From the…read moreoutside this facility looked fantastic and I thought I found a great space for our puppy to board and do day care. I booked numerous times over a few months. I would pick my dog up and everything seemed fine. The last time I went to pick up my 7 month olds puppy from boarding, I parked my car and was walking by the fenced play area (which you can't see through). As I walked by, I could clearly hear my dog barking as she is young, just discovered her bark, and probably smelled me. As I walked by, I heard VERY CLEARLY (management) the staff in the yard say in a frustrated voice to one of the dogs (better not have been my dog) "shut the fuck up or im going to kick you". I was furious walking in to pick Kira up and asked the front desk who was out there with my dog stating RESPECTFULLY that if she was threatening my dog like that they needed to bring that staff member out so I could speak to her directly. Front desk said they would speak to her and get there manager. I stated that if she was speaking to my dog I WOULD be speaking with her. Speaking to the manager, he stated that that was out of character for the staff member and that sometimes people get frustrated working with dogs. I left after thanking the manager for hearing what I had to say but not feeling heard whatsoever. The manager texted me a day later not to follow up on that, but to follow up on training I had inquired on. I thoroughly expressed my concerns to him via text, and how concerned I was for the treatment of the animals in there care with these kinds of threats openly in ear shot of customers (what happens behind closed doors?). I never received a response and never received a follow up. That was now weeks ago. My question is, WHY WOULD I MAKE THAT UP? We never had any issues prior boarding our dog there or dropping off for day care, never complained before etc. This was a genuinely shocking experience and I was in disbelief. I would urge you to pick somewhere else. No animal deserves to be threatened like that, empty threat or not.

I am truly amazed and so grateful for Don, Gabe, and the team at Crafty Canine Club. They have a ton of certified experience and have done fantastic behavioral modification work with my French Bulldog (and myself) in their board and train programs. I have learned to be a better leader for my dog and how to keep him mentally balanced so he's at his best. The structure of the training programs and regular boarding at CCC are solid and well planned so our furry family can learn and have fun in a safe environment while in the care of strong leadership. A bonus in my particular case; CCC techniques are aligned with what is recommended by my board certified vet behaviorist and was covered by my pet insurance. CCC communicates with me openly and regularly before, during, and after any bookings and will send photos and videos of the fun which helped ease my thoughts in the beginning. Now, I will only use CCC for care and follow up training for my boy. I believe they truly care about him and our relationship. A very small investment for huge lifelong returns you won't regret!

No need to asses our dogs until we are clear we want them to stay there, right? It's a "requirement" that we all know the boss can easily accomodate. We let them know with our 4 large breed dogs it was a lot on ourselves AND the dogs to have to bring them in just for that (if it wasnt a good fit). They didnt care. Just sent another business to go to if I wanted a "phone consult" which was unusual(&manipulative :/) because we never discussed phone consults..all we wanted was to come take a peak at their facilities. It was the male who's voice is on their answering machine whom we communicated with. I think his name was Dan? Aweful & too bad;).

He's helped train many, many dogs (even some former dogs of my own because they were taking me for walks when it very well should be me taking them for walks)! Long story short, after a couple training sessions (for both myself and the dogs), they now both walk by your side and do pretty well off leash! Yay ... And ~ not only that but Hector reinstates the training in their weekly camp visits too! What I love about camp is the team truly does it all! The dogs get exercise by going on walks, hikes, or even bicycle rides & they also get play time in the kiddie pool. Hector really does an amazing job of making your dogs feel right at home! Your dog is always in good hands with The Bark House team. I couldn't recommend another company more. If you're looking to hire a trainer, for someone to watch your dog for an overnight stay(s), or even just say camp ~ the Bark House is truly your one stop shop. Give them a try! I finally texted after waiting a day for a return call. The excuse was that she was having phone difficulties!!! Don't believe that one! When I did call, after leaving 2 emails, Laura answered. She told me that my dog did not need to come for an evaluation which I thought was odd as most boarding facilities require that to make sure your dog gets along with others. Was told that she would contact me a few days before hand and never did, that's when I started calling, and texting. Upon arrival as a first time customer their was no direction as to how to even enter the facility. So here I am in the drive way texting again to let them know I'm here. A young girl came out, barely spoke to me, told her it was my first time and could I see where he will be sleeping. She had to go ask! Another person comes out and lets me in. He shows me the crates and I was so disappointed. Crates lined up along a dark filthy room. Smelled, dirty, dog hair everywhere! I should of left but I was in a bind as we were leaving first thing in the am and I had no backup! A week later I picked him up and again texting to let them know I was there. My dog came home filthy, smelled and half of his food was still in his container which obviously was left outside as it was covered in dirt. Your website and other reviews say that you send pictures throughout their visit, I received nothing! I also feel that as a first time customer that the owner would at least greet me at some point. Very poor business etiquette
