We have been taking our miniature Australian Shepard, Remy, to Jen since she was fully vaccinated at 6 months. We first did the AKC puppy training with Tay. Tay is amazing at teaching our puppy and training us because let's be honest you're really training the owners. With her guidance we were able to have more meaningful and positive training interactions with our puppy. Our puppy also LOVES daycare whether it is the VIP or private daycare. Our grand pup Thor the Conqueror had CCL knee surgery back in July and Jen Loves Pets saved us. Her team stepped in during his recovery and handled his PT, walking, and mobility exercises while we were at work. Their professionalism, was outstanding. They use a portal to document everything they do with the pet they are visiting and even take the most adorable pictures. If we had any questions or concerns they got right back to us to reassure us and adjust the routine to meet ours and Thor's needs. During the last part of his recovery we added some training for him. He gets a little crazy at the door and back fence and we were afraid he could injure his other knee. Without hesitation we received a visit from the training team and it took off from there. Now that he is better, he is returning home to LA this weekend and will be sad to no longer be seeing his besties. I didn't have a good experience with JenLovesPets at all. My disappointment is with both the quality of service and the lack of consideration and regard for the customer needs. Overall, Jennifer from JenLoves Pets appeared very nice and charming on the first meet and greet visit, which is why we hired them, however I am greatly disappointed with the experience once I became a customer. We have two dogs, a 3 year old male and 11 year old female, both are mixed breeds. A few times the walkers didn't show up within the scheduled window of time, they were either earlier than 10:30 or later than 2:30. That made my older, 11 year old, female dog pee inside the house since she couldn't hold it. To my disappointment Jennifer didn't feel a bit of remorse, simply her response was that they had a busy day. A few times, Jennifer had to send her son to walk our 2 dogs, due to no other walker availability. Our male dog can be a bit choosy with people, so her son was not able to leash him and take him out for a walk. When I asked her to please try to send another walker in the future, anyone other than her son was ok with our male dog, she said no, and that she wanted to train her son with our dog. I was not given an option or a choice at all. Well, it took her son 3 times to be able to leash and walk our male dog out. In the meantime, he had to let the dogs out in our back yard, where I asked them to please spray the grass after the dogs did their business. Unfortunately, on one occasion her son forgot to turn off the hose, so it ran for a few hours before we got home. Again, Jennifer had no remorse for any of it. On another occasion, when I forgot to schedule less than 48 hours in advance, she invoiced me the extra $ fee without giving me an advance notice. She was again uncompromising in her response. She did cancel the service, but still wanted to charge me the extra fee. So, not only that I didn't get service, but I was supposed to pay the extra fee. Jennifer immediately resorted to quote the contract and that I should have basically known better. Unfortunately, I had forgotten that part of the contract, and she never reminded me until it was too late and she insisted that I pay her anyway. Jennifer seemed to stick to the letter of the contract only when it benefits her, and does not like to be held accountable for following the contract herself. When I brought up the fact that she didn't follow the agreed upon walk time, which I thought was already plenty wide, 10:30-2:30, she got mad and immediately cancelled our account altogether. She didn't address the issue of her not being able to follow the schedule at all. She left us without a walker for the next 3 days that caused some disruptions in my husband's and my schedule, since we both work out of the house. Overall, not a pleasant experience and I would not recommend JenLovesPets services. They are not reliable, and Jennifer does 't treat the customers with respect. read more

I can't believe it took us this long to join the Jen Loves Pets family. I had them bookmarked for a few years, but could never bring myself to call because we were a bit apprehensive about giving someone access to our home. Our schedules forced our hand, and I just wish I had signed up long ago. The process to sign up is easy breezy. Once that's done, Jen comes over for a meet and greet. She is so personable and sweet. I was put at ease immediately, as were our pups. The $10 meet and greet fee is applied to your first visit, so don't worry about that. We've had 3 different sitters in the past few months, but they have all been amazing. They send an email update right after the visit with pictures attached. We haven't had a single issue. The prices are extremely reasonable, and if you're anything like me, and do everything last minute, they will accommodate you too. It costs just a tad extra, but well worth it when you're in a bind. read more

JLP!! I love you! I learned about JLP from a friend who was getting daily workday dog walks. I started to call her when I needed her in a pinch - my old job liked to announce that we were doing things, like going to baseball games, with zero notice. Things like that. She always came through. She even left adorable diary entries of what she and my doggie did. Fast forward to almost a year and a half later. I have another dog now, and was moving back to JLP's territory. Our dog is not easy. She is wary of strangers. So we went through our meet and greet process, as we had to do with our previous dog walker. JLP is just so good with dogs. And they truly love her! They have a very nice website and sophisticated system online where you can request service directly for specific dates and times and may payments online too. She's a local business person who started the company after a career reinvention, something I personally relate to. I hope the actual dog sitting will be as great as the sign-up process! My experience was not as good as others. We were gone for three weeks and during that time, we had six different people come and work with the dogs. My neighbors tell me that sometimes they brought a friend. I have three pairs of Maui Jim sun glasses that I use. I brought two on vacation, and when I returned the pair that I left was missing. I mentioned the glasses to Jen, but she didn't comment. Since there were so many visitors, I am not sure what to do. It has been four months, and finally I am writing this review. Also, when I returned the house looked like the dogs were there alone. It was not very clean, but not super messy either. I had to vacuum and clean the floors. I know the sitters came, because I could see them enter with a video feed. I would not do this again. With the unknown of where my glasses are and the house not being clean, just seems like boarding them for such a long time would have been much better. read more

To set the stage, I had used this service a few times and had scheduled Jen for over the holidays, including NYE, and because I expressed that I hadn't been completely satisfied with the service she abruptly cancelled all my upcoming service and left me hanging with no one to watch my pets over the holidays. Very, very unprofessional! They certainly provided lots of pictures of my cats while they were pet sitting, however, they spent more time on their phones taking pictures and writing their report and they didn't pay as much attention to the cats. So if you want a service where they just take lots of pictures rather than spend quality time with your pets, then this may be the service for you. However, be advised to carefully read the cancellation policy - as I was billed for services I didn't get not realizing that even though it was cancelled I was still being charged. read more

Jen and her team are absolutely amazing! My husband and I went out of town for almost two weeks and their awesome system of daily email updates really put us at ease about leaving our three cats home alone. It was great being able to hear a little about our cats while we were on vacation and to know they were being properly attended. We have used other services in the past and had less-than-stellar experiences, with kitty vomit and pee left around the house. They were obviously not being taken care of! But with Jen and her team, from the meet and greet to the last day, we were confident that our babies were loved while we were away. Their pricing is competitive and for what great device they offer, it's a deal! We will absolutely be calling Jen when we next leave town! UPDATE: We have used Jen Loves Pets and her team several more times since first posting, and I wish I could add more stars!!! The whole team is wonderful, each person has sent us an extensive daily review with pictures of our kittens attached. We have three cats, and each day, each team member who visits makes the effort to send us at least one picture of each cat. We're a little high maintenance about our pet care and left a full typed page of detailed instructions and EACH TEAM MEMBER has taken the time to read it and update us on which items they accomplished on their visit. This place is a gem! First steps with our puppy such as socialization, some commands and behaviors were so important and helpful to get in place to have an easier time with our dog. We had previous experience, with different dogs we had, with different trainer, but the combination of, Tay, Zoom class and in class dog socialization is brilliant. We took our puppy, Luna, to S.T.A.R puppy course, and Tay in a positive, kind and patient guidance, has helped us shape Luna to a much relaxed, well behaved puppy. As puppy gets so easily distracted, it always good to start with minimal distractions, and add some, once behavior is established, so working from home in Zoom, was an excellent idea, which also left us more time, to communicate with Tay, ask her many questions - to all we got answers. The place where puppies get to socialize, is super clean, you get to see the puppies in video in Zoom, and see how well they manage it. I called on Tuesday morning to see if Jen had any room for the fluff tornado at playtime. Unfortunately (for me), Jen gives all the dogs a temperment test and meets with the pet parents first, goes over expectations, paperwork, shot records, food, allergies, crating, potty, shot records, and well, I had to go to work, so we set a time for that evening. What can I say? She's a safety girl. First impressions? The house and yard are clean clean clean which is amazing because if I ran a Doggie Day Care out of my home, my family would probably call Hoarders on me. Jen is a lovely woman, very friendly and obviously loves what she does. We went over my expectations while Doodles was having his temperment test (insanity play time). Jen is very well qualified. She obviously loves what she does and just recently has been lucky enough to be able to do it full time. She also trains the dogs in her care! She has a very soothing voice and rewards good behavior with lovies and the occasional treat. Doodles was not only exhausted when he got home, but I think he might be completely housebroken as well! Jenlovespets is hands down the best pet service on the area. Her staff is friendly and amazing with the animals. Scheduling is super easy through the app as well as the website. Response time is amazing. They always go above and beyond to meet all of my and my pets needs. I am active duty navy with very long days and a super erratic schedule; I have never once had a problem. While I try my best to reschedule with as much notice as possible, the military isn't always as accommodating as I would like with regards to advanced notice. Best pet sitter ever!! Jen has been sitting for our two doggies for the past four years. One of your dogs needed someone he could learn to trust so Jen spent time getting to know him. Jen is very dog savy and didn't push him. Within a few weeks she became his best friend! Now whenever I tell him Auntie Jen is coming to take care of him he gets excited....party time!! Our other dog is a princess and hates it when we get out the suitcases. It takes her a day to realize Jen is going to take excellent care of her. But she adjusts and loves Jens special care.
