A friend of mine suggested this company to help me with my hair loss and I am eternally grateful! Due to my medical condition we all agreed that at this time I needed a clip on or a wig. I declined a wig and fortunately they had 1 (only 1) possible hair piece that would mix well with my own hair color, which is gray and white. (Apparently getting hair with white hair is extremely rare). So you can imagine my surprise when she put this hair extension on my head. I exclaimed "Oh my God, it's me!!" My hair has been getting thinner and finer since mid 2016 when I was first diagnosed with cancer. In the mirror I saw myself as I remembered looking 7-10 years ago!! With a few modifications including the length and bangs, it was perfect. The people at this company were all fantastic. From the greeting by John when we arrived, the in depth discussion with Nikki to determine our course of action and the time spent with Paula on the hairpiece including modifications and how to take care of it ... I was completely satisified if not overwhelmed by both the team and the results. My husband was with me the whole time and shares the same feelings. He continues to tell me today how thrilled he is that I received with I wanted and needed at this stage in my medical journey. Thank you to the whole team! Patti R

I never want to go out anymore or even go to work with my hair loss as I was embarrassed and ashamed. In looking for a solution, I came across The Salon at 10 Newbury. I started with a virtual consultation with the owner, Patricia Wrixon. Pat was INCREDIBLE and was so understanding and supportive! I booked an appointment and because I live more than 6 hours away, she booked me on a Thursday morning, allowing us more than enough time to find the correct hair piece, overnight ship it, color and highlight on Friday and cut and blend with my bio hair Saturday along with teaching me all about the care of Follea hair pieces. Living so far away, Ashley (Office Manager) and Sara answered endless questions and emails. They ensured our trip was pure perfection. When we entered the Salon, the staff is amazing at Covid precautions as well as assuring you are seen in a private space due to the emotions of hair loss. We were offered coffee, americano, espresso, water and were catered to like royalty. Pat even helped us find the most amazing place to have dinner that evening! I am deathly afraid of going bald and the texture of my hair has drastically changed. Because of this, my husband and I decided I would purchase a Follea topper and a Follea wig that match; therefore I can wear whichever I am more comfortable in at the moment and no one will be the wiser! Not only did Pat not oversell, she was quick to point out that we did not have to decide that moment. By purchasing two pieces, it never dawned on me this meant twice the amount of work for Pat, the amazing guru of color, Michelle, and the fantastic hair cut/blend Agi!!And yet, they ensured that we had everything including education before we left on Saturday and had both pieces that match perfectly!! The pictures below are the follea topper. I am over the moon about how this blends and cannot say enough about this salon. I am a professional and need to work throughout the cancer treatment. I had my sister-in-law with me, and we found a wig that she recognized as a hairstyle I had worn earlier in my life. I cannot overstate how helpful it was to have someone (the staff) tell me 1) did not. need to settle, and 2) that I would know when I had the right one. She was correct. They then helped me complete the paperwork to apply for coverage through a grant program. I bought head scarves and "turbans." The variety was amazing, and the cost was so reasonable. I am grateful.

My appointment was frustrating and disappointing, embarrassing and humiliating. The moment I walked in the door, they demanded my license and medical insurance. First thing! When I said that this visit was not covered, she projected across the store, loudly, "Not cancer." The mood changed. The owner then gave me a short interview, grabbed a bunch of bras, put in the fitting room and told me to go at my own pace,and call her when I needed help. NO MEASUREMENTS! After three unanswered calls for assistance, I put on the little robe they provided and went to look for her but the UPS man was right there! I ran back into the fitting room, gathered my things and went to find her. She immediately pawned me off on someone else and began helping another client. When the owner realized that I wasn't going to put several triple digit costing bras on an insurance, I was not worth her time. I seem to remember, I may be wrong but, in Amherst they gave a small discount to those without insurance. It didn't matter why we came to her. Wigs, compassion was all available years ago. A customer that returns over the years would spend as much as a cancer patient with insurance but I will never return. So if you don't have cancer insurance you will get better service at Macy's.
