I had heard about Persy's Place for years, and finally decided to try it. It was NOT worth the wait. They definitely have an extensive menu, making it hard to decide what to order. I stuck to a simple omelette with sides of toast and home fries. I don't know if it was the odd lighting, but the food appeared to have a gray tint, making it look very unappetizing. The potatoes were barely cooked and flavorless. Overhearing the waitress apologize to another customer due to a complaint about their food did not help our experience. read more

I finally had an excellent breakfast here at Persy's after hearing about it for many years. They have fantastic coffee and a massive menu, said to actually be New England's largest breakfast menu, full of quality dishes. It being my first time here I opted for Persys' Pancake Sampler, a choice of two pancakes served with eggs, and a choice of sausage and bacon or ham steak. Lastly they gave us a free 1/2 lb cornbread loaf coupon for next time. I was impressed and I'll certainly be back for more. read more

The past two times I've been to Percy's place has been very good I have had Erica and Rebecca as waitresses. I recently learned that they were sisters and I think that's fabulous. Great food great service. I will be back. However I would like nondairy milk. read more

One of my besties and I went on a Friday in mid-March for the St. Patrick's Day specials. We both got the Lucky Charms Hot Chocolate which was delish. (I swore I would return for it again but alas did not.) She got one of the specials and I got the 3 crepes; good thing I got 3 as they were delish and I was hungry! Service was good overall, however, slow to get the check. I enjoy this restaurant due to their semi-private booths, location (was 5-6 mins from my office), and mutliple breakfast and lunch offerings. read more

I was contacted by Percy's as a followup to a less than flattering review I had given. It was genuine in that there were apologies to my service and appeared to be a true concern in my negative experience. I was also assured it would be better if I re-visited. Since then I did in fact return twice and on both occasions I was very satisfied with the service and food I ordered. I guess we all can have a bad day. read more

We went here one week ago; here are my thoughts: Ambience: It was freezing!! It wasn't very cold out on that day, but there was a cold draft that literally left me shivering. There was a deck of cards on the table which was pretty raggedy. Price: Meal one: French toast and scrambled eggs, small oj, and coffee Meal two: French toast, sausage, and orange juice. Meal three (Children's menu): Chocolate chip pancakes with a side of fruit, kids oj Final price 41.00 not including tip is unreasonable for what we ordered. Food Quality: Orange juice had seeds in it Children's menu pancakes were three HUGE pancakes which would gave been way too much for me as an adult, nevermind for a child. I hate throwing out food but we couldn't finish it. It didnt come with a side either. The french toast was mediocre. Staff: Our waitress was nice enough but she seemed to be running herself ragged! I hate seeing servers being overworked. The bill took way too long to come out and to be processed. Overall I dont think we'll be going back for a while. read more

I like Persey's Place and can't argue with the service in Kingston. I have to say I've had a better breakfast before. I went in for Bacon, Eggs and Sausage and Home Fries and pancakes. The meal was okay but sausage was rubbery and the home fries were undercooked. I had just worked a 16 hour overnight shift so I was happy to have a hot breakfast but eh, I wasn't really impressed. read more

I've been to this Persy's location on 2 separate occassions with a large party (6-8 adults & 2-4 young children). This location has very limited seating and it appears any party of 6+ will end up waiting a minimum of 20 minutes for a table to be put together. My first trip was decent over a year ago. This is in regards to a very recent trip in July 2014. Their parking situation is terrible. The parking basically represents their seating availability. If you see their lot is full, it likely means there's a wait for any table. Seating, as I noted, for a party of 7 adults & 3 kids (2 high chairs) too 20-30 minutes to be seated. We were seated in the same location as my previous trip here, which is in a back room and in very tight quarters. So I will say this is clearly not a good Group Breakfast option. I will say the staff is VERY nice and our waitress was constantly checking on our table. Coffee/drinks did come immediately. That being said, my entire party was then served their orders...except for myself. I had to bring it to the waitresses attention that I still did not receive my order. I was soon there after brought a side of 2 pancakes that came with my special. Two large but "crunchy" pancakes. I really have no clue HOW you make a pancake as stiff as these two were. I didn't end up even touching them after making a difficult first bite. About 10 minutes later I received my order (nothing over the top - scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns cornbread) but the entire plate was lacking in any sort of flavor. Their sausage was bland, the hash browns looked like they were rushed off the stove and the eggs were extraordinarily dry. Worst of all was the grilled corn bread. On my previous trip there, it was excellent, but this time it was the worst thing on the plate. Not sure if they made an unfortunate change to their recipe or it was just a bad batch. Again this review has nothing to do with their staff who was very courteous while we waited & were served. It just wasn't worth the wait for the food & seating situation. read more

I have had breakfast at Percy's in Mashpee multiple times. The food is wonderful. I was at Percy's in Kingston and could not believe how terrible the food was. The omelette and the home fries were grilled in what tasted like old used oil. I had a couple of bites and could not eat any more .The egg did not even look like an egg, it was brown. My friend had fish cakes that were pretty fishy tasting I was quite surprised that the waitress did not take the omelette off my bill. If I wasn't with a new date, I would have demanded that it be taken off my bill. You will not be seeing either one of us at Percy's in Kingston. By the way, he lives in Kingston. Awesome. I ate here for breakfast as a kid and I recently went back after about a decade of absence. It's as good as I remember. Huge... no, ENORMOUS breakfast portions. The Eggs Oscar is a major WIN and I highly recommend it. What's better than lobster? Lobster for breakfast. read more

We go here about once a week. Good is always yummy. Service is always decent. I love the maple walnut waffles. They had on special once bacon bits cooked inside so now I ask for it & they always accommodate. The pancake plates are huge so plan to split or take some home! read more

My first experience was okay, but the last subsequent experiences have been lackluster enough to take to yelp to write about. 1) Parking - Persy's does not have enough parking to accomodate their restaurant. People doublepark outside and you can very easily get trapped. 2) We went on a Sunday morning around 11am. We expected it to be popular. We did not anticipate a *35* minute wait. 3) When we were seated, we were greeted by the drink "server" who brought us coffee and water asap....however our waitress took another 15 minutes to come take our order. Been here many times before covid. Went during covid this afternoon. Here's how it went; Came home for the weekend to say by to my brother before he goes back to school, show up to the restaurant at 11:00am for a brunch with my girlfriend and brother. I am told there's a 20 minute wait, totally fine, we go for a lap to downtown plymouth and back. Don't get the call that they're ready until 11:40, little frustrated about the timing, then they call me "Colleen" my name is not that, I am a Male. So I am a little more frustrated now. We then sit down and wait at our table until 12:30 only to be asked what drinks we would like. So now I am very frustrated. Then we place our order for food 15 minutes later. And wait another 30-40 minutes for our food, our food comes out cold as if it had been ready sitting on the counter for 20 minutes. Total price: $52.66 I tip $5 in good spirits because I have been here many times before. If it were my first appearance there I would have left without paying and slid all the plates onto the floor. read more

One of our families favorite spots! The staff is always so pleasant and accommodating. We typically visit on sundays, there usually is a wait. While waiting the hostesses and manager always offer us hot coffee while we wait for our table. Their menu is large with many options for everyone in the family! We really enjoy their homemade corn beef hash, it's delicious! They always give a free corn bread coupon when leaving the bill! Can't go wrong with free corn bread! read more

This will unfortunately not be much of a review since we never were even seated to eat. I have loved going to Persy's for years they have a great selection and are usually very good although slightly pricey for breakfast. The last few times the service has really fallen off but I was willing to overlook it for the food. However last time we went at 10:30 on a Thursday we waited for 10 minutes for someone to come seat us. When someone finally came to the hostess stand she didn't even acknowledge us then started to walk away. I told her we had been waiting for 10 minutes and she said when someone had time they would come seat us. I worked in restaurants for a number of years so I am always willing to cut them a little more slack than I would other places with crappy customer service. However after another couple of minutes with no one coming to seat us I went around the corner into the dining room there were at least five empty, albeit dirty, tables available. Again I was willing to believe that they had just had a busy morning until I saw a group of waitresses and the busboy shooting the breeze in the corner. I went back out to my group and told them what happened and we decided that we should probably just go somewhere else. We set in their waiting area for another 5 minutes discussing our options before we left and stil no one came over to us once. It's too bad the place used to be good. read more

First time I have been back to this location since they they reopened after the fire. What a great new building! Everything is new and fresh but they kept the feeling of the old place. The food was outstanding and it was great to find out that one of the original family members was cooking in the kitchen! You can't get a better breakfast anywhere in New England. We just left a delicious breakfast at persy's. We r in Kingston visiting my sister and decided to go out to breakfast. What an excellent spot. The menu is huge and the food was to die for. My husband and I both got eggs, toast, bacon and wheat bread. Bread seemed like it was homemade! Yum. They also have an option to load your home fries with different options, I went for the melted cheese sauce....it made the meal. I couldn't finish it but boy did I want to. We also had our daughter with us. Out waitress, Tiffany, was perfect. She was accommodating and very friendly. She was ready to take our order and helpful with the menu. She brought our daughters pancake out first so she didn't get antsy. Our food came out quickly and everything was so delicious. Tiffany came over several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't decide which was better, the service or the food! We will defiantly be visiting again read more

Last two times I've had breakfast here have been pretty bad. Whoever cooks the eggs must like them very well done because they are hard to chew. Good omelets are light and fluffy. Their omelets are like rubber and you need a knife to cut them. On to the homefries, greasy, blackened, sitting for a long time taste. Pretty disgusting. Should have learned from the last time I was there but was hungry and passing by. Won't be back! read more

Had late breakfast at Persy's Place in Kingston today. The girl at the door told us we'd have a 5-10 minute wait but it was really only about 2 minutes. All the tables were full and the staff was hustling. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. Now on to the real reason for this review- FOOD! I had what I always have, a side order of biscuits and gravy and a side of hash browns. It's always good, better than anywhere else and that's why I get it there, but today it was fantastic! My family is from the mid-west and my mom makes a mean plate of biscuits and gravy but the cook there today could give her a real run for her money and that's the highest compliment I can give when it comes to biscuits and gravy! Also the hash browns were cooked to perfection, plenty of crispy parts mixed in with softer parts. My only complaint is that when I scraped my plate clean, it was all gone! I wasn't even hungry anymore but I could have eaten another plateful just because it was so good. read more
