Our family loves Aspire Dog Training. We put our dog Nesta through the dog training course in Poway and were very impressed by the methodology and results. They are great with all types of dogs, patient and very informative. We would highly recommend Aspire Dog Training. Thank you Paul and Britta for the service you provide!

    Walking at Lake Murray.

Paul and Britta are wonderful. Their knowledge and experience are invaluable especially with reactive dogs, such as mine. They have helped with her being able to walk and not be so reactive, making life better for all of us!

Wonderful facilities and best of all, Spaulding and Britta really listen to my concerns and work together in getting me to understand how to work with my dog in ways he understands. When there are slippages in his behavior Paul patiently shows me how my body language was conflicting what my words said. Instead of helping my dog to be obedient I was confusing him. Quick fix when I got it right.

Our rescue German Shepherd mix is the cutest guy but a LOAD of trouble. He was destroying furniture, bullying our terrier mix, and wreaking havoc on our lives all due to his anxiety and lack of direction. Walking him was a nightmare because he tried to lunge at every passing dog. We met up with Paul at their Ramona training center to get 1:1 obedience training and it was amazing. We had been to a group training elsewhere but hadn't seen much change. This time, each session gave us so much valuable and applicable support. Paul had us practice everything on the spot so he could give pointers and feedback. They also invited us to bring our terrier to a session so they could help us facilitate healthier interactions with them both. This all led to a much calmer home life and much smoother and more enjoyable walks. Britta is great with quick and clear communications and helpful information. They really brought back our joy with Doobie.

I can't say enough about Aspire. I really wish I knew about them years ago!!! We started going to them for dog training and they have done a wonderful job with our full or life stubborn Bull Terriers! We then had to go out of town and kenneled our 4 dogs. Britta and Paul treat your dogs like theirs. I got pictures and updates everyday. The kennel they stayed in was like a bed and breakfast. Had music playing and was huge and clean. They truly are the best kennel/training for my dogs I have ever been. If you don't want to worry about your dogs if you have to kennel or you need to excellent dog trainers, I highly recommend Aspire!

Wasn't the greatest groomers. My old English sheepdog had patches around his coat and his legs looked rugged and unclean.

Bark Busters came to us highly recommended. After some research and reviewing Ted Talk and…read morearticles, I signed up our two rescue mix breed ~20lb boys. We are grateful to James of BB who placed us with Jenna. Our boys issues: high reactivity outside, especially other dogs, and inside, door bell, ring cameras, etc. Coupled with greetings by jumping and owning the house. Jenna set us on a path of activities for inside and was incredibly patient letting me share and ask questions, learning constantly. As we fine-tuned and we all got more comfortable we moved our training to outside. The methodology used is absolutely amazing and, I dare say, short of a miracle. We practice regularly and introduce the boys to different circumstances. All that food luring and positive food reinforcement training certainly has its place but only the techniques of BB with Jenna has helped our boys become trusting, comfortable, and happy. Here I thought I had to scan the horizon constantly to be aware of incoming dogs to prepare myself to hide behind a car or go in the corner behind garbage cans to get maximum distance. Not true. I walk no longer with my head on a lazy susan. We all are forever grateful. Our boys can lead richer more social lives. Thank you!!!

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.

Decided to go with the board and train to ensure she was set for success while away on a trip. I can tell you this place is legit, has the skills, and genuinely cares about their guests. First class service and great communication before/during/after. My puppy came in with minimal training and left a star. Sit, down, stay, leave it, more respect with the cats and my resident dog at home, and way more confidence. They have a family dog, there's kids and other family around, chickens, cats, and more to be exposed to + cuddles galore. I'm very happy with my choice. We'll be back for daycare weekly.

From the phone to drop-off they were excellent at staying in contact and making sure everything we needed was addressed. They kept that same level of communication and dedication during our furry friend's stay, which definitely made me comfortable and secure in leaving my dog there. When we picked up our dog, we were walked through everything that was worked on and were blown away. The progress was undeniable. They will tell you what worked, what didn't, and make sure to work with you to plan for you pet's future needs. 10/10. I can't think of taking any of my puppy or senior dog anywhere else.
