I can't say enough nice things about Denise! I walked in wanting to get rid of all my hair because of a botched balayage from a different salon, and she truly worked her magic by giving me an amazing color. I couldn't have asked for anything more based on what I gave her to work with I'll attach a few before and after pictures. I'd gotten my hair done at a salon in NYC. When I went in, I'd asked for a caramel balayage. That's not what I left with, even after I told them I didn't like the color, and they added toner to darken it. I called Arté as a last resort, after trying to find multiple other salons in the Natick area who could accommodate me. None of them could; I was in a terrible time crunch(wedding, party, and holiday event) and needed something done ASAP. Arté took me as a walk in, and asked that I come in around noon for a consult. I met with Denise who was professional, and understanding at the same time. My hair didn't look "bad" but it wasn't what I'd asked for. I don't think the last salon had any bad intentions with my hair but they just weren't able to give me what I'd asked for (despite a picture and revisiting it during a 6 hour appointment.) Denise showed me several swatches and told me she'd do the best she could to rid my hair of the copper color, or mute it as much as possible. The end result is actually much closer to the color I'd originally wanted done. I went from copper/auburn to a warm brown/slight caramel color and I love it. read more

So happy with my haircut by Evelyn at Arte Salon. I'm a man (used to go to a barber or super cuts) but now I have long hair that is super difficult to manager. Evelyn literally gave the best haircut I've ever had and my hair looks exactly how I wanted it to. I already booked my next appointment for 8 weeks out. I can't say enough about Denise and Salon Arte. Denise has been my hairstylist for over 10 years now. I met Denise when she was a stylist at a salon in Newbury Street in Boston and followed her to Salon Arte because she knows my hair and is a color expert. I travel from Belmont to Wayland because I don't trust anyone else with my hair and color. Denise also cuts my 16 year old daughter's hair, who is very picky! The salon itself is very clean and modern and they offer other services like facials and brows (my daughter gets her brows shaped by Jacqui). The staff members are all very friendly. I was in need of a new stylist, so I did some research. My friend goes to Arte and posted some beautiful photos on Instagram, so that's how I found Mallorie. And she is a find! If you're a blonde or looking for someone specializing in color, she's the one to see. She knew immediately just what to do to get my over-processed hair on the right path again, and was so kind and professional. She took the time to go over color swatches to determine exactly what shade of blonde I wanted for my highlights, and explained everything that she would be doing and what the process would entail. Fast-forward, and I have a beautiful new cut and color that I absolutely love! She is an exceptional stylist who really listens and has a great creative vision, and is so detail-oriented. As other reviewers have said, she's a true perfectionist, and she's also a lot of fun. I would highly recommend Mallorie and Arte to anyone! Also, the salon itself is lovely, it's got a coffee bar and nice waiting area, everything is brightly lit and the décor is elegant. I have been to the salon a few times now. My experience each time has always been wonderful. The front desk always greets you with a smile. I have had cuts from Margaret, Jess and Adam and each of them have been amazing. The salon has a sleek vibe to it and is always very clean! My review is based on a recent experience at this salon and attempts to follow up, which were to no avail. My 17 year old daughter made an appointment as a new client with a stylist, Kelly, at this salon 3 weeks before the date. A week before the appointment, a staff member called her and said that due to a mix-up they had to move her appointment up 2 hours or change her to another stylist (no specific information was offered, I assume that they either double booked her or she had a regular who needed my daughter's time slot). While it was inconvenient for us to go at the later time, we decided to stay with the same stylist. On the day of the appointment (which was two days before the first day of school) one hour BEFORE her scheduled appointment, they called and cancelled saying Kelly was leaving for the day and nobody else was free to cut my daughter's hair that day as all the stylists were busy. Huh? Then they told her they couldn't get her in until Friday. No apologies, no attempts to help or get her in earlier. I contacted the owner and left a VM with regard to our dismay. I received a call 2 days later from Brittany (not the owner, but the salon "manager"). While she expressed apologies for the poor treatment, she barely worked to rectify things for us and offered only 20% off a 'haircut.' Seriously? I can get 25% off simply by " checking in" to this place on Yelp, lol. We went elsewhere. I hope the owner reads this. I will dissuade everyone I know in the local area from using this salon, including those I know who are current clients. Update: I changed the original stars to 3 stars. I should have updated sooner! The owner contacted us upon reading the yelp review and kindly offered my daughter a haircut on the house. We had a very friendly and competent stylist service her. It still didn't remedy the fact that she could. Or her her hair cut before school began, but at least they made an effort. Thank you. read more

I received a pumpkin facial today by Kate and so so happy with the treatment and results! I have very sensitive skin and always nervous about getting facials but needed to freshen up for Fall and so glad I did. Update! After my negative experience and negative yelp review I received both a call and an email from Nicole, the manager of the salon. She apologized profusely and offered me a free lip and brow wax along with a free skincare product. We scheduled my appointment with Kate (a different esthetician than my original appointment) for the following week. Kate saw me on time and did a great job with the waxing. It wasn't painful and I wasn't even red afterwards (my skin is sensitive and almost always gets red!). Kate recommended a serum, similar to what I was using but had just run out of. I'm excited to try it and I'll definitely be back for waxing again. Kudos to Nicole and the staff at Arte for making things right. I'd definitely recommend Salon Arte to everyone! read more

I found this salon trough my two daughters that have being going that since they opened. It is a beautiful and friendly salon. The staff made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. First time I went there I had this fantastic facial called Hydradermie Lift as a gift from my girls. My skin felt firm, hydrated and the best of all it visibly reduced wrinkles on my face. Had three of them so far and absolutely love my skin! I am also started having my hair cut and colored and I couldn't be happier. The colorists are fantastic the salon is full service and the vibe is relaxing but professional. I just recently moved to Wayland and found an ad for this salon in FB. I decided to give it a try based on the reviews and all the services they offered so to start I booked an appt with an stylist named Jessica (goes by Jess) for a full Balayage based on the pics of her color work on the salon website. My appt was booked in advance for Thurs 01/11. I received a call on the same day of my appt from Nicole (the receptionist I am assuming) informing me that "Jess" called out sick and that I needed to reschedule my appt. As per Nicole Jess next available date was Tuesday 1/16 at 1:00pm or at 4:45pm, Nicole recommended the 4:45pm time so Jess will have enough time to do my hair color so I booked my appt for that time and date following Nicole's recommendation. I was very excited and looking forward to my 1st appt until this afternoon when I again received a call from the salon informing me that Jess wont have time to do my hair on Tuesday 01/16 either, due to the time I booked it for and the salon closing at 7:00pm on that day. I was told Jess was going on vacation after that and was given a later date at the end of January to reschedule my appt AGAIN! I explained to the person on the phone I booked that time/date as recommended by Nicole and that in less than 1 week I already had to change my work schedule around this 2 appts with Jess that got cancelled around their convenience. Needless to say I did not and I will not reschedule my appt a 3rd time since I was looking for a long term relationship with a serious professional stylist and salon that care about their clients, completely the opposite of what I found here!
