I have been taking my pets to Dr. Kim Dembinski at Paradise Valley Veterinary Hospital for a little…read moreover three years now, and have always received friendly, professional, and quality care from both her and her staff. She is wonderful with the animals... even with my half Maine Coon Cat, who turned into the "cat from hell" when at the vet's office. But this past weekend, she went above and beyond to save my dog's life. Dorothy had an emergency ultrasound which revealed a blockage in her intestine. The easy fix would have been surgery, but she is 12+ with heart/pulmonary issues, and there was no guarantee she would survive surgery. It was decided to double her fluids... also risky for her heart, but she could be monitored closely by an overnight ER. Knowing I cannot drive, Dr. D. drove Dorothy herself after closing her hospital, and brought the ER doctor up to snuff. By the next morning, Dorothy was defecating and eating, and by that evening, she was ready to come home. She is now totally back to normal! I cannot thank Dr. D enough for going the extra mile and doing what it took to save my girl's life!
