Took our elderly Bernese Mountain dog to Allison for a groom. Compared to where we were going previously, the place was so quiet and calm. It's taken me a long time to write this review because the haircut itself was okay. The experience though was not. I left my dog here for a haircut, shes small and loves getting groomed so she's pretty cooperative. I was told a rough time estimate but around that time I didn't get a call. 1 hour past that time, still nothing. 1.5 hours past the estimate I know a haircut doesn't take this long so I call and they won't answer so I head on over. When I get there my dog is done and in a fenced area next to a husky that is howling and barking in the area next to her so she is shaking nervous. I felt so bad for her, I hate making her wait long and wish somebody would have called me sooner. In my car she was in the back when she suddenly started screaming in pain. She pooped and peed everywhere and limped for a while after that. The vet wasn't sure what was wrong, but luckily she ended up being okay later; it was very strange. The groomer though was concerned, called me back immediately and offered to pay her vet bill. Unfortunately after something like that I cant trust bringing her back. read more

We have taken our two dogs here for grooming for several years. However, the last two times, they claimed one of our dogs chewed thru our leash. I find this hard to believe, as the leash is very thick, and the place it was "chewed thru" was a clean cut. Not frayed like a dog would leave. We will continue to bring our dogs here as they do a really good job on the grooming. Also, they said they will remove the leashes from the availability of the dogs. read more

For thr exception of one visit, the staff is friendly and accommodating. However... They have never been able to take me day of, always requiring a reservation days in advance. They have not once managed to return my dog to me without drawing blood. My pup is a bit of a squirmer... Actually she's a lot of a squirmer-But that's why I'm taking her to the professionals. On my final visit, they even managed to slice her pad... not the nail... but the pad itself. Not that it would have changed much, but I didn't get so much as an apology; much less a discount. Australian Labradoodles have a very specific cut and they've done a great job achieving it! We brought our dog in to have his nails trimmed. Two days later, we realized that they did not trim his dew claws. We called and left several messages, letting them know about this, and asking for an appointment to come in so they can complete the service that we had already paid for. It has been several weeks now, and no one ever called us back! What awful customer service!! This was the second time we had taken our pets to them, and they were fine up until now. It would've only taken five minutes, at the most, to complete the job. It's bad enough that they did not finish the job in the first place, but not returning our calls to rectify the situation is even worse. Very disappointed. The wife made an appointment two or three weeks ago. The owner called out for the day and when my wife made it there for her 3pm time, she was told it was scheduled for 2:30. We intentionally made this time due to her dialysis and my schedule so to have the staff blame us, and have no sort of reschedule conversation was not cool. Bummer. Rating is for a cut and bath. They do buzz cuts only, 1" and under. My long haired very small dog was buzz cut in a totally different length and style than the long haired picture shown to them. 80% of the hair had been cut off when picked up, opposite of the pictured length and style shown and requested. $70 for bath/shave. Good thing: hair grows back. Will take a few months as the current length is of a 7 week old puppy, but it will get less ugly every day thank goodness. Separate note, my appointment day was changed to another day without telling me. Found out when I called saying I was coming in, on the day. Also, AKC does not recommend cuts under 1", which is the longest they can do, so request that or who knows how short it could be. read more

I've been taking my dog Scout in here for awhile now and they've always been great with him. He's an anxious guy and doesn't like his feet touched but they somehow always manage to clip his nails. We recently had a family dog come live with us. Due to family medical reasons this sweet old guy hasn't been groomed in quite some time. Poor guy was a mess! I just happened have an appointment for Scout the day after we got Wylie and they let me trade appointments with no problem. I seriously never write reviews but felt I needed to. My 13-year old Cockapoo is very (VERY) anxious and also suffers from some age related hip/back pain. He's been going to the same groomer for years but I noticed that each time he came home, he'd hide under my bed and then spend the next two days crying with back pain. Well, today he had his first appointment at Muddy Paws and it was amazing! He came home happy, full of energy and ready to play. Not anxious or in any sort of pain at all.
