Horrible business. Bought a package from this establishment for my 5 month old mini Aussie labradoodle for her first cut and couldn't have been more disappointed. They called my husband shortly after being dropped off to say they couldn't give her a cut cuz she was too scared but charged the full price. The only part visibly trimmed was her paws. It wasn't apparent what else was done. It seems like a blow out was done and that was it. A friend has recommended this place and I wanted to get his opinion so I showed him her picture after the cut and he agreed. It wasn't justified. He told me to just reach out to them. It just must be an understanding so I did. Called the office, was told there wasn't anything they could do, for her hair type it would be around 90. So why wasn't this communicated instead of just not cutting her hair and saying she was scared but charging us 64? Then I contacted the owner on Facebook and she told me to reach out to her via phone and gave me a number that wasn't functional. I told her this and gave her my number instead to contact. She just left me on read. This is not the kind of business that I would trust my puppy with. I was excited to find a place where I could send my pup for daycare since it was close by but thankfully they showed themselves. Maybe they have preference on who they'd serve there... I am a person of color in this area so I honestly wonder if that have played a role. read more

Welcoming, Organized, and Affordable. My appointment was for several a la carte services. When I arrived, I was greeted in a very friendly manner, and my baby was taken back in less than 5 mins. I truly appreciated how the groomer cradled my girl as if she was her own for safety. My girl wiggles a lot. Less than 20 minutes later she was ready to go. The services requested included nail trimming and cleaning the hair between her pads. I was very pleased with the outcome. My girls pads were visible again. She also went the extra step to clean up my baby's personal areas and trim her feet. The availability of the a la carte service is outstanding. You can also see the daycare baby's in the back. After trying several groomers in the area, this place really knows what they're doing! My boy always looks soooo good when I pick him up, he's a Newfie poodle mix so we fluctuate throughout the year on the length his coat gets trimmed, and no matter what he always looks just as good as I hoped he would. He's in such a good mood leaving, extra excited every time we arrive, which tells me they're really good to him when they have him. The staff is all really nice, whoever is sitting up front any given day we drop in is pleasant. And the dogs that hangout for daycare are really sweet too, whenever I stop in to pick up I can see they're all just playing like friendly typical goofy dogs. Was definitely worth having to wait on a wait list for a groomer to have an opening to take care of my dog regularly and she's amazing. read more

I should have written this review a lot sooner. Aimee and her staff at Furst Love are the sweetest and nicest people you will ever meet. When she first open her doors back in 2016, I was just diagnosed with lymphoma and going through chemotherapy. I took a chance in her not only as a groomer for my beagle and Doberman (a puppy at the time) but for their day care services as well. Aimee would meet me up at her business first thing in the morning and bring my fur baby home with her to play with her own dogs while I was receiving treatment. I could never ever think her enough for the kindness and grace and showed me (a stranger at the time). I will always be a Patron to this great business. I took my Yorky in there before Covid. They got him in on time but when I got him back I was shocked at how horrible his haircut was. I could've done it myself. They offered no explanation or reason why he would look so terrible. I decided to go back with a second dog who is bigger and doesn't need a haircut. She just needed a bath. They told me to bring her in so I did. They said it'll be about an hour. I came back in an hour, and they hadn't even touched her Was just sitting in a cage. So I said I'll take my dog. Thanks and I'm never going back there. It used to be run well and I don't know what happened but something happened. I cannot get an explanation but it's as if they don't know what's going on or what they're doing. You can go there but I'm not going there again. read more

Very disappointed. My regular groomer recommended them to me because she was having surgery. My baby came home with razor burn in several places, and a nick near her neck that I didn't catch until she had scratched it to a dime-sized owie! Plus she is uneven all over. They told my son (who took her because I was out of town) that she was difficult to groom because she wouldn't stand up - she kept laying down and rolling over onto her back, but really? EDIT: I am going to add one star. My original post is accurate, however, Aimee the owner of Furst Love called me personally to apologize and did whatever she could to make it right (including offering to pay for any vet bills, which I didn't have.) I really admire owners and companies that care about their clients and try to make things right. Five stars for customer service. It looks like they have many five star reviews on this site, so my visit must have been just a fluke. read more

UPDATE: I decided to give this place a second chance since the owner and staff were so sincere in trying to make things right for me and my puppy. I ended up taking Mimi in for a full haircut that included nail trim and ear plucking. It only took an hour or two - they were prompt about calling me and she looked SO cute when I picked her up! Exactly what I wanted they actually trimmed her face this time and I was very happy with the way she looked. I will be bringing her back. I'm adding another star to my review :) *****EDIT: after my review, I was contacted by the owner who apologized to me, AND sent me a thank you card and full refund - the card was signed by the entire staff. Their customer service is INCREDIBLE and I never have felt so cared about by a company who I wasn't completely satisfied. I think I will bring Mimi back for a second chance just based on their willingness to apologize and being sincere in doing so! I'll update my review if I take Mimi back.****** I really wanted to love this place. Out of all the pet groomers near me this was rated the highest so naturally, I gave them a call to get my 3 and a half month old Yorkie groomed. I set up an appointment and packed my baby, Mimi, up and we drove down the street to the shop. When I got there I filled out paperwork and they asked for Mimi's vaccination records which I had with me and was relieved they asked for that because it means Mimi won't get sick by other dogs, but as I continued to fill out paperwork I got to the end of it which was a disclaimer that read something like: "We are not responsible if your pet is injured - if your pet is injured by us or another animal, you allow us to take your pet to any veterinarian we think is necessary and we will not be responsible for any medical costs due to injury" which obviously made me scared to leave me 1.5 lb puppy with these people. The groomer who was a nice lady came out to talk to me and I felt reassured because she was very sweet and seemed knowledgeable about grooming and explained how she would groom Mimi. She took my puppy to the back and the receptionist told me "you can pick her up in about two hours" which seems like a long time to wait when I had an appointment. I then asked where and how Mimi will be kept for the entire time she waits to be worked on and the receptionist told me she won't be kept with bigger dogs but she might be put in a room with smaller dogs, something I said I wasn't comfortable with (especially after reading that disclaimer about possible injury) because she's so small and I don't know how she is around other dogs or if other dogs will bully her because of her size. The receptionist reassured me everything will be fine and they will call me in 2 hours. I went to eat and get my nails done, and waited for the call. As the 2 hour mark approached and I didn't hear from then I began to worry. At 3 hours later I still didn't hear anything from them about my puppy. I went to the shop and went inside to ask where Mimi was and why haven't I been called. The groomer came out with her and said she told the receptionist to call me but "she must have forgotten" ... That means Mimi was waiting an additional hour for no reason with who knows how many other dogs and who knows how scared. I think what I expected was this: to make an appointment to have my puppy bathed and get a haircut (which her hair wasn't cut, just her face barely trimmed but her feet and ears with trimmed) which at most should've taken an hour, and to get my dog back. I didn't think I'd be dropping her off to stay that long, and to be kept with that many other animals. Although everyone was friendly, and no harm came to my puppy, I won't be back. I think they are a great salon for bigger dogs that are use to being around other dogs/used to being in a kennel, they would probably have a great time here, but not for small baby dogs who are scared and first timers who are neither use to grooming or used to being other animals just yet. read more

Since they opened last year, this is the only place I will take my Yorkie. They clearly love all furry friends and take the time to do a cut the way you want and it's done professionally. I accidentally left my dogs leash there and the owner drove to my house to return it. If that doesn't tell you about the top quality customer service, then nothing will convince you. It's affordable and clean and a safe environment for doggie play date as well! Highly recommend this place! Edited to say that my Sophie baby has pinkie nails that will get impacted if not cut correctly and I've previously had to spend big bucks to have her put to sleep as many many groomers in her short life have traumatized her with cutting them. I was super hesitant to have it done at yet another grooming place the first time but she had zero issues as far as I can tell and she gets excited when we pull up to the store. There are a few people in the world who care enough about animals and have the gift of grooming to always put your dog first, that's Amiee Allen and her team at Fur'st Love. I've taken my standard poodles to Amiee for the past 5 years, my furry kids love her and she always sends them home looking and smelling great. Most importantly to me I trust her with my pups and know she always is looking out for their best interest. I drive 30 minutes each way to get to the new shop and it's worth every minute. Rude customer service and the owner apparently thinks she knows more than our veterinarian. After having our dogs at their vet within a week, she challenged their advice on needs for medicine and treatment. I would recommend they stick to grooming and take some training in customer service. I would not be surprised if a lot of it is to justify their additional charges and changing prices. read more

I have to say, we are particular owners when it comes to our two Miniature Schnauzers. We are super picky about their cut, and we have been so pleased using this groomer. The do a great job! I want to say, what stands out to me most, our last visit, our little one got his ear cut during his grooming. The staff was so incredibly apologetic, offering to cover any vet bills, gave us a free coupon for a bath, etc. it was a breath of fresh air when it comes to customer service and caring about their clientele. To top off what I was already impressed with, the following day, I received a call, yet again apologizing and offering any assistance they could, and generally checking up on him. I have been coming here for a year now! We started out when they first opened. These ladies are super friendly and truly care about the wellbeing of our Great Dane, Bear. We have taken our dog to another groomer once before and he was absolutely terrified- not here. He loves going and playing with the other dogs. I do think it is a little expensive BUT it totally worth it and you get more than what you pay for. I have also used their doggie day care as well and again I was completely satisfied with the results. Recommend all services they offer. read more

I had taken Stafford to this groomer before and they did a great job. This past visit, not so much. Golden doodles get matted in the summer, especially from swimming.... but I did not understand why my golden doodle ended up having his eye lashes cut and whiskers removed. He was shaved to skin and did have a few cuts.... and bald patches. I was disappointed this last visit and not so sure that I can go back. 118.00 and we wanted to cry. His hair will grow back..... he was so stressed upon pick up. read more

The Furst Love Pet Spa has just earned a new, extremely impressed customer. I have never taken our Golden Retriever to a groomer, mostly due to the horror stories you hear about groomers shaving and ruining their coat. However, this year I decided that I need a professional to do quarterly grooming for my pup, especially now that I have a baby at home, and trying to keep up with my son and groom my dog has proven difficult, at best. I also wanted a professional to de-shed her coat, since my amateur grooming techniques were only removing some of her post-winter undercoat. When I arrived at Furst Love and started unpacking my dog and child, a Spa employee immediately came out to meet me at my car and offered to take my dog inside for me, so that I wasn't juggling a car seat AND an energetic dog. The checkin process was seamless, and the receptionist let me know to call when I came to pick up my pup, and they would bring her out to my car so that I wouldn't have to take my son out of the car in the cold weather. About three hours later, my pup was ready to pick up, and they brought her out to me! My Golden was happy as can be and - WOW - her coat looks amazing. They did an amazing job cleaning up her fur and her nails look impeccable. She smells and looks amazing. Thank you so much to the team at Furst Love. They went above and beyond to make sure my pup was well cared for and made the entire process ridiculously simple and pleasant. Excellent customer service! read more
