I primarily used this location for when I needed rabbit supplies and did not want to wait for things to be shipped to my house. The staff has always been very nice and friendly. I agree with the other reviewer (Kim) regarding the pet selection. I really did not think they sold pets on several occasions since many times there were none. I always shop here for my cats. After a few visits I came to realize that pretty much all the food they sell is actually fairly to very healthy, so it's not the cheapest stuff, but you get what you pay for. They also have stuff on sale every week, and you can sign up for coupons as well. Service is always very friendly and helpful. And they also help find cats their forever home, as they usually have 2-3 cats just chilling at the store waiting to be taken home. read more

Highly recommend Pet Supermarket over Petco I needed to buy an XL Dog Crate, stopped by Petco first. Noticed their Essential Adult Dog Food Big Bag $65 vs. $54 at Pet Supermarket than proceeded to check-out Crate price of $189.00 Well I went to Pet Supermarket to buy same crate for $139.00. Service & product variety is much better at Pet Supermarket. Told all this to the manager who was appreciative of my kind words and gave me a 10% discount. I waited over 15 minutes for assistance with fish. One male associate at the front playing on the computer and no other associates around. As I was walking away someone finally comes out and asked if I needed help. I informed them I had been there over 15 minutes waiting for assistance so I will take my business else where As I was leaving the male associate still on the computer says ( not even looking up from the computer) have a nice day. I recently went to the one in Atlantic. They're both the same company and both have super nice people working there. I also go to the one on Granada. They're both excellent places to go to for your pet. They have always helped me pick my dog's food when I needed help, they even carry it out to your car. read more

The staff gets 5 stars, the variety of live pets is a 3. I go for pet food and accessories; they have a nice selection of these. If you are going to purchase a pet you might find your options limited, but for all the stuff you will need for your pets it's pretty stocked. read more

My son is turning six and he had been begging me for a Hamster for weeks.. We went to PET-SMART and the lady there was telling me not to get one because they bite and they aren't friendly.. It seemed as if she didn't want to sell me a hamster because it was for a child...After that we went to PETCO... there was a lady there who didn't seem very willing to help us find a hamster... She had terrible customer service and wouldn't even let us hold the hamster.. We asked her to show us them and she said NO they are mean and they bite.. she wouldn't even pick one up to show us...As my son is in tears because every employee literally scared him with stories about hamsters being so vicious ...We then called THE PET SUPERMARKET and an employee named Dylan answered .. I asked him if they sold hamsters and he said yes... He gave me directions to get there and we headed that way... When we arrived a very friendly and happy employee CASEY-ANN greeted us in the store.. I told her Dylan sent us and I would like to speak to him... He was busy helping another customer at the moment and she said he'd be right up... In the meantime she asked us if there was anything she could do to help us find what we were looking for... Immediately I explained my situation and that we had been looking for a hamster alllllllll dayyyyy long.... She was so happy to help us... we then were able to choose from two hamsters and they were both so cute and friendly that we could barely decide on which one to choose.. Dylan then came up and was also very professional and had great customer service.. They both made us feel welcomed and Important...They didn't rush us out of the store like the last two stores did.. Casey helped us find a checklist of the things we needed for our new pet... Finally when we were done they helped us build the cage and get the hamster settled for the ride.. Another employee Ross was there to help us with getting the hamster together and helped us with out with our purchase... These three employees at the Ormond Beach PET SUPERMARKET went over and above the regular customer service that I'm used to... They should all be recognized for their outstanding customer service.. friendly faces and smiles...and just 100% loyal employees!!!
