Molly, Halley and their new friend!
Amberly G.

Highly recommend Marlie for any of your dog care needs! I found her while browsing the web while planning our road trip through Oregon. Wanting to spend a day on Jerrys Rogue River boats, Marlie's pet care needs were exactly what we were looking for. She even picked up our pups at the boat dock and dropped them off at the end of the day! They enjoyed a great day and can't thank her enough for the love and care she showed our fur babies!

Henry having a blast with his friends at Petventures.

I can't say enough good things about Petventures. I was so apprehensive about where to board my puppy Henry who has never spent the night outside of my home. He has always being weary with strangers, yet Marley and her husband took the time to come and meet him at my home and also made themselves available to meet him a second time and allowed me (very worry-some mom) to visit their facilities to make sure my pup would be safe and happy there. Even more impressive is the fact that they replied to my last minute request and went out of their way to pick up my Henry a day earlier than what we had originally agreed. They sent me videos of my happy pup having the time of his life. They gave me peace of mind and sent me photos and updates...I could not be happier with how accommodating and how comfortable they have made me feel, which is absolutely priceless!

Achilles (morkie) quite possible the most deeply intrigueing pup lol

what Can I say about Marlie and Justin and Petventures? They are amazing and they treat my three dogs like they were family. Tupac, my yorkie, is best friends with their oldest little girl. Achilles, my morkie likes to keep to himself and away from the crowd, but feels compfortabe coming out of his shell at Petventures Daycare. Darla, my malshi, well she doesnt go as often but she is definitely made to feel like the rock star when she arrives. the pickup and drop off is so amazing, I could not do it, if it werent for that part of the service. They always look out for my pups and alert me to any concerns and when my days have gotten to hectic, they have bathed my pups and cut nails when they so desperately have needed it. They are phenomental. I cant say enough on this review. Beyond, highly recommend.

Beach Adventure!

Desperately needed service in the Brookings, Gold Beach Curry county area. Had to board our two dogs for the first time ever while we made a medical trip to Medford. Our 1 year old GSD/Flatcoat? X puppy, Shadow, adapted easily, but I was most worried about our 5 year old Skye, Tumble. Those who have seen her in dog group can understand. She acts out her fear with barking and lunging at ALL other dogs. Marlie went out of her way to reassure me, coming to our home to meet the dogs, meeting us for a first play date, letting me come and look at their grounds, taking them (with out us Yikes!) for a second play date, and for a trial overnight run. She sent texts, pictures and videos to keep us informed. Miracle of miracles both Shadow and especially Tumble adapted and had a good time. No trembling when Marlie came to pick them up for the 2 night stay. We trust them with our fur babies and so can you.

We've had no out-of-control barking incidents; he can be tethered and remain quiet. He's very good on walks, moving from "heel" to "break" and back to "heel" again. He's very responsive to the "off" command, which we use primarily to keep him off the furniture and out of the kitchen. Last week we had friends over for dinner and after his initial excitement he was a good boy, lying nearby content and chewing on a bone. We even attended the Humane Society Walk for Animals at Kit Carson Park, and with hundreds of dogs and people and non-stop activities, he was again a very well-behaved boy. We are so appreciative of the work that Michelle did with Monty. He is now the dog we always hoped he would be - happy, well-behaved, and living his best life!

Decided to go with the board and train to ensure she was set for success while away on a trip. I can tell you this place is legit, has the skills, and genuinely cares about their guests. First class service and great communication before/during/after. My puppy came in with minimal training and left a star. Sit, down, stay, leave it, more respect with the cats and my resident dog at home, and way more confidence. They have a family dog, there's kids and other family around, chickens, cats, and more to be exposed to + cuddles galore. I'm very happy with my choice. We'll be back for daycare weekly.

From the phone to drop-off they were excellent at staying in contact and making sure everything we needed was addressed. They kept that same level of communication and dedication during our furry friend's stay, which definitely made me comfortable and secure in leaving my dog there. When we picked up our dog, we were walked through everything that was worked on and were blown away. The progress was undeniable. Bark Busters came to us highly recommended. After some research and reviewing Ted Talk and…read morearticles, I signed up our two rescue mix breed ~20lb boys. We are grateful to James of BB who placed us with Jenna. Our boys issues: high reactivity outside, especially other dogs, and inside, door bell, ring cameras, etc. Coupled with greetings by jumping and owning the house. Jenna set us on a path of activities for inside and was incredibly patient letting me share and ask questions, learning constantly. As we fine-tuned and we all got more comfortable we moved our training to outside. The methodology used is absolutely amazing and, I dare say, short of a miracle. We practice regularly and introduce the boys to different circumstances. All that food luring and positive food reinforcement training certainly has its place but only the techniques of BB with Jenna has helped our boys become trusting, comfortable, and happy. Here I thought I had to scan the horizon constantly to be aware of incoming dogs to prepare myself to hide behind a car or go in the corner behind garbage cans to get maximum distance. Not true. I walk no longer with my head on a lazy susan. We all are forever grateful. Our boys can lead richer more social lives. Thank you!!!

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.

She was able to get him to follow commands that even surprised us (including getting him to "place" onto a picnic table). And by the end of the session, we walked him around and had zero issues with pulling or reactivity, even when there were dogs and kids nearby. It was impressive to see so much progress in such a short time. Throughout the process, she explained everything she was doing, including the specific steps AND the purpose. His energy level is even different. Much more manageable and he is still the happy goofy puppy we fell in love with. He listens to commands. He drops toys when told to do so. He stays on place when instructed to do so. His resource guarding is gone. I can walk him with the leash dangling from my pinky finger. No pulling. Bodhi is so much easier to love now, not that he wasn't before. He is an amazing companion and such a delight to play with now. The team at IQ K9 really took the time to get to know Bodhi. They shared things with me about his personality that I wasn't picking up on. I felt like they loved him as much as I do and they explained things to me in such a way that helped me understand Bodhi and myself (style of training) better.
