The staff for the bird section was absolutely wonderful and answered all the questions we had. It's very important to consider that THESE ARE LIVING BEINGS. Treat them with respect, handle with care, etc. If you choose to handle the birds, there IS a possibility of you getting bit, clawed, pooped on, etc. and it's NOT anywhere close to zero. I advise being especially careful with the macaws, who bite HARD. They have very strong beaks, muscles, and claws that can easily punch holes in skin and scratch. Even the smaller birds are quite nippy, but aren't as likely to break skin (though they certainly do sometimes). Most of the nipping and biting can be attributed to affection, but is just as likely to cause infection (a fun play on words, but still true!). If you don't know how to handle birds, do not go in expecting to come out a professional, or go in with the expectation of all of the birds immediately loving you. These birds see upwards of hundreds of people a day and likely have no idea what to expect from you. I recommend talking with the employees, who I can't guarantee are all as nice as the people we talked to, but likely know the birds at least a little bit, and can help children and people wanting to interact in a safer way than just involving without caution.

I've done plenty of research online, but this was my first time going to look at birds in person. Seeing this was a family run business, I decided to bring my business here rather than a big box store. Big mistake. Almost everyone working seemed to be stuck up teenagers and young adults. My family was in the store for about 30 min and not a single employee offered any assistance. Not even a simple hello. The bird section was absolute chaos. There's TONS of birds jammed into a small corner of the store which seems to be, by far, their most popular animal. The aisles are cramped and it's hard to hear anything with all the birds chirping away. There were 2 employees feeding/ tending to birds. They were pretty much ignoring everyone. I tried to ask a few questions about different species, yet I felt like an annoyance to them.. then I simply got told, if you're new to birds, just get a cockatiel. The guy wouldn't really give any information on any of the other species. I'm trying to make sure I have everything I need in my home before buying a bird, but it seems like they'd rather you just pay $$ now and quit bothering them. There's a bunch of signs up saying NO PICTURES everywhere. It felt like a prison with the wide variety of threatening signs all over the place. I did notice the cages seemed very over priced. An A&E cage I saw on Chewy for $300 was marked up to like $700 in there. The cockatiels were a couple hundred dollars more than Pet Smart. I wanted to avoid going to somewhere like Pet Smart or Petco to get a pet bird, but after this experience, I'll just take my business there. At least they have employees that seem like they care about helping customers. It's a shame to see a local business that can't provide better service than corporate big box stores. If it wasn't for your exorbitant prices, I suspect you'd be out of business by now.

I stocked up on a bag of dog food and some dental chews. I definitely recommend signing up for their email list because this was a great deal and I don't believe they had any restrictions. I did curbside pickup and it went smoothly. The employee bringing my items out was friendly. I will definitely be back.

Quick Stop at Pet Supplies Plus…read more Okay, so we usually go to PetSmart for our essentials, but today we decided to try something new and check out Pet Supplies Plus -- mostly because it's way closer to home. Sometimes convenience wins, right? We popped in to grab Lexi's usual -- Hill's Science Diet for Sensitive Stomachs (bougie bellies only ‍) -- and let me tell you, they had a huge selection of dog food options. The store was pretty busy but well-stocked, which is always a good sign. I wish I had taken some photos (next time, I promise!), but I did take a quick stroll down the aisles to see if they had any dog clothes... and sadly, no outfits in sight. You know Lexi doesn't go anywhere without a fit check, so we always scope out the fashion section. On the bright side, they had: Tons of treats A great variety of toys Leashes, collars, and accessories ...but no sparkle, no glam, no bougie wear The price for our dog food was a bit higher than what we usually pay at other spots, but for the convenience of being so close to home, it worked out just fine this time. They sell everything you could possibly dream of for your reptile needs from the structures to house your new reptile to all the decorations inside. All of their habitats they have in the store are gorgeous. There is always a helpful staff member there to answer any questions. One of the best things about Petco is that they're dog-friendly, which means Lexi can join me while we explore. We popped in to check out the clearance racks for pet clothes (Lexi has a whole wardrobe, so you already know we had to look ). While we didn't end up buying anything this trip, the real highlight was the ferret tank -- and Lexi was mesmerized. The ferrets actually walked right up to her on the other side of the glass, almost like they were trying to start a conversation. It was honestly the cutest thing! We also got stopped several times by fellow shoppers -- Lexi's outfit was a hit as always, and she loved the attention. The store was clean, organized, and the staff was kind, though we didn't need much assistance this time. Even without a purchase, it was a fun little outing and a perfect way to beat the heat. We'll definitely be back (and maybe next time, I'll leave without resisting the clearance section ).

Well, when we got sent by Google Maps to the location and we arrived, we were next to a pet crematorium, not a thrift store! Our dog is 10, so I kept apologizing profusely to her! Looool. We pulled in to a tiny lot and there it was. It's a very tiny shop, decent of cheap outfits, beds, collars, leashes, toys. I ended up getting a gorgeous collar for our girl, and for only $6 it was a steal! Next time I'll try to take photos inside, but I included Sam with her collar!

I snagged a 7pm appointment, love love love their wide range of hours. We booked the Bath & Brush service which includes bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, paw & pad trim, sanitary trim, and anal gland cleaning. That was $22. We upgraded to the Luxury Package which included all I already mentioned plus customized Hempz shampoo & conditioner, teeth brushing & breath freshener, face wash, paw & nose butter, cologne spritz and a bow. That was an additional $35. So our total was $57 and it was worth it. Our fur baby got the best treatment from Ms Ashleigh and we will be returning soon.
