Disappointed with Pet Supermarket during my latest visit. Employees are friendly and it looks like they have an extensive selection of food for a variety of pets. Their cat section looks extremely well stocked. But I didn't come here for food or cat items. We have a dog that loves to chew, and I mean CHEW. So I wanted to get her some Nylabone-type dog toys that she could chew and chew and not destroy. Selection of dog toys is abysmal. Very little, whether it's chew bones or ropes or any kind of dog toy. Most of the displays were empty. Completely empty. Lots of leashes and collars and edible chew items (stuff I don't give my dogs due to choking hazards). A decent selection of balls. But no ropes, no long-lasting chew bones. I did settle on a few items, but they were not really what I was looking for. I almost wanted to ask at the checkout "Where did all of your dog merchandise go?" but decided to just purchase my few items and come home to order stuff on Chewy. Very disappointed. read more

Their prices were wrong on many items. I was overcharged on 3 items. After I purchased the items I noticed the prices were wrong on the receipt. They refused to reimburse me the difference even after acknowledging the prices were wrong. They told me there was nothing they could do about it. Everything at this store is overpriced. I'll be doing all my shopping on Amazon from now on. The same products are cheaper on Amazon and they deliver it to your home. read more

Dog wash stations are excellent. The service is simple & affordable: walk in, let them know what you want, pay, and they give you the shampoo, conditioner, towels, & dryer. The wash stations are well built with tile surround, counter height, and perfect spray nozzle. It's a bit of a drive for me. I will return, but I wish I had one close to my home. read more

2/17/20 Update. Well corporate clearly gets it. I contacted the number in the reply and spoke with a rep who understood in under 10 seconds what manager Robert failed to grasp. He was very apologetic and let me know the managers are empowered to do what I had asked originally and that Robert will be receiving additional training to that end. I didn't ask for or expect any compensation, just an apology and awareness of this isn't how you treat customers when the mistake was on the part of the store especially, but the store credit offered me to compensate me for my time and inconvenience - that's true customer service as it should be. I was not asked to update or change my review at all, but since Antonio and Corporate made it right with me, I wanted to let the Yelpers know. Our voices are heard! :) read more

My friend and I went inside to get my dog some flea and tick medicine and also some wipes. I was with my doggy too. And one of the workers was literally following us around the store the whole time! Obviously, he was racist because when other non brown people walked in , they got greetings and left alone. And he thought we didn't see him but we did! It was a white tall guy. We walked in to look at puppies and yes we were looking for a new addition to our family. Immediately after walked in we were greated by a sales girl who did not leave our side Here's where it goes wrong They tell you your puppy has a warranty and that you are basically paying for the care not the puppy We were told we got free lifetime vet visits all you pay is for prescriptions if your puppy is sick That was a lie We were told that we get a free puppy for the price we paid if our baby dies no matter how old she is so if she's 15 dies of natural causes we get a replacement That was a lie We were told that we get monthly vitamin pack for our baby for 3 months and we keep getting it for free during the lifespan of our puppy That was a lie We kept being pushed to finance our purchase over and over again We were told we got a welcome kit which ended up being an additional $200 which had missing items We were told that we could call them for anything That was a lie We were told we got free training We have not gotten it, the vet advised us not to go to pet land until our puppy was fully vaccinated So basically we didn't get our pet training because we didn't because they said we were to bring her in within 3 days of purchasing to begging her training kind you the puppy is 8 weeks old When we call, I can not reach a managerial get put on hold wait and get transferred to pet care hotline number that never answers The price of these puppies are $6000 to upwards of $15000 THIS IS A PUPPY MILL disguised as a pet land oasis where you find your lifetime family pet. If we had known this before Done research and read the reviews and complaints against them and with the BBB I would have never gone and bought a puppy from here. I'm ashamed to say I did. Regardless of our puppy I'm truly ashamed. I got tired of called several times a day for 2 weeks after my purchase if I didn't live an hour away I would have gone up there only to waste my time because they would have given you the 1800 to call and escorted you out or should I say kicked you out as they have done to so many clients They straight up told me after you walk out with your purchase we no longer have anything to do with your purchase Like the guy straight up told me that! read more

The people in this store are the absolute best. I got all of my ferrets from this store and I take them back every other weekend for more treats and everyone there is so happy to see the ferrets again. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted by name from the registers. It's like I'm visiting friends! read more

Update: I feel terrible that I forgot to give props to the dude workers!! The ladies are amazing but the guys are so sweet too. The entire staff is wonderful here. Products are good, but the staff that was working today at 2-3, not so much. This feedback is for growth and change. When animals on leash come in...try to be aware and foster a calmer environment. When asked for assistance - please do NOT prioritize stocking a dog dessert cabinet above an immediate customers needs. I spend $200+ a month there. Not as much of my $ will go for this atmosphere & lack of service. Please train your staff better! I must say there are other quality employees at this location. Just not today. read more

I have been a frequent shopper at this store and love the layout and selections. However, I am disappointed that this location no longer offers any COVID precautions for the employees and customers. No masks or plexiglass barriers for employees, no encouraging of masks for customers. When they first reopened after the pandemic they took things very seriously wearing masks and limiting the number of customers. Now that COVID here in Harris County is skyrocketing all precautions are gone. Very disappointing. read more

Brought my dog in for a wash and the dog wash is great and the supplies smell great and it's only $10. My dog was full of mud from the park and now she is nice and clean and smells great. Eric at the counter was super friendly and really helpful. Will definitely be back! read more

The selection is smaller than a Petco but the customer service rocks. Erica helped find affordable options for my lactating mother dog with 10 puppies. This was a foster situation and I wasn't expecting to keep the dog for as long has I did. Even with her help I ended up spending over $200 on food for this sweet girl. Mama and her pups are now in Colorado waiting for adoption and all are super healthy. Thanks for all your help! The employee who is always on the computer and never greets anyone is a douchebag. Everyone else like Kat, Damon, and Erica makes me and my animals feel so welcome. They are great. But the guy with the blonde hair who's name is Robert is so rude and not helpful at all. I don't know where they got this guy from but he's terrible. I walked in one day with my dogs in need of dog food and I asked for assistance with dog food and instead of putting the customer first, he didn't want to get off the computer so he sent another employee that was busy at the time to help me.
