    Finn and Cuddles, our kitties

This place is incredible and the staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable! I adopted two kittens from the Noah shelter and came here and they set me up with an adoption package for my kittens to try new things! Gave me good recommendations and I'm stoked to go back and bring my kitties to say hello!

This is my favorite pet supply store! They have all of the best in holistic and healthy food & treats for dogs & cats! If they don't have it, they will try to special order it for you. I love that it is family owned & operated. Spike is wonderful. Truly the most gracious and kind animal lover. He and his wife have the best in knowledge about healthy food for your dogs & cats. I love that they have customers photos of their dogs all around the store too! Our dog, George Michael loves going in and getting his free treat and pets from everyone. This is my favorite place to shop for all of my dogs needs!! I highly recommend checking this place out. Best customer service and a personal touch with every customer!!

Very helpful for our German shepherd with food allergies. Bought some raw dog food and he loves it! Super friendly staff. Shop local:)

Fresh breath oral care products and Happy Teeth Dog Chew for my girl.

Stopped by after picking my dog up across the way. She liked sniffing around and the guy in the shop was super friendly! She liked the treats she was able to try and even got a photo for their picture board. We appreciate the help and treats! Thanks for being kind and friendly.

When we got there our dog was happy wagging its tail and showed no sign of fear. Our dog was a rescue dog so we didn't know how she would react to grooming. Came here to buy my kids each a hamster today. Terrible experience with a staff member who told us…read moreher name was Judy, which ended with us shipping elsewhere. Initially we planned to buy two hamsters, and use one cage. We asked if this was alright, and the staff member told us no they need their own cages. We chatted for a moment and decided that was fine, we'd buy two and we'd buy two separate cages- however we didn't plan to buy them both from Petco (I already had plans to purchase a whole setup on OfferUp after our store visit). Apparently Judy didn't like this for some reason...she said she would not sell us both hamsters unless we were buying two cages right then. I asked her if this was store policy, and she said it was. I said that was funny, considering they were both housed in the same habitat at the store and perfectly fine for the time being. This exchange was not pleasant...so we left. We went over to Pet Smart, and got our two hamsters. The staff was super helpful, and the hamsters were also 40%. Thanks for saving us some money Judy. Both hamsters are content in their new habitats (see, two cages) and we will make sure to shop at Pet Smart for all our pet care needs moving forward

We mostly frequent the Monroe store and have been to the (much smaller) Redmond Ridge store a few times, but this was the first time we tried the Everett location. This is a relatively new Evereett location, Sam's having moved here from a previous location in Everett that had been open several years. This is the old Trader Joe's space in Everett, and it works well for Sam's. It's also Sam's largest location. The selection is impressive, and the quality and range of items carried are perfect. They have some hard-to-find superb pet food brands, as well as others that are a step up from grocery store food but not on that top tier. This is intentional. I know because Sam told me they want to ensure everyone can feed, entertain, and care for their pets regardless of their means. (Did you know they distribute any returned food to food banks and that you can return food if your pet does not like it.) So, yes, I had the pleasure of finally meeting the Sam (Sam Wirsching) behind the name. If you've ever seen Sam's flyers for Santa photos for your pets at Christmas, Sam is Santa (and a perfect-looking one at that). He was extremely humble, friendly, and exceptionally helpful and knowledgable. I was impressed, and it made our family's loyalty to this place increase. Sam's isn't fancy, but it carries top-tier brands. Think of it as a much larger Mud Bay without any pretentiousness. And it has great customer service, even offering free delivery of orders. We love Sam's Cats & Dogs Naturally. Though we will continue to primarily frequent the Monroe store, we would frequent this location if it was the one closest to us. All three locations are great.

I absolutely adore this place!…read more Aside from a Petco or Petsmart I don't think I've ever really been in a reptile store and I got to tell you, every time I visit to pick up rats for my snakes, UGG. I love it! I feel like once in awhile they change their layout but the most RECENT change up? Amazing! Please don't change it. My favorite are the giant snakes (that used to be in the back and harder to see) but now I can see them up front and center! They are huge! I came a few weeks ago when one of the staff members were handling the green tree python and ugg so beautiful in person (I watch a lot of snake videos on YT). Anyways, I'm getting carried away, I initially wanted to leave a review for my actual purchase of F/T rats and mice. I still remember the first time I came in and I asked for some mice... the sweet girl goes to the back and brings me a LIVE MOUSE! I'm like "ooooh no no no, I need frozen please!" Haha! Ever since then, I make sure to clarify I need frozen. My hognose is a great eater and never had any issues and before I found this place, I had to order in bulk like 50-100... and it was not cheap nor did I have the space. When I got my ball python, there was no way I was going to be ordering 50+ rats and you know how they can be... when I first got him he ate 2 times and decided to go on a hunger strike for 6 months... good thing I didn't have 48 more rats in my freezer lol! Both my snakes eat great which means they really take care of their rodents and I have been a happy customer for the past 1.5ish years? I used to drive up from Ballard but now we live in Everett so it's only 15 mins away! Thanks for all that you guys do and being welcoming every time (:

Even though the chameleon is a more complicated creature to care for, Nina taught us everything we needed to know to be successful with our new pet, and has continued to answer any questions that have arisen. Also, unlike at the big chain stores, Hewitt breeds their own chameleons and they know what they're doing. If you buy a reptile from Petco or Petsmart, you're likely to get one that has been bred from poor stock, has been improperly cared for, and is unhealthy. Avoid these expensive and heartbreaking problems by shopping at Hewitt!

They will lie and won't respond: - Elizabeth the woman I dealt with said - he is doing well with other kitties - HE IS NOT - I called several times to follow-up - THEY AVOID FOLLOW-UPS. NO CALLS RETURNED - they say they work with a rescue in Hawaii - there's no phone number on the website so I emailed and AGAIN NO RESPONSE - they use social media to send out nice photos. In reality, it's a very sad place. This is THE MOST NEGLECTED shelter I have seen - A neighbor recently told me they lied to him about his pup that grew up to be a huge dog CONTRARY TO WHAT HE'S BEING TOLD of it being a terrier mix! How they operate: - Other shelters usually ask questions about if you have other pets or will the pet be indoor or outdoor, etc. HERE THEY DON'T CARE! - They are active in social media with FAKE REVIEWS and enticing people with nice photos to adopt especially dog puppies because they CHARGE MOST FOR THEM. The POOR PUPPIES are placed right by the entrance of the store! - The building is rather run down. The living conditions of the animals are not that good. HARDLY ANY BLANKETS. DIRTY. NOT ENOUGH WATER. BAD VENTILATION... - They have KIDS supposedly interns doing the dirty work whereas the adults are on their phone and chatting by the counter I might praise them for rescuing all kinds of animals. Unfortunately they don't know how and are not equipped to take care of exotic animals. A huge parrot in a small cage or a big tortoise as attractions! They should be taken to specialized rescues. THERE'S JUST SOMETHING WRONG WITH HOW THEY OPERATE, SO JUST BEWARE!

Bottom line, they're super nice, the products are good, and they're actually competitive on price too. In long Across a couple locations, they've been one of the main places I've shopped for pet stuff the last 20 years. There was a time when I'd get food at other places when I saw a lower price, but the dry stuff I get my cats now is actually cheaper here than most places. This week I came in for a bag of kibble that I paid for online. Their website occasionally has a bug that triggers your purchase at a different store, even if you re-save your local branch as "your" store. They were super cheerful about fixing it and squared it away in under 5 minutes. Another guy had a big friendly mutt in with him while I was waiting, and here's where you see MB doing its thing--they offer treats, gush over your fur baby, and make a point of remember your dog's name next time you come in. They want you to know they work there because they love animals, too. Nice touch. The way they merchandise everything is really nice for some reason--bit sturdy free-standing tables and shelves, usually you can see under around just about everything. Polished concrete floors. All easy to clean, very pet-friendly. They have every little thing you can imagine--beds, collars, food and water dishes, not just food. They have every kind of wet and dry food, too, and probably some natural stuff (I didn't look). Pets go through enough food that I am a pretty price-driven shopper, and these guys have come back into the rotation for me thanks to their pricing. But they really care, too--our little dog is a picky eater, and they have kept track of everything she has tried, and finally found stuff she'll eat enough of that she actually got half a pound *over* her goal weight. They're really great here.
