags I've purchased in the past. I thought maybe they just changed the food. I fed it to my mastiff and he was vomiting and diarrhea the very next day. I called and spoke to the manager. He apologized and told me to just come get a new bag and they will replace my bag. I went up to the store the next day and they replaced my bag. When I got home, the food looked like it usually does. Not sure what happened with that one bag, but it definitely made my dog sick. They were very helpful in resolving the matter. I always come here for my dogs treats and food. Very reasonably priced and friendly staff. read more

I really really like this store. The employees have a pep in their step and smiles on their faces. They are very helpful and enjoy what they do. I like the self-service dog wash. It has shampoo, a dryer, and towels. It takes 3 people to get my Golden Retriever into a tub for a shower at home. It was SO much easier at PSP! Great selections on food and treats. I will definitely not be shopping here again. Half of the animals did not have food or water, I asked the staff member about it and she said that the bowls may have just been empty because they already ate today but some animals did not have any food or water bowls at all and they looked very poor and unhealthy which was very upsetting. Most of the fish tanks had dead fish in them I counted 6 in just one after that unfortunate number I didn't even bother to check how many were dead in the other tanks. I'm extremely disappointed at the way they treat the animals. Staff was not great either nobody welcomed us or asked if we needed help they were all talking to each other the whole time it felt like they didn't even know we were in the store. This may be a lengthy review but I felt the need to detail the events that have occurred after my frustration I encountered today. I would first like to list the pros of this store first. The staff is always friendly and I love that you get greeted when you enter through their doors. They even carry your dog food to your car which is an excellent touch. Now on to why I won't continue to shop here. I buy my dogs the Acana brand of dog food and once you buy 12 bags you get the 13th free. My first bag was small but continued to purchase large bags well more than 12 times. When I went to receive my free bag I was told one of the receipts was for a different customer and wouldn't count to my 12 bags. I knew I had bought more than the 12 and I was told by the manager that day that the person who made the mistake no longer worked there so they couldn't verify the 12th bag. They assured me the next one would be free. Fast forward to today. I was denied again because the first receipt showed the small bag purchase and I would need to buy another bag today. Clearly upset because this is twice I went in expecting a free bag and walked out having to pay. To avoid a third time I went ahead and picked up my free bag. Later on I received a call from the manager who said they felt bad for what happened and looked into my account. Turns out (as I had expected) that I had 3 large bags unaccounted for. So not only should I've had a free bag the first time, I was originally lied to about not being able to view my purchase history in their system. While he offered 15% off my next bag and to put the 3 extra I have already paid for on the list, I will not come back here again. I can easily go to krisers where they make sure to keep my information up to date without having to worry about a cashier messing anything up. While the the girl helping me and the manager were incredibly nice it does not make up for the frustration I have dealt with just to receive a free bag of food. I'm giving 2 stars for the customer service and that I feel is generous enough. read more

I had heard such great things about Pets Supply Plus so I decided to take my kids in earlier this afternoon to get some new fish for our tank. The store is bright and clean, the cashiers were super friendly and smiling but I was less than impressed with how our fish were handled. My older kids each picked an angel fish out and she was very aggressive in getting the second fish out. She admitted to not having much patience for fish. The fish were so stressed that by the time I got them home, they were extremely pale in color. The white with black striped angel my son had picked looked almost completely white. They seem to be perking up, but time will tell. I would go in this store for pet supplies but won't be coming back in for fish any time soon. UPDATE: This morning one of the angels had kicked the bucket. I have had the new fish about 16 hours tops. (I have an established tank and the fish we already had are fine so I know it is not my tank.) read more
