I took my dog there yesterday because of a Medical Emergency that he had over the weekend. I told them that he was a Rescue and VERY Skiddish over vet's as Most Dog's are. My dog didn't want to be examined and needed to be sedated. He had been sedated before at Banfield so I was told they needed to contact Banfield regarding what dosage to give him. They are Vet's why DIDN'T they know what dose to give him!? First Red Flag. The Vet came into the room with a Mask on this was troubling to our dog and to me and my husband as well. Second Red Flag. I told the girl at the desk when I checked in that I had a coupon for the first time check up free. We were told to go out into the waiting room as they had requested his records from Banfield. We took our Dog outside to potty and shortly after the girl came out and told us to leave and they would call us back with the treatment plan. Third Red Flag. We went home and didn't here back. Today is Tuesday and it's 1:00pm and we have still heard nothing. Apparently if you come in with a Coupon for a free new patient check up your pet WILL NOT be a Priority and they Will show you to the door. Just AWFUL! Great experience. My dog did not have a primary vet because we did the puppy plan at Banfield (which was not worth it) & we canceled it. She ended up getting an injury on her paw & they were able to squeeze her in same day. They were very transparent & the pricing was the best I've seen in the area! read more

They made me feel comfortable which is very hard for me. The vet tech explained every fee and did everything to stay in the budget I had set for my dog. That impressed me and made me feel like I was in good hands that understood yes I'm on a fixed income but I need to do everything my Bonnie Fae needs done even if it is in increments. Sara, who normally is working the front desk is extremely helpful with scheduling and payment. They also offer a military discount which other vets in the area do not. We're new to the area & had an emergency with our Shepard Mix dog. Neighbors recommended Newman Vet. The vet explained everything, after doing labs & x-rays, but we were told he needed transfusions & surgery which they were unable to do. He hadn't been sick & was running & playing the night before but on this day wasn't able to stand. The vet said he had a tumor with internal bleeding & would "go down fast." We could tell that he was quickly becoming unresponsive & since the prognosis was so poor & we didn't believe he'd make it to an emergency vet clinic chose to let him cross the Rainbow Bridge. The vet & tech were compassionate with us as we were so upset & crying etc. This happened so fast. Our only complaints were that they weren't able to do the transfusions or surgery that was needed quickly. We're looking for a full service vet for our animals as we believe had they been able to follow through with their diagnosis we might not have lost out beautiful & loved family member. read more

Our Boston Terrier has had a couple of issues in the past 6 months. The first problem was a lump and we went to another vet who immediately wanted to do surgery so we opted for a second opinion. We went to Newmans and they did a bunch of tests and it was determined he didn't need surgery!! Then a couple of months later he was having some tummy problems...they worked with us to get a diet for him and now he is a healthy 10 y.o.! From the vet, vet tech to the office staff, they are all attentive and called us numerous times to see how he was doing. Highly recommend them...they really care about animals and not how much money they can make! read more

We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming from the moment we came in. The tech(s) & the Vet. were both compassionate to our dog and us. They took time to explain the treatment plan, and the various options available as well as the associated fee schedule. While our 116 lb. lapdog has figured out that it's not the doggy spa, she is comfortable with the facility and staff. They also helped us add to our family with a new kitten. While the nurse and the receptionist were very nice, and seemed to be very caring. I Took my dog in because he hadn't urinated in 24 hours. The Dr. came in, examined him, never really went over anything with me. The nurse came back in & said he was in critical condition & needed $2000 in surgery & treatments. I told her I didn't have that much money, and asked if we can do anything to get the cost down, they didn't even try to help, basically let me walk out the door without EVER TREATING A VERY SICK DOG. Not even an antibiotic. She also gave me a cost sheet to have him euthanized. I came home called another vet and took him to them. Their cost was about 1/3 of the $2000. But, he was already too far gone. He died. I am so heartbroken. I would NEVER take another one of my animals to them. Their motto is we love 'em like our own. I sure hope they treat their own better than they did mine. I miss my Dukie every day I have also requested to be REMOVED from their mailing list on MULTIPLE occasions, and they emailed me this weekend, AGAIN !! I took my dog in for a toenail trim yesterday. She hates this process and is extremely uncooperative to say the least. I was really impressed at the patience of the techs, both Theresa who held her, and Mary who trimmed the nails. It was a really good trim, the best in memory, as close as possible without cutting into the quick. read more
