I had visited another area vet last year based upon recommendations of persons I trusted but was just not happy at all with the experience and definitely did not want to return. I saw that Dr Schroyer had ONLY 5-star reviews and his office, while not in our immediate area, was fairly conveniently located to us. When I called I immediately had a pleasant experience with the person answering the phone. She was able to fit us in the next day. When we arrived at the office, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We found Dr Schroyer to be calm, confident, knowledgeable and personable. He listened to and was willing to answer all of our questions without being condescending and even looked at our other dog so he would have a familiarity with her and a record if we returned. We left the office feeling very comfortable about our dog's issue and certain that not only would we return, but that this would become our primary veterinarian's office. So..... yet another 5 star review!!

I literally redownloaded Yelp just so I could leave this review, which probably says everything…read moreabout how highly I think of Dr. Nick and his team. Finding a vet you fully trust with your pets is such a big deal, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found them. I first met Dr. Nick years ago when I helped bring my Grandmother-in-Law's cat in. Later, when my own cat injured her leg and needed to be seen quickly, his office was the one that made room for her. They were kind, fair, and compassionate from the very beginning, and that experience is what made me want to continue bringing my cats there. Over the years, what has impressed me most is how personal the care feels. This is not a place where you feel like just another name on the schedule. The team remembers my cats, remembers things we talked about months before, and genuinely follows up on how everyone is doing. When I was having trouble getting my kittens acclimated, they even sent me helpful articles afterward because they knew I was struggling with it. They have also shown me so much kindness during difficult moments. When I unexpectedly lost my cat to lymphoma, they reached out and grieved with me. That is something I will always remember. Dr. Nick is wonderful, but so is every single person on his team. There is a level of warmth and care there that is hard to find, and I trust them completely with my cats. At this point, I honestly cannot imagine taking them anywhere else. They are truly that amazing!

We're first-time dog owners--this is our kids' very first pet--and if you're new to pet parenthood, you know how many questions come with that. From the beginning, the staff (including the doctor) has never made us feel silly, rushed, or uninformed. We've asked everything: grooming questions (are we missing knots? undercoat issues?), hygiene questions (yes... even anal gland questions), medication questions, and general "are we doing this right?" reassurance. Every time, they've taken the time to explain things clearly and kindly. We've had our Maltipoo, Oreo, for about four years now, and Bayshore has walked with us through: * Routine yearly checkups * Flea and heartworm prevention (Bravecto, ProHeart, etc.) * A period where Oreo was leaking urine and needed medication * Figuring out how to actually get meds into a very picky dog (she hates peanut butter and big treats--fun times) * Syringe meds when she was sick * Her spay surgery, including thoughtful conversations beforehand about timing, pros/cons, and what to expect after One moment that truly sealed it for me happened early on. Oreo became lethargic, then developed foamy diarrhea. As a new pet parent, I didn't know what qualified as "urgent," and I was second-guessing myself. I emailed the office over the weekend, assuming I wouldn't hear back until Monday. Instead, I received a reply early that weekend morning--from the doctor himself. He gave us clear guidance on what to do, what warning signs to watch for, and set us up for an appointment. That peace of mind was invaluable. They have two locations, and while one day a week is reserved for surgeries only, we've had smooth experiences at both locations when needed. If you're looking for a veterinary practice that treats your pet like a patient and treats you like a valued, capable (even if slightly nervous) pet parent, this is it. We've never felt dismissed, rushed, or like "just another appointment." I'm grateful every time we walk through their doors--and Oreo is too, judging by how much attention and love she gets from the staff.
