We are very cautious about where we leave our furry kids. We love the setup, indoor/outdoor runs. The private runs with the concrete walls separating the dogs are great, open at the top but closed off from other dogs that could make them want to bark. It had been a while for us to use this place because we had an individual who took Riley into her home who was unable to care for him for this trip most recent trip. I have several complaints the first being that he was not given his Benebone. Riley loves chewing on a Benebone which is safe and beneficial because one can't chew off any pieces and it keeps the teeth clean. The front desk indicated that my dog shreds toys, but I explained this was not similar and yet it wasn't given to him the whole entire nine days he was there. The camera for the center yard where he was to play never worked until last three days, never observed my dog and then saw just single dogs with an employee who was not the least bit engaged with any dog. In addition, my dog was clearly dehydrated when I came to pick him up. When we picked him up, he was panting and drank all of my bottled water in the car. He was obviously dehydrated. Not happy. P.S. Now few hours later noticed he has left eye infection! Really not happy. read more

I have decided to take my business elsewhere after using this facility for one year. This has nothing to do with the quality of care - but primarily because I believe that Pet Paradise as a corporation is more revenue driven than value focused. While my dog stayed at the Palm Coast location, I am sure that this applies to their network of locations. With already high pricing, I was disappointed to see an even higher price during the summer months after already spending thousands on boarding during the winter. After all this, they offered me to train my dog for nearly $3000. I have paid $1000 in the past for the same service. This was the moment I decided that enough is enough with their premium pricing. They sometimes require deposits or have cancellation policies or minimum stays. Other places do not. And it's a lot of work that should not be. They require food brought to the facility to be bagged per day. This is very frustrating. This makes more work for the customer and can be tiresome to put together, especially for longer stays. I've never had to do this elsewhere. At other pet hotels I would just bring a full bag of dry food and tell the staff to scoop up two cups a day. At this high price point Pet Paradise should be doing this for their customers rather than giving us homework. I They need to resign the corporate feeling. Each time I drop off my pet I get asked the same questions as if I'm a brand new customer. I feel like I'm being interviewed each time. It just doesn't feel warm. They ask for exact drop off or pick up times. This just makes our daily schedules more complex when we have to be at Pet Paradise at a certain time. Human hotels don't ask for this information. For the premium price we pay we should be allowed to pick up or drop off when we can. I've never had to specify a time at any other pet hotel in the past. Again, while I had no issues with the care of my dog, I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling, I spent too much money and felt like I was assigned too much work to do while paying a premium. read more

Our dogs, Scooby and Rocket loved Pet Paradise. It was their first time being boarded, so we were concerned. Scooby is a senior 16 year old, we weren't sure how well he would be. Both dogs seemed to enjoy Pet Paradise. They were calm and happy when we picked them up. All the folks who work there are friendly and enjoy their job. I called every day to check on my dog and was told she would not come out of her room or really eat anything- which I expected because this was her first time being boarded. But I was still charged an extra $20 a day for one-on-one that was not provided. AND I was charged an extra $20 on top of the regular charge for an afternoon pick up. $236 for 3 days is a lot! Took my Angel there for the weekend. When I went to pick her up, she was limping so badly, she could hardly walk. When I asked what happened, they said they didn't know she was limping until I was walking her out the door and didn't have a clue what had happened. I had to take her to the emergency vet, who stated it was probably a soft tissue injury and said to wait a couple of days for x-rays. Prescribed anti-inflammatory and to limit activity. Pet Paradise stated it wasn't their problem. After many phone calls, they finally agreed to reimburse for vet charges but not to refund for the weekend. I w. They didn't even know my Angel had been injured on their watch. When we picked her up she smelled so badly that we had to immediately give her a bath, would never take any pet to this facility read more

We were in the area looked at reviews thought this would be a good place to leave our dogs. One of our dogs get extremely car sick so I left detailed instructions and the importance of when medication should be given. When we arrived next morning they give me her medication that they failed to give because they didn't write down in detail of what I had told them,but we did get "I'm sorry from the manger and the offer of some towels for our 10 hour trip home if she threw up." read more

We love bringing Riptide here and frankly, he hates leaving! The staff is wonderful! They are always so accommodating, especially if you need to check-in prior to 9 am on weekends. OMG!! This place is awesome!! I will never leave my Armani anywhere else. The staff is wonderful and are true dog lovers. I was a little bit hesitant at first to leave my dog with any boarder due to pitbull profiling, but the staff was just so great with him and i wouldn't hesitate to leave him there again on my next vacation. I am planning to use their doggy day care services just as a day of pampering for Armani just because he loves it there so much. I've taken my dog Buster there several times. He is always excited to go and is a happy dog when he leaves. We've gotten in the habit of calling it the "puppy place". As soon as he hears that, he rushing for the door waiting for us to take him. When he gets within 2-3 miles of the place, he starts whining, because we can't get there fast enough. The latest trip, as soon as I parked my truck, he jumped out of the back seat and into the front, dove under my legs and was waiting for me to open the door to let him out. My only complaint is the nickel and dimeing for "extra services", although this chain is much better than some of the others I've used. read more

We have had our dog here twice now one over night and once for three days, each time the place was pleasant and clean, our dog seemed to enjoy herself and was happy. No place like home and I'm sure she was glad to come home but the staff seems to care about the pets and the play area seems very nice. No complaints, here, the only thing I wish was the after noon pick up was graduated or maybe set up a way to work that in if you know you are going to pick up after noon. A great place to board your pet! From their convenient locations to friendly staff and affordable pricing this doggie resort is at the top in so many categories! The staff truly knows and cares about your pet and my puppy can't get enough of it. Add in amenities like a doggie pool that allows my pup to indulge his love of the water and I can't think of a better place to take him. He literally starts "losing it" with excitement as he starts to recognize the area when we get close. After moving away from my local Pet Paradise location I now drive over an hour to ensure he gets to visit the people who care about him whenever I have to go out of town. Over the last year this location has also gone through several updates, including new play areas and plans on adding more amenities. They keep you updated with your pet via a personalized emails and photos as well as videos and photos via social media. There is never any doubt about my pets safety at Pet Paradise and I know he loves it. read more

I borded my small Schnauzer at Pet Paradise for a week. When I picked up the dog, I noticed that he seemed very timid, which is unusual for a terrier. When we had a chance to look closer at Willie, we found that he had dried crap on his rear, from sitting in his own waste. He was also just plain dirty. At home, he went immediately to his water bowl, and drank half of the water. So, who cleaned his cage, and refilled the water bowl. During his supposedly daily romp's, who noticed the condition of his rump, and who provided water. This was abuse in it's plainest form. They should be closed, and never opened again. Ellie our Boston Terrier visited yesterday, she loved all the attention and care given to her by such an attentive staff. The staff is wonderful (not just one or two, too many to count) for their supervision. Ellie has been to a couple of Pet Paradise locations, this one might be their best (all good). I have a 1 year old German Shepherd who is friendly and just wants to play all the time. I left him for the first time for 1 overnight. I have to say that I was nervous leaving him but just booked him for 8 nights. The location is good and they have someone onsite 24 hours which made me feel better. I put his food into separate baggies for AM/PM. My dog doesn't have a set schedule to eat so whenever they fed him was fine. I left enough treats as well. The morning that I brought him in was 6:30AM and they seemed to be well prepared with staff. Once I picked him up, he was happy with a wagging tail to greet me as he should have been. I have been taking my chocolate lab, Mocha, to this Pet Paradise since I moved to the area two years ago. She LOVES it there. I have taken her at least once a week since we were recommended to this place and I have boarded her overnight there many times. She comes home happy and exhausted from playing all day. They have a pool for the water loving dogs, in which Mocha loves, and a kiddie pool for those who only like to get their feet wet. She gets plenty of attention and they post plenty of pictures of her and others on their Facebook page so you can see just how much fun your furbaby is having. They also provide "report cards" for their day camp attendees and a stay report for the overnights. Everyone there is so loving and treats Mocha like one of their own. I have never been nervous about leaving her there as I know she is in very loving and capable hands. The minute we walk into the front office she doesn't even look back at her mom - she just wants to go play with her buds! I wouldn't take her anywhere else! read more
