####### UPDATED REVIEW ############ I can honestly say that my opinion of PestNow has changed and that is because of the prompt and curtious response from management members and the gentlemen, Darryl, that came out for the second look. Like any product or service a true test to any company is their customer service and strength of their name. The initial phone representative painted PestNow in an ugly color that management was quick to offer the opportunity to correct their mistake or gladly refund. I'd rather not take money out of peoples pockets and prefer a second chance to reflect on Yelp as well. I would recommend using PestNow to anyone and let them know if there is an issue - do not be afraid to raise concern, they will listen. Now for my critiques that still stand - TRAINING! Invest in your people PestNow. It's a shame to have workers enter a home and nonchalantely spray the doors, and perimenters with a 'good enough' outlook and most importantly your call center! This is the first person we speak with when there is a problem. Offer a compassionate ear and try to reach a resolution. Way to Step it up! - 4 star review - See Grade Below: Initial Setup: 5 stars ***** - Setup was simple and over the phone. Marketing was through a New Home Owner's Welcome book. Times were convienient and in a reasonable window (I believe 2hr window). Great job here Timeliness: 5 stars - Representative phoned ahead and made it within their time window. I don't like lateness so great job. Cost: 3.5 stars - Not the least expensive. Make sure you have a coupon (do your homework) and it's not the highest price. I believe the service price could best at $125 but I get that everyone needs to earn a living. Value: 3.5 stars - I toggled with this one because I'm meshing the initial review with the correction. So 2 stars and 5 stars mesh to 3.5. I think for this the right person is what makes or breaks the value. You can have someone go above & beyond or meets the status quo. The first person sprayed the exterior bases of the doors and around the perimeter. Call me if you see any problems within 90 days. The second person was very customer focused and asked how I was doing, congrats on the new place and where can I start, do you need any time to vacate a room last? I can start in the basement - It was a very 'all about you' and I like that. Plus the rooms were sprayed properly :-) - Oh and I like that they wear the booties too! Customer Service: 3 stars. I'll start again by saying- I did NOT like the phone rep that said wait 7 days before we send someone back out. Thank goodness management picked up the ball and offered a second service or refund along with the compassion and understanding of reading the initial review. Their level of care should reach all the way to the members they hire and train because I really want to give 4 stars here because what management did was fantastic and they care, but your employees reflect your company so this grade is for PestNow as a whole. Change the way you train your employees - It will reflect in your reviews. This is the number one thing I look at when buying products/services. Overall 20/25 stars = 4 **** average. I thought it was going to be a 3 star because I do feel A-OK over Yay! I'm a fan, but the graded weight stands. Had the guy do the interior and exterior of the property. I come down this morning and I still see spider webs and poked the spider. Still alive. I called customer support 877-284-2466, and was told that the treatment takes seven to take effect and they will not send someone back out until after seven days. My friends use GreenStar and the their team cleans out the spiderwebs, goes through your entire house to tell you where you have a pest issue and treat. I didn't go with GreenStar because I figured they're all the same and why not go the cheaper route. I saved $15. That's it. $150 is what GreenStar was gonna charge for my 4,000 sq ft house and then set me up with a monthly plan. PestNow charged $185 however there was a $50 flier. Save your money and use GreenStar for the initial and then go on Amazon to buy the spray they use for the exterior of your home or continue with GreenStar. Don't go with PestNow. Unless you like to yelp about disappointments and have $185/$135 to burn ;) read more

*** updated review from 1 to 3 stars there must have been some miscommunication and we were set up for a quarterly contract they waived the charge and cancelled the contract within 20 mins of this review so customer service was good and prompt , will try them again in the future and update to 4 stars if service remains good***had them treat my house once and never signed up for a quarterly treatment program. Came home to a invoice on my door for a treatment I never authorized or set up. Furthermore the invoice said used web buster to break up spider webs on my house. I inspected and there are spider webs still. So you do a "treatment " I never authorized and then don't even do said treatment. read more

I called PestNow last week to explain ants problem in my lawn. The sales person told me that they definitely can help me with that and told me that there's 90 days guarantee with the price he quoted me. I had high hopes for what he promised because we are out working in the yard a lot and ants crawl up on our shoes and they are all over our yard. The technician came out today and told us that they don't spray the lawn anymore and they would only spray trees and shrubs but he would spray my lawn this time. He also said the chemical they used would only help with mosquitos and ticks but not ants. I appreciate his honesty. However there's a huge gap between the sales person and the technician. This company is not giving me a sense of trust. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I've had Pest Now for the last decade at 2 different homes for my termite warrantees and general pest management. If I ever have an issue, I call and am almost always able to have a technician out to my house the very next day. For my regular treatments, I always have the same technician which I appreciate and I even have his cell number in case of questions. When my mother saw a mouse at her house, she had them come by and they were prompt, walked her through her options and helped her resolve her issue. Highest ratings in my book. read more

when we sold our house earlier this year the buyer had a pest inspection done. They found some carpenter bees in the deck superstructure and gave me a quote to exterminated them. My realtor recommended that I get a quote from Pest Now. Their price was 1/3 of the amount I was originally given! They arrived on time, were clean and polite and did a great job. I have since contracted them for quarterly treatments at my new house, and once again their price was excellent and they are doing a great job. I highly recommend them! read more

Do not use these guys they are scam artists. They did a home inspection while I was selling my home and completely exaggerated the situation (they noted termites) just so they can extort their services, as they don't make money on a $39 inspection fee. We had termites 20 years ago in our home, they saw some remnants from termites from 20 years ago, and they made a huge ordeal over this. Pest Now also alleged all kinds of structural damage, we engaged a licensed building contractor to review and they concluded that there was no damage and no remediation was required. Not ethical, dishonest, they look for ways to scam homeowners, do not use them, bad people. See other low reviews, they have a history of scamming people. . read more

I have been using PestNow for the 3rd year in a row. If I thought I wasn't getting my money's worth, I would have not been a loyal customer. These guys know their pests (cockroaches and mice have been my primary problem pests) and know how to treat them. The first two years of service have been focused on treating active presence of cockroaches. The third year has focused on mouse control as cockroaches have been largely controlled. Their customer service is on point! I call (probably a couple times a month) and they send someone out within 24 hours -- every time! We have been using them since March of this year and will continue to do so. We originally found them on Living Social and got a steal. Their exterminators (we have had two different guys) are professional, knowledgeable (and I ask a TON of questions), friendly and patient. Jonathan and another guy (I feel bad I can't remember his name because he is so nice) are awesome. My insect problems included: ants; centipedes; and daddy long-legs. - Still see them, but much fewer and less often. read more

Pest Now is incrEdibly awful at customer service and performance of duty! They came to my house on a cold day in January to do a termite inspection for a buyer VA loan. No termites . He found two very small holes in a chemically treated board under my deck. He administered a powder treatment. Total fee:$39 for coming and $185 for the powder. Really?? Powder treatment in 30 degrees? Really?? No active bees of course. Hole was 1/4 inch and stopped by the board. HOW RIDICULOUS!!! This was not legit!! And they would not say the deck was sound after checking a "bee box" on buyers loan doc. Really??!!! Refused to refund my money. Had to hire a legit pest company to resolve the issue professionally. I spoke with Bobby Johnson and he refused to hear my point of view. This company is not customer friendly and inspector out to make a buck. Shop around!!! read more

On time, went right to work walking thru my home and sprayed. Very professional and discussed with us the process going forward. We are getting quartely service becasue we believe inside maintenance will keep us free from outside pests. Love the fact they spray outside the home in an effort to combat the problem. Pests Now sent an inspector out to inspect a property under contract on March 19, 2021 following an appointment made by a buyer's agent. the inspector then emailed me a couple of photos showing perhaps a 1 inch of red dirt between the joist and the concrete foundation stating that was evidence of termite infestation. He then quoted a treatment would cost $795.00. I knew upon inspecting the photos that they were not concrete evidence revealing termite infestation. So I asked the inspector if he has found any other evidence such hollow rotted wood or wings. He said no but the photos were enough evidence of termite invasion. He also quickly got slightly defensive throwing his 14 years of experience at me, to which I told him that I have seen a fair share of termite infestation in my 18 years of real estate experience. Upon telling him that I would get a second opinion on inspection, he followed up with a text saying that he would treat the infestation at a reduced cost of $685.00. All of this interaction took place within an hour or so. Two things bothered me the most about this whole experince. First, I do not mind allowing drilling into concrete foundation if there were real and concrete evidence of termite infestation. Speaking from my personal home renovation experience as a contractor, I find unnecessary drilling into foundation of a home troubling as it may create paths for future water penetration. Second, I found it troubling that he would reduce the treatment cost quickly upon learning that I would get a second opinion. Might I add that the emailed photos showing the same spot that has been examined over a few times by Terminex in the past years. I have since received a clean inspection report as a second opinion from another company a week later. So my suspicion on this whole scam was right on. Upon digging through all the positive reviews for the company on yelp, I came across one bad review dated back in 2019 from a seller who fell for the same scam from Pests Now. This reviewer even posted a similar photo showing 1 inch of dirt as evidence of termite infestaion. Sadly, this reviewer (presumably a seller) did not know he/she could have gotten a second opinion. I hope that home owners know that they can get a second opinions especially in a real estate transaction, if the inspector refused to render additional concrete evidence genuinely demonstration infestation. Do not allow drilling into your home unnecessary. Of course, I would steer clear of Pests Now for inspection from now on. read more

Update on the services provided by Pest Now of Virginia: I have to say that the customer service is phenomenal!! Since my last review, I spoke to the manager, who was very understanding and concerned of my needs. It's been one year, and I have to say that I'm very pleased with their services. Whenever I see a bug in my house, ants, or what have you, I give them a call, and their schedule is very flexible. I trust them to remember to call me 15-30 minutes to arrival, and the staff is always on point! I'm glad I stayed with Pest Now, and I hope to stay with them for many years to come. read more

GREAT COMPANY!!! This was my first time ever using a pest control company, I've been having a problem with spiders in my house. The Tech called and asked if he could come early, no problem. He was very nice, did not try to upsell me anything and charged me the $100 quoted price from the office with a coupon. the only thing that I didn't like was they had me in the system for another spray in 3 months. The tech told me there was no contact so all I have to do is call and tell them not to come, not a big deal. Well its been about a week sense he was here an no spiders! We had ants at our previous home and the technician came out, sprayed indoors and outdoors, showed us where they were probably coming in (we trimmed some trees back) and they were right. No more ants! We moved to a new home, same issue, except they were coming in at the bottom of the deck. The technician found the trail and took care of. We use them quarterly now and no issues. We've been using PestNow since we purchased our home two years go. Our technician is very polite and listened when I told him about our recent concerns with ants crawling up to our deck. He efficiently checked and replaced the bait boxes and sticky boards in our garage and basement. I used Pest Now several times to address bugs in my basement and they were okay. However, when the issue in my basement became mice, PestNow actually made the problem WORSE. All they do is put down bait boxes with poison, and sticky traps. So mice come into your home, eat the poison and die of thirst in your home. Not once, ever, did the technician attempt to find and seal possible entry points. This was their only offered method to address my mouse problem. When I talked to a supervisor at the business, he said if they could get rid of all the mice, they'd be out of business. He also blamed mice in my county on the local restaurants. I changed exterminators. I cannot recommend PestNow. read more

Worst company out there. I called them for a typical home inspection that is required when selling a home. We knew there were no termites and have never had any issue of termites. There was some rotting wood due to rain damage at our garage door which the inspector stated was termite damage. Because this was on a report we had to then pay for remediation by them. Which since there were no termites was a joke. I even tried to talk to the inspector stating it was not termite damage, we pulled the piece of wood off and it was wet, no bugs. I used the promotional inspection cost and obviously the goal for this company is to give you a problem so you have to pay more. A year later they are sending emails that my warranty will expire. I sold the house so I don't care. We never had termites and I'm sure there never will be at that house. Would not recommend. read more

Not impressed. Their first person who came out a few months ago wouldn't help at all with sealing entry points, or even pointing out where entry points (for mice or bugs) might be. And beware of the '3 month service plan' they advertise, where they come out quarterly to spray for free: Today, they wouldn't honor it: The last treatment I paid for was on 10/29/19, and so by any honest measure, that means I've paid for 3 months of service, through 1/29/20, for them to do a follow-up treatment for free, as they advertise. But they go 'by month' and not exact date; apparently, they count 3 months as October, November, and December, even though my treatment was on 10/29, at the end of October. How shady! I bought a new house in Fairfax and didn't learn until settlement that it had termites and had been treated. Prev owner used Pest Now so I called them back to discuss, re-treat and better understand. They've been right on top of things, having a manager out since they'd need to drill by a gas appliance to treat again for termites. I signed up for the regular service and have called them many times in the first month of owning this place - various bees nests around the outside of the house that they removed, and once to retreat after we power-washed the side of the house (assuming I'd removed the chemicals). They're always friendly and helpful and never hassle me about how often I call when I see a bug OUTside since that's the reason to have the regular contract! read more
