I'm still getting used to being owned by a cat so there are lots of responsibilities and skills that I must adapt too. I pulled in here after stopping in a few other stores - this is a beautiful store and super clean with lots of inventory, unfortunately the selection for the item I was looking for was poor so I ended up finding what I was looking for on Amazon after talking to a very friendly member of the staff here. What was also evident here is this is a dog owners dream retailer, while walking around this gigantic space there were dogs being trained in the center of the store, and dogs on leashes down ever aisle ruff ruff ruff is definitely the language spoken here... read more

Assistant manager was super super rude to me when I wanted to adopt a cat. I got looked down upon because of my age and after proving I am old enough and more than capable of caring for the kitten the assistant manager told me I MUST pay in cash which was no problem since my bank was right outside the parking lot. When I expressed this all of a sudden the age limit changed and I was not able to adopt the kitten.... After explaining that I already have adopted a cat before I was told that that was their policy and was very rudely told that I need to be older. This treatment has happened with this specific assistant manager for months and I will no longer be giving them my weekly business. I'm so disappointed with how this store is ran and even more frustrated that they give terrible people such high positions. read more

Yesterday I received a phone call saying it was no groomers available to service Zaina that afternoon. Also that they were sorry for the inconvenience and it will be half off the next visit.I rescheduled for this morning I did unfortunately show up late...traffic. When I came back to get her they was saying it's not half off it's now 15%..off ok fine.Miscommunication on there part. Had the most disappointing experience here Monday night. My daughter was super excited to go get a pet fish and we originally were going to get a fancier tank with a filter and when we went to cash out the cashier talked us out of buying it telling us the purchase wasn't worth it. We decided to just get a basic temporary tank given our daughter really wanted him today, and we would purchase a better tank elsewhere tomorrow. When we returned with the basic tank, the cashier was beyond rude and gave us a mean snarky look and hesitated to cash us out saying we were making "a bold choice". Usually the employees here are helpful but this one was just extremely rude during the whole experience. read more

Let me preface this by saying usually things go fairly well here and our normal groomers are amazing as to why I gave this any stars at all... who ever botched the trim of my dogs today though just made me never want to come back. Who ever gave the dogs these $5 dollar Walmart quick cuts to the pups need to just quit, this is not the profession for you... they were explicitly told we don't cut them low and not only did they cut them low but the just basically took trimmers to random areas it's not even remotely even... hopefully it grows back out properly, but either way the ppl that were there today won't touch any of our pets again... read more

Brought my two 8 year old Italian Greyhounds on 4/16/20 for a 1:30pm appointment. When I walked in there was already a long line of 4 other owners deep for a 1:30 appointment. So I had to basically stand in the entryway. Not the best location during a pandemic where you need to be 6 ft apart and every doofus walking into wants to see your dogs. I couldn't stand elsewhere cuz the lines for the checkout were long for distancing too. I had to wait about 10 min and then a nice girl came over to check me in. She checked the Rabies paperwork, I initialed, signed, and they were ready to role. My dogs do not like collars or leashes around their neck cuz they have only worn harnesses so the girl was kind enough to pick them up and take them back. I forewarned her that my male dog will probably scream like bloody murder the whole time cuz he's a big baby and that I apologized ahead of time. I felt so incredibly sad leaving them because I'm so attached to them and I felt bad they were scared but the girl assisting was super kind to me and them. SERVICES: $18.99 + $10 extra for nail grinding - Anal Gland expression - Bathed - Towel Dried (blow dryer is too scary for them) - Nails grinder down, not trimmed - Ears cleaned --------------------- $56 + Tax = Total for 2 Dogs PROS: - price is reasonable considering everything you are getting. 1/2 the price of a vet visit for this - staff was super nice - girl in grooming office was super nice CONS: - the way you have to wait in line going across the front entrance wasn't the best. Probably should have it up agains the wall or something. - Piss on the floor. My dogs kept trying to get over to piss on the floor that was sitting there for a while and it was a struggle cuz my dog was slipping and sliding on the floor to get to it. Great group of people. The manager is fantastic. Her people (workers) are very professional and knowledgeable. Always greeted upon arrival. Always asked if I need assistance. Check up on you while your or should I say to see if you require further assistance. The groomers are terrific! No issues!! Prices are very competitive to other pet stores in town or in the Volusia County area. I have also adopted a couple of cats from here when they were kittens. One of which justed turned 5 and the 2nd kitty just turned 1 years old. I can't say enough good things about this pet store. We really enjoy coming over from OB to shop. Were also part of their rewards program which is a big savings for us. We have 6 cats that are indoor and a family of five feral cats we care for. Thank you. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We had a HORRIBLE experience with their grooming salon. We had brought our dog here for grooming 3 times prior to our last visit. Everytime we requested a shave and a bath for our goldendoodle. This past visit when we went to pick up our dog the charges were $70 more than every other appointment but yet our dog looked exactly the same. They cited our dog's behavior and the need to spend an extra hour and 15 minutes grooming him (although they never called while he was there to say they were experiencing issues - except at the end to say his grooming was complete). We dropped him off for an 8am appt and he was done before noon, this was the same amount of time he had gone for prior services. When we didn't want to take their word on the "extra time" they spent, and incur the $70 in additional charges they said it was either pay it or never bring him back. The manager herself was extremely unprofessional, I called to speak with a manager without identifying myself and she immediately got on the phone and said "is this XXX owner", like she knew to be expecting my call. This is a service industry and I have a real problem with establishments that lack customer service. Will never bring my dog to any petsmart for grooming nor buy supplies there after the way we were treated. read more

Now because of financial reasons and scheduling issues, I decided to go back and to Petsmart again. Max's groomer Taylor has been wonderful and the price is right on Senior Tuesday $32.00 for full groom. Totally satisfied and he looks amazing. read more

I had an awesome experience and recommendation from an employee there!! I go to the Banfield attached to PetSmart and forgot to ask my vet about food recommendations. After my appointment, I went perusing the isles of a million types of dog food and out from the depths of that huge store a kind and knowledgeable employee spotted me, probably looking a touch overwhelmed! He spent quality time with me talking about the different types of foods available for my dog and the protein and fat content within them! After a few suggestions I went with his last recommendation, BilJac. Now let me say I have tried a lot of different brands with my dog child: Orijen, Crave, Blue Wilderness, Nulo, Stella and Chewy's raw food and changing food is never fun. The employee whose name tag read Brea said I wouldn't have to transition like other dog foods brands and that in a taste test dogs usually pick BilJac over the food they have been eating. Admittedly, I was skeptical but hopeful. The purchase price was around $17 for 6 lbs and off I went! I am happy to report everything came out just like the gentlemen at the store reported! My dog chose BilJac in a taste test I did at home and without transitioning my dog has had happy and clean digestion! It's been. I go here for everything I need for my fish. I alway do the curbside pick up and haven't had any issues till today. I ordered 2 small aquarium items totaling to $5 but that is beyond the point. I pulled up called the number for them to bring it out and the woman *Tammy* who answers the phone already sounds unpleasant but i still was very kind and said i'm just calling to say i'm here for my pick up order and she says rudely well where are you and i said right in front of the curbside sign so she said she would bring it out. She comes out throws the bag in my car and starts walking away then stops and says can i see your ID and i looked in my car noticing i had left my purse at home. Keep in mind i never once have gotten asked for my ID i know they ask for it on the website but my first time going they never asked so truly i didn't think it was that big of a deal. Me still being kind i said well i don't have my ID on me and she says well i can't give this to you without an id so i politely hand the bag to her and said i'll have my roommate facetime me and show you my ID in my purse at home. Well she takes the bag back then throws it back in the car at me and says ill just wait to see the id and i'll go grab the carts while i wait and starts shaking her head while she's collecting the carts. Me in disbelief i get my friend on facetime to ask for my ID and Tammy comes back over and sees my ID and began saying okay but she didn't know who i was so she couldn't just hand me the bag.. as i have the order details and email confirmations and my ID through the phone less than 2 minutes. I'm sorry but if i'm going to drive to pets smart to steal something from someone it won't be a fish plant and a small treasure chest decor totaling to $5. I understand that is the policy 100% i work retail i understand but the fact how NASTY she was towards me and the way she threw the bag at me TWICE left me jaw dropped even when i offered to literally drive home and just grab it. I have heard some horror stories about getting my dog groomed here. I just moved to the area and my old groomer is too far away and my little old lady needed a haircut like yesterday. So I brought her in. The groomer was a younger girl but as sweet as she could be and took very good care of my 14 year old. Much to my suprise, they did a better job than my old groomer who I paid $60. I ended up paying $64 here but I ordered extra services. I'll Definately be back!! read more

I need to update my previous review and apologize to Dawn. I just learned yesterday that she was right about Pebbles' health. She told me that my dog had a heart problem, not a breathing problem and needed to see a veterinarian. I was extremely offended because my pet had just been to the vet a couple of months earlier and was diagnosed with a collapsing trachea. No heart problem detected. My dog was examined twice since then, by the same vet who put her on a treatment that was not recommended for pets with heart problems. I got a second opinion. This vet immediately detected a heart murmur and ordered x-rays which confirmed her heart is enlarged. I thank God that He pointed me to a new vet. When I wrote this review I believed my pet was in good health, and I couldn't understand why they thought I was neglecting my dogs health. I understand now they were trying to help me. I can see that my feeling offended escalated the responses. Thank you. read more

Ordered a reptile decor item online that arrived in pieces. Was not protected in box at all...Called customer service right away and was on hold forever...hung up and called back. Got a lovely lady who helped me and got my exchange done. Received email right away that I'd get shipping notification when shipped. A week later no email so called again and was told that item is back ordered and would be shipped when it comes in. No clue how long that would be. Then after some discussion he tells me that they cancel back orders after a week. Then he realizes it's been a week... I opt to just cancel the order. Says it will take 6 or so business days to process. I call the local petsmart that is a half hour away to see if they have one and phone answering service tells me that they are unable to check stock for items. Really frustrating that someone can't answer the phone and go look in an aisle to see if they have an item in stock. I scheduled a 1:30pm appointment for my 15 week old Labrador retriever to get the puppy trim package (bath,nail trim,ear cleaning, anal glad cleaning) when I dropped him off he was as happy as can be loving everyone, I then saw them take my puppy straight back to a kennel with only one other dog being groomed at the time I was then told it would be an hour to an hour and a half so my boyfriend and I shopped around and went next door for some lunch...Twenty minutes later they called and said he was very nervous and that he was done. When I arrived she said he was extremely nervous & didn't like water however I have given him multiple baths, he plays in sprinklers and the pool daily. I than looked in his ears and they looked just like they did when I dropped him off, his nails weren't even touched and his teeth were bleeding due to them brushing his teeth. Staff was rude and acted like they have never had a puppy in there before. Paying 4 employees to sit around. Great job petsmart. read more

I Went to buy fish for my aquarium. The attendant there did not acknowledge us, rather engage in a conversation with a friend and more interested in getting her Burger King order. We asked if she would assist us and said what do u want rather rudely. I wanted fish that had just came in and were being acclimated by floating in the water. It's done so that the fish won't be stressed out,she said. I wanted all the fish in that bag. She told me that the fish were being acclimated. You can't sell me the whole bag,I said. No she said, it is in a corporate bag. Can't you just pour the fish into a sellable bag?, I said. She then slapped some water, from another aquarium, then dumped the fish into the tank that they were floating in the "corporate " bag, then proceeded to fish them out,chasing them around the tank! And threw them into the bag that had completely different water!! Please tell me what is wrong with people. She obviously had no idea how to handle the poor creatures. But, it has been 2 days now and they are still alive,but I will not go back as long as they hire people like that. read more

This occurred at the location on International Speedway. No one offered to help while I was picking out supplies for my recently acquired 4 year old teacup poodle. His hair was very outgrown as he had been neglected so I took him to the grooming department. The girls were very sweet but failed to inform me that dogs were groomed in "batches" and he wouldn't be ready for 3-4 hours. I was not informed that if I paid extra he would be done all at once until I picked him up. I had specifically requested a Miami Bikini Cut which should have been simple as his hair was overgrown. I even brought a picture of it which they said they did not need. When I finally got him back the cut was completely wrong. The poms and ears were not rounded. The ears were cut short. They had not even puffed his poms out and the shape was completely incorrect. His tail was almost totally shaved! Now getting a proper cut will be months ahead as his hair has to grow so much. His eyes were still matted and stained. I will never go back there again for anything. read more
