So I've been coming to this fish store for years, and I decided to come here on my birthday this…read moreyear to get some fish to add to my tank. I will NEVER step foot in this fish store ever again after my last experience. Started off with a female staff member offering help. A younger female employee ended up coming over and telling her that someone had a fish surrender. The two men working were nowhere to be found. She never came back to help me and ended up helping other groups In there. Fish are just put into tanks Willy nilly now as well which is irritating. Half the tanks are labeled poorly. Now the worst part. EVERY. SINGLE. TANK. HAD. DISEASE. There was even a catfish covered in some biofilm standing on its back fin STILL ALIVE. I will attach the photo. Bettas are also in horrid conditions. They used to clean their little jars often, but most definitely not anymore. Half have a swim bladder problem. Why charge so much for fish that are treated like crap? The Pride in the fish here is definitely gone. I ended up getting no fish that day and a bad taste in my mouth for my (used to be) favorite fish store. If I wanted diseased fish and garbage customer service, I would have went to petsmart.

So I have taken my dog here for a little over a week now and they seem to be, like my rating says,…read moreA-OK. There isn't anything terribly bad about this business nor is there anything outstanding. They have a small little business located on 21st Street right before you turn onto Hampton Blvd. You may easily drive right past it unless you notice the multicolor drawings on the outside of their building. They offer half day (5 hrs or less) or full day (5 hrs or more) of care. You can buy "bulk" orders which will help you save some money. They aren't terribly expensive relative to the other places around here and the people there are very nice. My dog seems to enjoy the play style there as he is always dragging me towards the door which I presume to be a good indication of the "fun" he gets there. However, I have to mention that on several occasions, my pup came back with bite marks on his face, clumps of missing hair and a bleeding ear. They helped me clean off the ear when I picked him up and there didn't seem to be any lasting damage to the dog. I don't have a whole lot of experience with doggie daycare so I can't really do a comparison. They will feed your dog if you provide the food and instructions at no extra cost and you can make reservations by calling or emailing them. You do have to bring your dog in for an assessment. This means they are trying to see if your dog is aggressive and plays well with others. It takes about an hour and basically they just put your dog in with the others to see how they play. They also have a tiny room in front for smaller dogs/puppies. No, they do not board dogs.

The people were pleasant enough, and I came back to use their self-serve bath services, but I had an incident where the owner was making an error with my change, and I had to mention it to him three times before he corrected it, as if he thought I would forget he over charged me. There was something hucksterish in his demeanor. It just left a bad taste in my mouth. Admittedly I have not used their boarding services, but the devil is in the details. I won't go back.

I recently purchased a caockapoo in September of 2024 and had no idea where to take him. I remembered boutique a yo yo and I am so happy with the results. She let me pick out a haircut tailored for a cockapoo and it made all the difference in the world. It took me a while to find a place bc I heard all the horror stories of owners taking their dogs to groomers and their haircuts coming out "butchered". This place is an "oldie but goodie" and they still have their spark.

Apparently there was a college student there on summer break related to one of the employees. Evidently she was not trained properly, therefore put what looks like a noose around my babies neck on a table, and walked away from her. A dogs natural reaction is to jump off the table therefore hanging herself!! It was tragic & to this day I still miss her and wish I NEVER had chosen this place! If you love you baby and want them to live do not take your dog cat whatever to this place ! You'll thank me later, I promise! To be fair, they offered to replace her with another dog, or give monetary value of my baby. Didn't want either one. I wanted my baby to be groomed and come home alive!!!

We told them that our small dog doesn't get along with bigger dogs and puppies, but we were assured that he'd be kept separate, and that it wouldn't be an issue. Ultimately, another dog attacked our dog and ours required surgery and overnight observation. The vet told us we're lucky he wasn't killed. Sandra assured us she'd cover the vet charges (over $1,000), but she never did. We reached out to her many times, and even offered to take repayment in installments. We're now forced to pursue reimbursement through small claims court.
