    Pancake

Hair... looks great on humans and animals, but not in food... more on that later. Stopped in to meet up with a friend. This was a halfway point, and I wanted to try their Corned Beef Hash. Don't have much experience, and thought I would give it a go. Came with two 'dropped' (Poached?) eggs, and two sides (opted for hash browns and a pancake). The good: Corned Beef hash was actually quite good! It was griddled to a perfect crispiness, and the egg was a nice touch to bring everything together. Hash browns were nice, but nothing remarkable, very similar to what you'd get at IHOP. The restaurant itself has a pretty cool vibe and attentive service. The bad: The pancake was a disgrace. It was seemed barely done enough to not have liquid batter within. Without being drenched in butter and syrup, it was practically flavorless. My friend's ordered his eggs scrambled, but got something more resembling fried and cut up with a spatula. The price point seems pretty high considering what we got. If this place were located closer to, or in the city I might be more forgiving. The ugly: My friend found one hair in his food, and while taken aback, kept eating... when he found the second hair, he stopped altogether. You can be overpriced and have underdone pancakes, but hair in food is a no-go.

I like that the booths feel very private and have little artworks hanging around. It's a cute, country, quaint style. For a reasonable price, they serve a really large breakfast. My boyfriend got blueberry pancakes and I got pumpkin French toast (toast dipped in pumpkin batter) and wow both were amazing. The French toast came with maple butter, and we asked for extra for the pancakes since it was so good. Because the druthers (sides) are large, we were able to share apple sauce, bacon, sausage, eggs, and hash browns. We also got a side of fruit which had a great variety of fruit. I loved the pumpkin French toast. It was tasty and unique. All the sides were great and enough quantity to share. Overall, the food was great, service was great, and I'd love to go to another Persy's again.

The only reason they get one star because how cute it is inside! Came here because the one in Dartmouth is absolutely great! So disappointed I always get the same thing and as it says on the menu bug pieces of chicken... or so I thought ordered the Buffalo chicken omelette and little piece of what looks like chewed up chicken. Very big pieces of onion though! Barely any cheese! My friend ordered an omelette and hers was huge mine not so much! Waitress Alissa has personality of I'm here to do My job and that's it not how's your food or do you need anything just sort of off, didn't even give us the check just had her bus boy do it what?!!!? Never again should get a full refund for what we got and how rushed out the door we where.

Good local BF spot. Food felt downhome and hearty. As a brunch its a good spot. Food isnt amazing but good. The pancakes were average but we enjoyed the food.

Good for the price. Basic diner food was underwhelming. Service was fast and friendly!

This place is a south shore stalwart. Consistent breakfast place with bottomless coffee. You come here for the corned beef hash. It's done to crispy New England perfection. However, I would love the modern option of non-dairy milk for the coffee and free Range eggs + nitrite free bacon. Please refresh this place and the menu for the modern (fussy) diet. Thanks!

I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

The staff is very friendly, even during the dinner rush when there are shows in town. The place is a little dark, but it's a pub -- that's part of the atmosphere. I started with an Allagash Ale while my wife had water. I always seem to gravitate toward the fish and chips, which are consistently crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. This time around, my wife ordered the fish tacos and thoroughly enjoyed them. If you're heading to a show at the Hall, I highly recommend stopping here beforehand.

Bartender handled the whole joint on a Saturday lunch. -- Patty Melt: Nice straddling between traditional and innovative. Brisket patty, neither thick nor thin, with a soft grind, cooked showing pink (I asked for medium rare if possible). Bacon-onion-jalapeño jam with some zip and bacon saltiness and bendy texture. Caramelized onions with a hint of sweetness. Partly-melted American cheese. Griddled marble rye with unnoticeable butter. Not perfection, but an enjoyable mix of flavors and textures. -- Fries (with the patty melt): Thin, crunchy shoestrings, aggressively salted, in assorted lengths. -- Quinoa Bowl: Bright flavors, good textures, per my wife. -- Ginger Soda: Made in house, string Ginger flavors, not too much sugar. Very good, though at $7, it's gotta be something you're certain you want. Solid experience. Hard to get a full picture without trying more things, but good enough to try more. We started with the seafood trio appetizer -- stuffed mushrooms, scallops, and a crab cake -- all delicious. We also ordered the wedge salad, which was crisp, generously dressed, and one of the standout starters of the night. For entrées, the pork chop was extremely flavorful, the baked scrod was a hit, and the jambalaya was excellent and plated creatively in a ring around the rice rather than the usual stew-style presentation. Service was outstanding; our waitress was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. We finished with the chocolate Kahlua bread pudding, which was absolutely mouthwatering. The only downside is the noise level -- the restaurant is shockingly loud throughout, to the point where you have to raise your voice to hear each other.
