Our experience at Pet Street Veterinarian Care Center was Fabulous. This was the BEST evaluation ever given to my pet and he loved it. They spent a lot of time which included an exam, lab work, vaccinations, and meds for heart worm, fleas and ticks. The tech and doctor were very good. They also did a very good job of explaining my dogs condition and what is needed in ways that was easy to understand. I like the idea of boarding my pet their as well. I highly recommend Pet Street and will be a forever client. read more

Customer for over six years but in the last two years service has changed. Reception is always very good however I would only recommend them for the basics. The last procedure I had done there I was very disappointed in quality of work and attitude of Vet after the fact. I can't recommend them in dealing with any special breeds. read more

Seems to have changed over the last couple of years and basically runs by the numbers. Front staff always very friendly and professional. Unfortunately all services are being passed onto techs. Recently my fiance' brought her dog in for checkup and it all seemed very rushed. Two days later she was sick and brought to emergency care. As soon as the vet saw her she realized what the problem was and immediately started meds. The Dr asked when the dogs last visit was to a vet and she advised two days ago. I won't print the Doctor's response out of respect. read more

My older pup needed his teeth cleaned and several teeth removed. When I met Dr Schecter, I was confident he was in the best hands possible. She did a thorough analysis of his health and took every care to ensure the best possible outcome. He now feels even better than before. read more

Dr Beckner's poor diagnosis of an issue we had with our dog due to lack of a thorough and proper examination caused our dog additional days of unwarranted discomfort, not to mention the medications she prescribed unnecessarily at exorbitant cost. After we repeatedly asked her while in the office about whether or not she had examined our dog's mouth for an object or sting/bite that we thought she may have suffered she assured us that she had examined her mouth, but "would check again." She didn't, and two days later we found a 2.5" stick lodged in the top of her mouth that we carefully removed and which immediately provided relief to her from the scratching she had been doing to try to dislodge it, that Dr Beckner diagnosed as her having a "hot spot" pop up that day, before dismissing her and sending us home with anti-itch medication. Had she actually looked where we advised we thought the issue was rather than dismissing it, even though it wasn't a bee sting she would have seen the large stick lodged in her mouth and been able to medicate and treat our dog properly. Zero stars. :UPDATE: Tuesday following the holiday weekend when the clinic opened I returned to voice my displeasure with the diagnosis I was given the previous Friday. The front desk staff was apologetic and courteous and set me up an appointment for the head doctor, Dr Van Deijck to see her. During that appointment, he too was very apologetic and performed a thorough examination of our dog and provided antibiotics for her mouth. After a week, Dr Van Deijck saw her again for a follow-up to see how she has healed. Because of the front desk staff and his attentiveness and caring, I am changing the review from one star to three. Had this all taken place the first time we brought her in, the review would be much higher but I cannot ignore the initial misdiagnosis and mispercsribed medication given at the onset. Thank you Dr Van Deijck and the kind front desk staff for making this as right as it could have been made. read more

I was in a dire situation when I was in Florida.I have been to Pet Street one other time.I called because my Husband was in NJ at a trauma center and booked a flight to get home quickly.Airline had called and said my pet rabies had expired 2 days earlier.I called Pet Street and told them the situation.I waited at least 90 min.I understand emergencies.A person from the desk came over and said a Dr had just finished and could only give her the rabies.Perfect right?I checked out and they charged for a whole physical.Didn't happen!I just wanted to leave and paid the full fee.10 days later I got an email she was due for her physical.I would never go back to a vet that took full advantage only to get the money from someone totally vulnerable.Sad very sad No Pet Street for us or anybody I know! read more

Scheduled an appointment on their website. I received an email confirmation. When I arrived, they had no record of my appointment. At first they thought I had arrived on the wrong day, so I pulled up the email on my phone and showed them. One of the receptionists sighed and said that this has been happening lately... but they assured me they would get me in... After waiting for a full hour in an empty waiting room, I asked when I might actually get to see the vet. I was told the vet hadn't even started treating the patient who came in before me, so it would still be a while. They said if I wanted to, I could leave my dog there and come back later to pick her up. So, you know, I could spend even more time driving back to their office later... No thanks. I left, wasted all that time. I'll find a different vet. What a frustrating experience. read more

My furever family member had been a patient here for years. Unfortunately, my little guy had become ill, and needed treatment. When I called, I was told there was no way he could be seen today (Tuesday), but I could call back at 8am Wednesday, and see if there had been any cancellations. She further told me that all of the patients had already been confirmed for the next day, so chances of a cancellation were slim. My dog had been vomiting, and without food or water. For me to wait 3 days for treatment, per appointment offered to me, COULD HAVE been dangerous/deadly, considering he WAS DEHYDRATED! So, I phoned a new Vet, and they got us right in the next day. Furthermore, I always felt pressured to purchase my guy's preventative care there, even when I explained to the doc I was getting them for half the price from another retailer. I was also shocked when I had my 3 yr old guy's teeth cleaned, and it cost me over $700, no extractions!! Lastly, NEVER try to get a credit balance REFUNDED from them!! Over a year, and they still owe me $25. Not a huge amount, BUT STILL MY MONEY!!! read more

Why does it take so long to get medication ordered? It shouldn't take more than 12 hours, I am waiting now more than 24 hours and my dog is suffering, do they not care???? Picked up my medication today and they charged me more than what they said it would be and they wouldn't allow me to take half of the pills so I could afford the price, I would have to wait another 48 hours to have the Doctor ok getting half of them which was a financial issue not a medical issue. When your pup is hurting you just want them to get better. This is my pups vet and I called them second on a Labor Day weekend. I took My to the emergency vet, very expensive. ( I went into the wrong business) so they diagnosed him with bladder stones. He was extremely lethargic and seemed to have tummy pain. They did blood work it all came back good. The female vet said bladder and urethra stones. Waited for Tuesday to come around praying that my dog didn't die on me. I called Pat Street vet on Tuesday morning and was told that they weren't able to do anything with the stones as the emergency vet also said I have to take them to a specialist but they were honest and said don't bring them into here because we're just gonna charge you and then refer you so that's that's a good thing there's not a lot of businesses that are like that so far that I found. So I did take him to a specialist in Jacksonville and discovered that there were no stones per the specialist who does internal medicine and conchology and then we waited for the other results there was nothing going on with him she couldn't find anything and said of course you know he should get an MRI at a bazillion dollars. So I kind of waited it out and he got better and I think it may have been this balm I used on him I slathered on him. read more

I have been using Pet Street Veterinarian Care Center for a year now. I have a non-profit and help owners with their medical needs and bills for their pets when they lack the funds. Of all the animals that I've had treated there, and there are A LOT, I've never had any issues with the treatment, follow-up, appointments or meds. If I had questions, I always got answers. If meds were needed, they were filled. If a surgery or appointment was needed, it was promptly set. In fact, I have my own dog taken care of at Pet Street because I trust them. Aside from one person that I referred to the office, not one person in a year of setting appointments or treatment here was ever dissatisfied. What I would suggest always is if you have a problem with any vet office, before you go bashing them on google, ask for an office manager to address the issue first or speak directly to the doctor about your encounter or issue. This is the most amazing veterinary practice ever. I normally see Dr. van Deijck and have for several years back to when he was located on Granada. I had a senior Schnauzer with a tumor that was removed successfully and added years and comfort to his life. I now have a very senior (12) Labrador Retriever with lower back issues. His pain and mobility are being very well managed. I would recommend this practice to anyone who needs a vet. All the vets, techs and office staff are professional and courteous. They each take the time necessary to answer any and all questions and follow up every visit with a wellness call. read more

This veterinary clinic receives 3 stars. Their techs/office staff receive 5 stars. We were very impressed with this clinic at first. It's really a shame what happens to these corporate owned clinics. Understaffing is a huge problem. The doctors are unable to truly be invested in your pet because of the workload they are put under. They are running from one room to another all day. Trying to get a call back from the doctor concerning your pet is almost impossible. After our first year of taking our two pets here, we truly felt like a number not a patient. With the cost (very expensive) of treatment you pay at this clinic you should expect more. Although we will be changing our services to a local family operated clinic, we do wish Petstreet the best. Maybe they will figure it all out. read more

Pet Street has been our veterinary center of choice since we moved to Florida four years ago. We and our felines could not be happier, and we are grateful for the complete and thorough, loving care Dr Willem-Jan van Deijck and his staff offer to their patients. Dr van Deijck ensured that we understood everything, and we always felt he had time for any and every question. My old vet retired, and I wasn't happy with the company that took over his practice. After hearing so many good things about Pet Street through ARNI, I decided to give them a try. My dog has NEVER received as thorough of an examination as Dr. Garcia gave him! He has skin issues due to allergies, so Dr. Garcia recommended an allergist to make sure it isn't something more serious. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I feel as though they genuinely care for the health of my pet...that's because they do! I highly recommend Pet Street, and am glad I chose them to keep my pets healthy. read more

We found Pet Street by accident when our 7lb Silky Terrier was mauled by our neighbor's pit bull. Badly bleeding from a neck wound and brought back to life from simple cpr from my husband, we handed our fur baby over to a vet we did not know. We are new to the area, but Dr van Deijck was our angel! Professionalism plus, compassion and concern from the entire staff, it is obvious their love for animals. The staff at Pet Street are just incredibly compassionate. I have on calm dog and one very nervous, likely to nip when stressed. For my stressy dog dog visit they got us right into a room. Thank you to Dr Van Dyke (sorry if I misspelled) for his help with her and recommending female drs and attendants. So we see Dr Schecter. Sophie is still really nervous. I'm sure it's the smells and hormones just in the facility. But the most amazing thing is how she responded to Carson. He may have not realized it but she was more relaxed during this visit than any other. Thank you Carson, Dr Schecter and everyone at Pet Street!! read more

I have been going to this vet for 5 years and the office staff has gone down hill. I was told to pick up my cat from surgery at 5pm. I arrived at 5:04pm and called and let them know I was here to pick up my cat, since you are not allowed inside. The woman who answered the phone said that she would let them know I was here, well an hour and 15 mins go by before someone calls me to tell me that my cat is ready for pick up! I was already there at the time I was supposed to be and the woman just did not tell them I was there to pick up my cat! Once my cat was brought to me they did not have all of the medication I payed for in the bag to go home with which made me have to wait 20 mins more to just get one medication that should have already been in the bag. If this problem doesn't get fixed with the lack of attentiveness with the staff they are going to lose a customer who brings all four of her pets there. The doctors there are amazing and are so nice with the pets and customers it just seems the staff up front could care less. read more

I would not recommend Pet Street Veterinary unless you want to spend loads of money and get no results or unless you want to lose your pet. My dog should have been sent to the hospital on the first day but instead was told to go home and if he gets worse, what did that mean, to bring him to hospital. Brought him back to Pet Street the next morning to be told that he had a 50/50 chance of survival and to get him on liquids and antibiotics which they did for an exorbitant amount of money. Did not offer any food or water to the dog while he stayed. When I went to pick him up they tried to pressure me into more tests which he did not need. Fortunately I did not take their advice. I was told then that he needed then to go to hospital to receive more intravenous liquids and antibiotics. I expected to pay the same or more since this was going to be an overnight stay for my dog. However the price was less than a 1/3 of what I payed at Pet Street. While at the hospital he not only received the care but was introduced to the food and water he needed to get back on the road to recovery. read more

We have always had dogs and Pet Street is by far the absolute best Veterinary Clinic ever. Three years ago our Yorkiepoo Misty had a pancreatitis attack and we were referred to Dr Luke Williams at Pet Street. His excellent care and compassion provided us 3 more years with her. She was 15 years old when she developed bladder cancer. Because of her age we opted for comfort care. When it was time to euthanize her on 9/18/19, Pet Street allowed us to come right in without appt. Dr Williams allowed us as much time as we needed with her to say goodbye in a special quiet room. Every step of the process was handled with such dignity and compassion for her and us. She just went to sleep peacefully while we were holding her close to us. We will always have a dog and Pet Street is the only Clinic we will ever use. read more

Having recently moved to Florida & leaving a veterinary clinic who had taken care of our family pets for 30+ years, I was unsure I'd find any practice equal. Thankfully, I have. Dr. Van Deijck & the staff at Pet Street are extraordinary. Dr. Van Dejick does not immediately mask symptoms with antibiotics or painkillers. He seeks to find the cause of the issues, taking into account past history, daily routine & environment before his diagnose. Thanks to him, what seemed like a clear cut case of feline cystitis in my recently adopted barn cat was actually a stress-related issue, easily remedied with a "nurture collar". The cat is happy, healthy and content, enjoying his new indoor life with his other cat and dog friends. read more

I came to this office from PetSmart Banfield because my regular vet Dr Luke Williams moved to the Pet Street office. I just love my vet Dr Williams as he is so compassionate and caring for all my pets, listening to my questions and helping me understand what issues I may have concerning my pets health, so when I found out he was leaving Banfield I decided to follow him. Even though I live in Palm Coast I was willing to travel a little further just to be able to keep him as our favorite vet, and I've tried a few since moving here 3yrs ago believe me.. I was even willing to pay a little bit more for the office visit rather then go anywhere else.. I am in a rescue also and use this vet for them too. but when it came time for 3 of the dogs to have a dental done and was quoted $450-500.00 dollars each not including the extractions and any medication needed it was time for me to do some serious shopping around. When it comes to their health I shouldn't have to put a price tag on it but financially I find that I am just not able to use this vet anymore. Sure I can get a 15% discount if I wait till February but even with the discount it would cost a minimum of 382.50 - 425.00 each not including extra for extractions if needed and medication.. so I have to change my rating from 5stars to 3.. It's unfortunate that we have to choose between our beloved pets and our wallet. I just wish they cared more for our pets and less about getting rich. OH WELL, wish me luck..JMO DD read more
