My sis recommended this vet hospital, as they performed surgery on her 10-year-old pittie, and she was beyond pleased with the care. Tex visited this hospital just a handful of times in his final year. He mostly saw Dr. Alyssa Rahaim, and I really liked her bedside manner with us, her advice, and how easy she was to reach by email or phone (especially in his final days when I wasn't sure if it was time to put him down. She called me while she was on vacation.). Additional pros: The facility has a very friendly staff, short wait times, onsite pharmacy... I think they also do boarding and grooming (in a separate building up front). Two things I wish for: :: If they did house calls/mobile visits, because it was very difficult to get my 14-year-old lab out of the house, into a car, and into the vet every six months for his labs. :: Or, if they could reserve some front parking or the loading zone with a sign that specifies it's for loading/unloading elderly dogs or disabled dogs, and of course for emergencies (which I assume that's what it's mainly used for), but I've witnessed that loading zone fill up with people too lazy to park in the lot and walk inside. But to end this review on an uplifting note, when Tex did pass (I used a mobile service from a different provider), Cypress Fairhaven Animal Hospital sent me the loveliest sympathy card that was hand signed - with sweet messages - from their entire staff. Tex was only a patient there for a short while, yet they treated him as though he was a lifelong patient.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this grooming facility…read more After my puppy was groomed here, she came home with a busted blood vessel in her eye. I recorded the groomer admitting that he had to hold her head "tight" because she didn't like the bath. My dog is a puppy and has been groomed before with no issues, so this is unacceptable. When I contacted customer service, I was given a completely different excuse and told it was because my dog was "stressed." So which is it? Was she stressed, or was her head held too tightly? The lack of accountability is alarming. To make matters worse, no manager has contacted me despite multiple promises. I was told someone would call me "today," then "today or tomorrow," and now I'm still waiting. When I followed up, I was brushed off. There has been no sense of urgency, concern, or care for my dog's wellbeing. How does a dog leave your facility injured, and no one has the decency to reach out? That shows a complete lack of professionalism and compassion. This business does not seem to care about animals--only money. The service is overpriced, the communication is terrible, and the customer service is even worse. If you care about your pet, do NOT take them here. I will be sharing my experience so others are aware of how poorly this situation was handled. This is unacceptable, irresponsible, and dangerous

Even worse, the tech looked at the wound briefly and said it's "not that bad" (muscle was literally exposed it's quite deep!) and that their pricing is because they're an ER corporate clinic. When we asked for advice to clean it on our own, he said to use soap and water. So how is that $1000? Save your time and money and go anywhere else to avoid being scammed & taken advantage of. Very disappointing and I'm not sure how these people sleep at night knowing they take such advantage of distressed people who need care for their precious animals.

The doctor who treated Della was kind, compassionate, and more importantly, honest with us. He said the outlook for her was not good and that we could hospitalize her, but there were no guarantees. What is wrong with this guy? A few months ago DR. RENE…read moreRUBIO,DVM with CROSSWAY VETERINARY HOUSECALLS, made a house call for a sedated nail trim and some annual care for my dog. Unbeknownst to me, instead of a nail "trim", he quicked my dogs nails. This is a brutal procedure and most vets will not do it. Before this happened, I had never heard of quicking. If he had told me what he was going to do, I would have never allowed it. When my dogs nails started growing in, one of them is split into 3 sections and looks like a peeled banana. It's red and swollen and all the fur is gone. For the last couple of weeks she can't even walk. Because her toe has gotten progressively worse, we called Dr. Rubio to schedule an appointment, so this could get taken care of and to my surprise, he said he won't treat my dog and to take her somewhere else. He said she would need surgery, but he himself does surgery! Why won't he treat my dog???? Her toe was fine before he did this procedure and now he won't even see her and try to help her! It's not like I asked for free services or even a discount. I just want my dog to be herself again, so I don't care how much it costs! ( and trust me, this guy is expensive!) I will be filing a complaint with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners this afternoon. I'm also going to contact an attorney. Vets have a standard of care to follow too. In my 58 years and countless pets, this is absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a veterinarian. This buisness' moto is, "We treat your pets like family". Well, sir, if that's true, I feel very sorry for your relatives. BE VERY CAUTIOUS IF YOU LET THIS GUY TREAT YOUR PET!

I had no idea where to go since I'm not from here but I found Fuzzy Tails on Yelp. I reached out via Yelp and Andrea quickly gave a response telling me to text them at their number. I did and I was able to book an appointment for a week later via text. They did ask me to provide vaccination proof as well as a $35 deposit, all of which weren't unexpected. Upon arrival, everyone was friendly. They took my pup in without a hassle. They were very quick, about 90 minutes. I've actually never been to a groomer that got my pup done in under 2 hours so I was a bit concerned that it may not be well detailed. However once I picked him up, I was super happy with everything. He looked super cute and Fuzzy Tails gave exactly what I asked for! Overall, I 110% recommended this place for dog grooming. Again since I'm out of town, I likely won't be coming back anytime soon. But if I did live in Houston, I definitely wouldn't go anywhere else!!!
