I'm not from this side of the water but I was looking for a particular food for my dogs. The store locator led me here, and what a nice surprise! The place is super cute and a local business- and I love supporting local over chain pet stores. It was clean and organized. The staff were super helpful and friendly. I got exactly what I came for. I would recommend to anyone looking for a specialty dog and cat food store with some of the best pet foods in stock or they can order them for you. If I'm in the area again I will stop back by shop small business!

Kona Approved They have such a nice, clean space with better products than you'll find at any big name store.

Found this place from a recommendation from my dog trainer. Its locally owned and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! I ended up buying a collar and some rawhide free bones from them and everything was reasonably priced. The store is neatly organized and clean, I only wish it were closer to my home bc they're my new go-to for pet supplies.

    The checkout area.

So I used to come here quite often until I noticed a trend in who couldn't and could actually…read morehandle the small animals. So I scaled my patronage down a bit. Fast forward to today. My husband told me about some smaller bunnies he'd seen in there a few weeks ago. As I own a few New Zealand Bucks. Personally my trip in today was for a live feeder rat for my 6 year old ball python. Needless to say I saw two little bunnies behind a little girl who was sitting on a bench who actually wasnt even aware they were behind her because I asked were they hers and she said no. So then I asked the young lady at the counter could the bunnies be held or pet and she said yes. Soon as I go to pick up a bunny another lady who 1. Fails to even identify whom she is states Oh no you cant hold it, but you can pet it. So let me get this straight as a potential customer I cant hold an animal I'm potentially interested in?? So how many people go to buy a car and just purchase it right off the lot, no test drive? I'll wait... My point is every time I come into Pet Paradise I'm being told oh you can pet the bunnies or the ferrets but you cant hold them. Mind you I've seen "others," allowed to do just that. I've owned every animal mentioned previously in my 40+ years but it appears only certain people have the privilege here to actually interact with potential furbabies. Whelp they say word of mouth is the best form of marketing so figured I'd put the word out because it's a reoccurring theme I'm quite tired of and figured I'd let folks know about the fickle behavior of oh peep this the supposed manager who "Can Do what she wants," as I was told by the young lady behind the counter. Now last I checked a manager wasnt the owner but hey what do I know? I just need to find a better pet store with similar or BETTER options closer to me in Suffolk. Nobody buys cars without test driving, nobody adopts a dog without interacting, so why am I limited to petting a rabbit only and not holding it, but told oh you can hold it if your intentions is to buy one by the young lady behind the counter.. whew I could say so much but trust me I dont think I have to.

When we made it to the bird section, I was literally reaching for the sanitizer and the man demanded we put some on, and got mad at me for replying "I'm perfectly capable of reading " I'm new to the area ,and don't know if we will be returning to spend money in an establishment that acts as if they don't want you there. Super cute animals though!

I was not going to write a review but my experience there just hasn't sat well with me…read more I went in a couple days ago with my kids because I am looking at switching my dogs to a raw food diet. This place came highly recommended. We walked in the door and I was looking in a fridge. There was a dog in there with someone with a service dog harness on. My kids took a couple steps towards the dog (still about 6 feet away). The dog started barking and lunging at my kids. He was on a leash thank goodness. I yelled at my kids to come to me and yes when we got in the car I reiterated to them the important of not approaching random dogs and asking before trying to pet. I walked through the store to see what they had as I had never been there before. We walked back towards the front and I looked through other coolers they had. Making sure my kids stood by the front door as I did this. The dog started barking and freaking out again. I felt so uncomfortable and honestly worried about my kids safety that we just left. Never once did someone ask if they could help me, ask what I was looking for, maybe come up and apologize for the dog going nuts. It was just a bad experience. Let me end by saying I get every service dog has a different job and maybe protecting his owner is what his job is. But to react that aggressively and whoever was handling him sounded like they were having a hard time getting him to stop. That dog shouldn't be brought out in public. Seeing other customers walk in the dog should have been put in the back or taken out to the car or something.

Adorable Treat Heaven for Your Pup Okay... this place is…read moredangerously cute I stopped by Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming and immediately fell in love with how adorable everything was. The display of dog cookies alone is enough to pull you in -- they're decorated just like human cookie cutouts. Think birthdays, seasonal themes, and all kinds of fun designs that honestly look almost too cute to eat (almost ). They also had these mix-and-match treat bins where you can scoop different goodies by the ounce (around $1.25-$1.50), which I loved. I grabbed an assortment for Lexi so she can try a little bit of everything. I did ask if the treats were made in-house, and they said they're brought in (not made on-site), but still a great variety to choose from. The shop itself is small but super well put together -- they've got lick mats, little enrichment toys, collars, and even refrigerated food options. Plus, there's a grooming area in the back, so it's kind of a one-stop shop for your pup. Now... I have to be honest -- something went totally wrong with my camera that day My videos came out upside down, showing my feet half the time, and somehow my photos disappeared. So unfortunately, I'm posting this without pictures (which I hate doing). But honestly... this might just be your sign to go check it out for yourself. I'll definitely be back (and next time, I'm making sure my camera behaves ).

It was obvious that the new groomer was not happy which I made a comment about when we walked in. Our dog being a larger breed was having a hard time standing as he was sliding all over the floor. I asked about a towel/rug to help him from sliding and was told "we don't do that". We were asked to leave as it was better for our dog not to see us. We were not gone 5 minutes before receiving a call to say he was unstable and could not get on the table. Well no shit!! We have never had this problem in the past. They didn't even try!! For the $$$ they charge they should have tried something. Extremely disappointing.
