But I was pleasantly surprised with how great a place it really was once I got there. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, even though I was a little late for my appointment. I met Dr Bryson and I was immediately at ease. She listened to everything I had to say and answered all my questions; she didn't talk over me or cut me off and I immediately felt a good connection with her and how much she cares about animals. Surgery went great and she called me herself when it was done. She even clipped my bunny's nails free of charge! Just took my 10 week old pup there with a extremely high fever, face swelling, and very lethargic. No treatment was given to lower his fever or help him in anyway. Was only told it could be cancer and referred to a specialist in Maitland whenever I can get an appointment and spent a $650 vet bill for nothing. I went to a different Vet in Port Orange for a second opinion and they immediately started treatment, got his fever down, gave him fluid and he is now back home recovering from an infection with major improvement and NOT cancer. I understand not knowing what it is at first, but not treating a life threatening condition in such a small puppy is not acceptable and extremely concerning. I will no longer be bringing any of my pets here and will be highly encouraging others I know to go to a different vet as well.
