I have 3 little dogs.. This business is a couple miles away. I have used them on and off for the…read morelast 15 years. A few months back, brought all 3 in for grooming. They looked fine when I picked them up. I made an appointment and brought them down for haircuts before we were all going on a trip. New people working every time I go in.. The receptionist asked questions about their health. I thought the Vet said one of them had a heart murmur. They said need a note from Dr. saying it's ok to groom. Never did they do that before, except making sure they had their shots. Yes, I get those shots there. So I got angry, tried calling my Vet. Murphy's Corner, but they were very busy and said it may take 48 hours for a call back. We left, a few hours later vet called and said no heart murmur.. When I went to pick up my 2 dogs after grooming, I was shocked to see them completely shaved, no hair around face, or on their tale. I paid and the manager said , we weren't welcome there and called me a racist. . I am not. I made a comment and the dude took it personal. These big huge corporations, are looking out for themselves. They don't really care. It's all about the almighty $$$$$ RACE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT I had already decided to never set foot in there again. Terrible cuts my two have.. Honestly, we were going here for about 6ish months with our dog and it was great. He had a groomer…read morethat liked him and even asked to be rescheduled with her. She left. All of a sudden they don't think he's a good fit for them, maybe he should go to a private groomer. It's really unfortunate. We have the premier membership or whatever they offer. He was seen at petcos in CA before moving here. He is such a loving (though big) golden retriever. We will try another location to see if there are actual groomers who are wanting to do their job. Seems clear from our most recent experiences (and reading some of the other reviews) this location can't handle any dog. I should mention his ears and paws were soaked when picked up. He is prone to ear infections, which they know about. When we had taken him in with other groomers there he was there 3+ hours. Now, barely 2 hours. He seems really depressed now too. Poor buddy traumatized by the lack of care there

I've been shopping at BFC for our woodsy friends for many years. They also have most of our other outdoor "pets" covered, too - from rabbits to squirrels. They have also got supplies for dogs, cats, "indoor" pet birds, and other domesticated animals. In my experience, service is ALWAYS quick, helpful, and friendly. I've never had to return anything, but I would expect good service. The big box shops have the mass produced feed at, I think, sometimes lower prices, but it's worth it to us and our outdoor family to get the good stuff (and it's not always more money). The back wall at the register is also always a fun read -- they have a regularly changing wall with tons of humorous wood signs/plaques and they carry some other fun giftable items. I have done some present shopping here from time to time. (And, no - I did not give my wife a bag of bird seed for Christmas! That would have been more of a birthday thing...)

We take our dogs here for grooming and have been happy each time they come home looking great. One of our dogs is very high anxiety when it comes to groomers and they've had no issues with him here, which is amazing. We haven't been able to get his nails trimmed anywhere else because he freaks out too much but the groomers here are magical and get it done each time. It's a bit pricey but worth it to know our dogs are well taken care of. They also come back so handsome each time!
