I got my little dog (Lady) groomed here recently. They also did color on her tail which turned out amazing!!! They chose the best colors! She was a mess when I brought her in cause she likes to play outside a lot and gets really muddy, and she has long wavy hair so she also gets a lot of mats in her hair. They did such a good job!! Her coat looks so nice and perfect! A lot of people don't get the hair on her face perfect with no cut lines or anything (I only notice the lines because I do human hair for a living), but it's very rare to find someone that doesn't leave any cut lines what so ever! The other thing that I really like, maybe even most importantly, is that they obviously love animals, that's huge! They also took a holiday picture of her! Best place ever!! *I included a couple before pictures so you know what they were dealing with, the mats are hard to see tho! read more

I take my antsy/finicky/doesn't like to be picked up kitty there for nail trimmings and Josh is the Catb Whisperer with her. I stand and watch in amazement as he either does it all by himself or has help from one of the women and she just lets them do her nails. My last vet couldn't trim them without sedating her; Josh does it practically standing on his head. Highly recommended (at least for kitty paws). read more

We have gone to Pet Spa for the entire seven years we have lived in Washington. Before the new owners took over, the original owners were amazing! There was one particular groomer that knew exactly how I liked my Oreo's hair cut. And one visit, there was a different groomer and I was not happy about her cut! The owner immediately said, it was a different groomer and she apologized for her hair cut. My next visit she gave me a deep discount for the visit. The original owners retired and sold the business a couple of years ago and the new owners didn't seem as organized in the beginning. But our Oreo was not scared going there because she was used to the place. We purchased another Havanese during the pandemic and started taking them both there. The first cut we didn't like and showed them pictures of how we liked their hair being that the groomers were all new. We still paid full price for their hair cuts even though we didn't like it After showing them the pictures, they started to get the cuts right and we had no problems. More recently they implemented a new policy to pay a deposit before coming which I was okay with. And then you pay the rest after the groomers finished. Our visits usually run us around $160 dollars for two small Havanese dogs. We kept our dogs there because they were used to going and it was no longer a struggle for them to go. The employees got better at their process and things seemed to move smoothly. I'm in transition to California for a new job and I texted the groomer to get the dogs in for one last visit before moving which I let them know. I'm in between moving and my son came to help us from Portugal get things situated. He took our daughter to a day surgery and was supposed to drop the dogs off at 1 PM on 7/6/23 after her morning day surgery, We paid our $80 deposit for them and around 4 PM I texted him from California to see if they were ready. He had forgot to take them! I immediately tried to call the Pet Spa and texted to apologize for what happened but there was no response until late the next day. Out of seven years we never missed taking them before. I asked if we could get them in next week before we leave. She said she could get us in but it would be $150. I asked about the $80 we had already paid and she said unfortunately because I didn't give notice it was gone. I understand how no calls work. I thought after 7 years with them and giving them second chances after not liking my pets hair but still paying full price to the new owners, they would have some grace knowing my circumstance. I even tried calling the same day once I knew he had forgotten to drop them off! It's not about the money for me, it's how you didn't think to take care of your regular customer and it was my pets last visit. We spent $150 to $160 almost monthly. It seems like loyal customers are no longer valued. It wasn't like they were giving me a discount. I only was asking to be charged like they usually charge me. $80 deposit and $80 when we pick them up for $160 not including the tip we leave! I was deeply disappointed in their response! So, I will wait to find a new groomer in California. There's no way I'm paying $230 for two small dogs. Hopefully they understand the value of future loyal customers! read more

This is the worst place I have ever been. For $130.00, they were supposed to wash, blow dry, and trim his fur. Instead, they washed and dried his fur. When they she combined his fur, she was very harsh, so much my dog reacted. She called me to pick him up. I picked him up, and she told me to comb him myself. I informed her that for the price, she's supposed to trim his fur. She said, "I'm not doing that, and I'm charging you full. I took my dog home, and on his right side of his body, he was sensitive from where she combed him hard and the rest of him was ok. I will not take him there anymore, and to see how my dog was treated, how many others were treated the same. read more

We've been taking our dog to A Pet Spa for about 3 years now. We've been very happy with them. The owner is almost always there and you get the feeling she cares about her customers. Our pup (a Yorkie/Shih-Tzu/Toy-Poodle mix) has hair that can easily mat. In the summer months, we always have the groomers cut her hair shorter, but in the winter we like to leave it longer. A Pet Spa always works with us to deliver the cut we want and they don't complain about a few mats. A Pet Spa is also current with technology and uses text messaging to confirm appointments and send reminders. They have always been accurate with their time estimates for how long each grooming will take. At previous groomers, our dog always seemed a bit stressed and lethargic after we picked her up - as if she'd been through the ringer. I have not observed that with A Pet Spa. She always seems happy when we pick her up. read more

We took both our dogs there last year and it was a mess. One of our dogs is short-haired the other long-haired. They butchered our long-haired dog's coat. It was not clipped but looked partially shaved. The owners were sitting outside in their Truck smoking and it seemed like they didn't want to do any work. There were multiple dogs in the back and the groomer taking care of another and it took a while to pick up our pups. The owners even accidentally locked their dog out the front door because they weren't paying attention. Will not be returning there again. Didn't complete what was agreed upon and didn't feel safe with my dogs there. read more

A Pet Spa is just AMAZING!!!!!!! i've taken Oreo to several different places from the big chain places (when I didn't know better) to even some other places which are highly rated here on Yelp and they were good but they just weren't as good as this place. Here are the reasons why this place is like out of the world GREAT! 1) Oreo typically hates getting his haircut. So much so that sometimes at other places it becomes a tug of war. When i bring Oreo to this place he just walks in happy as a clam. Oreo likes this place. I think this should be the first test in picking a dog groomer. 2) After his grooming session Oreo is calm and well behaved. He hates car rides but this last time he was calm as can be checking out the scenery. 3. The hair cut is SILKY SMOOTH!!!!!! Just amazig. 4. The actual grooming area is out front and the groomer is so skilled that te dogs seem very calm while getting their hair cut. I try to always book ahead right after his appointment. read more

This is the second time I took my mini Australian Shepherd to this spa. The first time I took him here was such a great experience that I wanted to try them again. The guy that was assigned to groom my dog was named Shawn and he looked less than thrilled to be at work at 9 am. I specially told them I wanted what we got last time, (they had a little chart that showed what haircut my dog was given last time), but that I wanted to keep his mane longer and just to TRIM the rest of his hair. I basically take my dog to the groomers to get his belly shaved to keep him cool in the hotter temps and to clip his toe hair and nails. When I picked up my dog, he was caged in the back where I could hear other dogs howling and barking. My dog was cut so short and there were visible chinch of unevenness. He looked awful and all his fluff was gone :( He didn't even look like an Australian Shepherd! Now he looks like a dang cattle dog. My mom and other people have commented on how bad of a job this groomer did on my dog's hair. Worst groom he's ever gotten. I guess I'll find a new dog salon to take him to next time. read more

I'd always taken my little guy (mini poodle) to Petsmart, but wanted to switch for a number of reasons: I wanted to support a small business, I wasn't happy with most of the cuts he's gotten at that particular store and it was costing too much for what I was ending up with. This place cost me less and the did a great job. His fro and pom tail were perfect and nicely rounded and they took care of all of his "quarantine matts". The people who work here are amazing. They perform doggie hair miracles. No joke. We took our shih-tzu here to he groomed, and to be honest, I have had a really tough time finding a worthwhile groomer. Precious had matted legs, because she enjoys licking her hair and runs when I get the scissors. I asked for a fairly long hair cut, "rounded feet, rounded face, 1/4 off her body and shorter legs." Not only did they call me about potentially taking more off her legs, but they soaked her in conditioner AND GOT THE MATTING OUT!!! I didn't care if they shaved her legs shorter, but I swear on the sweet cheese makers of Oregon, I didn't think they could have done so. Miracles man, miracles!!! If that weren't enough, they also gave our little Oswin (our tiny puppy) a dress because I mentioned being excited about doing that. They are amazing people, groomere, and a friendly and wonderful business. Also, they ACTUALLY call you back if you can't get a hold of them and leave a message. I spent a lot of time online reading reviews before deciding to give A Pet Spa a shot at grooming my 7 year old Cavalier King Charles Sissy. When I called they helped me pick an appointment time that would assure she wouldn't be caged long before or after. I asked for some specific options and made an appointment for the next day. When I arrived I was greeted promptly by Shawn who listened to my instructions and looked at the photo I had of her previous grooming example. I asked her to call me half hour before Sissy would be ready. I returned to find Sissy all done and looking and acting great! When I asked if they had performed some of the options I had asked for the day before I found out they had actually made notes during our phone call and had followed through accordingly! Since this was our first appointment here I did ask for a couple touchups to Sissy's coat length after checking out. This was handled immediately with a great attitude and notes were made so that they could get it dialed in next time. The spa was neat and clean and housed in a nice shopping/office center. Prices were in line with what I've been paying for quality grooming services over the past few years. Based on this one visit I would highly recommend this spa for small dog grooming. read more

THEY CUT MY DOG! After picking up our dog we noticed right away how choppy the cut was and were not pleased. Days later we noticed our dog licking close to her tail, after taking a look behind her tail you can clearly see a divot and a cut. Never once did they inform us or doc the price. LOVE THIS GROOMING ESTABLISHMENT. My senior Aussie had an accident and had laid completely in her own urine very early in the AM, I washed her down a bit but she has very long coat and I became stressed out at 7AM. I call about 4 groomers and all were booked or didn't have the time. I call A Pet Spa and they reassure me that it can be done! I drop her off and go on about my day (she's older so she obviously has problems standing) this was NO ISSUE for Alyssa! My Aussie is very antisocial but she came out of the groomers happy and her butt wiggled like crazy! She looked amazing and smelled even better! They also gave her the cutest bows! Alyssa was sweet and actually got down to the floor to greet my grumpy girl, that alone told me she was in great hands. Thank you A Pet Spa, I found my regular groomer! read more
