Yummy food (hot prepared food available as well as gran and go). Some indoor seating. Curious staff as well.

I was in the area for yet another specialist appointment and was not feeling in the best spirit…read more Since it was a fasting appointment, I was pretty hungry so the hubby brought me here. I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

Bottom line... it doesn't get much better than Dillon's Local…read more My only gripe is that it's a little small, so if your timing isn't right, you might be waiting for a table -- but honestly, that's part of the charm. It has that cozy hometown pub feel: sports on, music playing, and a great local vibe. The staff treats you like you've been coming in for years, making you feel like a regular right away -- and that's definitely a good thing. Homemade comfort food that hits on every level, a delicious menu from top to bottom, and a drink menu that complements it perfectly. And by the way... the Guinness pours well!

Excellent location facing Plymouth harbor. Out of town visiting family had dinner with three adults…read moreand two little girls (5 and 8). Found a table indoors (outdoor seating available as well) with ample room for all five of us including dolls, cards, and toys. I ordered a Bloody Mary made with a local alcoholic seltzer which was a great drink but also a significant appetizer with all the fixings. I ordered the "Luca Brazi" sandwich which was excellent and took home half the sandwich for dinner tonight. *Important footnote...I NEVER have leftovers when I order dinner. I ALWAYS eat EVERYTHING!! I highly recommend if you are a tourist (or a local) take the two block walk from visiting The Plymouth Rock and enjoy a great meal and drinks at THE VITAMIN SEA RESTAURANT!!

It…read morewas founded by business partners Dino Funari, Pete Kiley, Josh Sherman and Richard DiBona. Funari, Kiley and Sherman frequently got together on weekends to embrace their love of homebrewing. After doing this for a number of years, and building up a local following distributing their home-brews from a blue cooler, they decided to open a brick & mortar brewery and taproom. At this time, DiBona came on board as a partner and assisted with the search for a location. After exausting all options in the seaside town of Hull, the partners acquired a 3,000-sq-ft space in the "craft beer friendly" town of Weymouth. The name "Vitamin Sea" was chosen to reflect Funari's love of surfing and surf culture. The brewery quickly gained a reputation for their juicy New England IPAs, decadent Stouts, and experimental Fruited Sours. A second location opened along the waterfront in Plymouth in May 2024. I recently visited Vitamin Sea's Plymouth location while I was in town for the day. I was scheduled to meet up with some other beer bloggers at a different brewery later. I soon realized that Plymouth has an excellent craft beer scene and decided to head to Vitamin Sea first. The Plymouth facility is a beautiful location along the waterfront. I really liked the nautical/surf design theme too! I grabbed a seat at the bar and began to look over the menu. I heard that the Plymouth location is known for their excellent ciabatta sandwiches, so I ordered the "Parm to Table" (oven-roasted chicken cutlet, house-made marinara, melted mild & aged provolone, Parmesan, whipped lemon ricotta, basil on toasted ciabatta). It was the BEST chicken cutlet sandwich I've ever had in my life! What made it stand apart from other sandwiches? The whipped lemon ricotta! I washed it down with a pour of "Currency Check" (Double New England IPA), followed by "Mexican Blanket" (Imperial Stout). The beer, like the food, was fantastic! I must also point out that the staff were so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful throughout my visit. I highly recommend Vitamin Sea Brewing and look forward to visiting their Weymouth location!

Artisian Hearth Gourmet Brioche Rolls: A bun can make or break the perfect burger or sandwich…read more Artisian Hearth's gourmet brioche rolls are baked at state-of-the-art, quality-controlled bakeries in St. Cloud, MN., Sun Prairie, WI., and Fargo, ND. Before I jump into how they taste, I want to address what a brioche bun or roll actually is. A brioche bun is a rich, slightly sweet, and soft French-style bread. It's made using dough that incorporates butter, milk, and eggs. Those ingredients contribute to the roll's signature golden color, fluffy texture, and buttery flavor. The brioche's high fat (although this product has just 1.5g) and egg content creates a moist and absorbent bun that's perfect for burgers and sandwiches. Artisian Hearth's product tastes like a quintessential brioche roll to me. All of the above qualities seem to be checked off. I absolutely love the thick, fluffy, and pleasantly chewy texture. It doesn't hurt that they are also visually appealing with their golden color. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Some things better than others. -- Sourdough bread: Excellent flavor and texture. -- Blueberry Danish: A little dry and a little off taste. -- Almond Croissant: Very good texture, slightly warm, but chemical aftertaste to the almond filling. -- Chocolate Chip Cookies: Thin and a little dry. Nice buttery aspect but something off-tasting too. -- Ginger Cookies: Chewy, bendy, and pleasantly strong ginger flavor with no aftertaste. Heavy on the sugar crystals. Easily the best of the cookies. -- Lemon Ginger Shortbread Cookies: Not bad. Definitely buttery and interesting tartness. A little of that "off" taste I can't place. Friendly staff. Easy parking. I should note that the bagels looked good, and we didn't try those, so that might have tipped the scales more in their favor. Again, nothing was bad. Better than supermarket bakeries for sure-- just not on the level of the better bakeries in Boston.
