Charged more than expected for a one process. Apparently adding on a conditioner after a shampoo costs $60 but this was never shared with me at the time. I thought she was doing me a last minute favor. While I admire my stylists skill set, I will not return if this is the way they do business. read more

Grettacole - Color and extensions - Hair Salons Near Me - Wellesley, Massachusetts

I went this afternoon to have my hair "fixed" by Karen - she didn't fix it she made it worse with more chemicals more bleach and two different toner treatments because the first one was wrong. She had the assistant take out my foils without even looking at them. I have never ever had a stylist not peek at the foils before washing. My hair is destroyed. She charged me over 200 dollars for this beyond horrible experience and kept telling me how great it's going to look. Ya right I wasn't born yesterday. This is an expensive salon and they couldn't CARE LESS about their clients and try to fix their terrible work with toners. I am beyond upset. Just beware this salon and Karen is just looking to make the most money possible while literally not giving a $hit. read more

I had an amazing facial with Eun, she is so attentive and focused on your skincare goals . 10000% recommend her, thank you!!

I have been getting my hair done at Grettacole for the past year and have been so happy with their services. Melissa does a fabulous cut- I wanted to change it up with an edgy, blunt, layered look and she understood my vision even better than I did! I have genuinely never been happier with my hair. More recently I've been seeing Natalie who is lovely and does a fantastic job cutting, coloring and giving me recommendations on products to maintain my hair. Natalie does the best blowout I've ever gotten- she is a magician! Love Laurie as well. For waxing I see Rimma but have also seen Eun; both are highly skilled and would trust them with my life! Everyone at Grettacole is an expert at what they do and will go to them for anything I need. Highly recommend if you're looking for a stylist or esthetician in Wellesley. They are the best and make you feel so at home. read more

I love this salon so much. The stylists and receptionists are excellent. This is by far the best salon in Wellesley. Their post-covid opening practices truly went above & beyond. It is evident that the Grettacole team cares deeply about the safety and well-being of their clients! read more

Dana is a great stylist. I've never seen an unhappy client. Everyone in the salon is friendly and professional

If you ever need your eyebrows waxed I can't recommend Rema enough! She's the best! Super efficient and kind. 10/10!!

After tediously trying to find a salon worth frequenting, I think I may have finally found my match! Having a friend that works there (she's not a stylist just yet, but in the making!) who always looks fabulous, I knew I had to give it a shot. I had my hair cut and styled by Jenna, who had some hilarious stories and comments to share. She really took her time and payed attention to what I wanted, but also what type of cut fit my face. She gave me some great layers and bangs and I was completely satisfied! I'll be going back soon for a color! read more

Such a great salon with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere and staff. I am just tickled with my experience here and can't wait to come back. This salon well deserves it's excellent reputation! read more

Grettacole is AMAZING! After an extremely awful hair color I received at another salon, I went to grettacole and saw Jenna and Tori. Let me start of by saying everyone at the salon is super friendly and welcoming but the amount of work Jenna and Tori put into my hair was above and beyond. I was there around noon and didn't end up leaving until 5:30-6! (That's how much work needed to be done to correct my awful coloring) Jenna and tori worked on my hair in between their other clients. They both were incredible and Jenna even stayed late to make sure I felt beautiful when I left! The coloring was beautiful and she even gave me a cut since my hair was damaged from the previous salon. I cannot wait to return...I highly recommend checking out this salon! You won't regret it. read more

Rima is a fantastic esthetician ! Always providing the best care for my face . She's so thorough and gentle and I know I'm in good hands when I'm in the salon . I always leave feeling radiant . I always ask her for which products would work best for my face and she's great with recommendations for my skin type . I really recommend Rima for any facial or nail treatment you may need . read more

I've been going here for a while and love it, but there is one very serious drawback to this salon--they are closed on Sundays! :( Plus, they close really early on saturdays. read more

I was looking for a new stylist and an update and took a chance on the reputation of the Gretta Cole salons when I purchase a bloomspot coupon. I made an appt with Greg. I was pleasantly surprised by his professionalism, his knowledge of color and a nice cut. I appreciated the way he took his time getting to know me, lifestyle and where we wanted to go with the color eventually. I thought the salon was dated and cramped but everyone I met seemed super nice. Gretchen herself came in with the new baby and greeted old an new customers in a friendly way. I will return soon for a follow-up color refresh. I'm always hesitant the second time around just because I haven't found a lot of consistency with salons and staff but I'm hoping Greg's still there!!! read more

I have been a customer of Grettacole for 15 years. I highly recommend the professional services of all the staff. Laurie is particularly talented with short hair! read more

Before I explain how much I love the way my hair turned out, I would like to take the time and rave about the customer service at this salon. Everyone was so nice here from the moment I walked in for my appointment. Bailey did my hair and she did an excellent job with my cut, color and highlights. She gave me exactly what I asked for. Thank you!!!! read more

I went to Grettacole for the first time and was very pleased with my visit. It's much bigger than out looks from the outside as it has multiple levels. Victoria greeted me with a smile and offered to get me something to drink as she showed me to her chair. We had a chat about what I was looking for and gave me a shampoo & great haircut. She asked me several times "Is this enough or should I go shorter?" That was refreshing as we have all had cuts where they chop away and you leave surprisingly short. I also loved how she showed me and explained to me the products she was using and why she chose those particular products for my hair. I also loved she didn't get pushy and lead me to the product shelf. That was very nice. Personally I like to see how the products hold up over the course of the day before I put another bottle of something on my shelf. All and all it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

I am a redhead so I get my hair colored every 5 weeks. Been going here for over a year now and I only have to go every 6 weeks! That's a great savings for me! The stylist are very knowledgeable and friendly. I've had waxing services from Rimma and she is wonderful! I also like the fact that no one tried to push any products on me after services. Always a plus. read more

I've enjoyed my experience every time I saw Bailey, and I'm deeply saddened to hear she is no longer working there! Bummer!! It is hard to find a stylist as bubbly and personable all the while being extremely talented and professional. I will be tracking her down for sure. read more

New to the area, I asked a co-worker who had beautiful hair where she got it done. She recommended Eliza at Gretta Cole. I have been going to her for 3.years and I think she keeps getting better and better! read more

Greg is the best in the business. I've had a sincere friendship with him for over a decade and would never think of going anywhere else to get my haircut. read more

They do a great job and the stylists are great, but the receptionist is usually pretty rude and acts like its an inconvenience to book and appointment especially if you book by phone. I have been going to Grettacole for ten years and am always shocked they aren't more friendly when I try to book an appointment. read more

First experience with the salon. My hairdresser was jenna. She was friendly, listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. I have already booked my next three appointments in order to save 10%. read more

Disappointed in the color services from Lori. She was totally uninterested that I wasn't happy with the color. In fact, I felt as if she "dismissed me" when a stopped in a few days later to show her how dark it was. Felt as if she had her regulars and was uninterested in a new satisfied client. read more

Bailey Tripp is AMAZING. She is funny, bubbly, knowledgeable and clearly dedicated to her craft. Anyone you encounter in this salon will be amazing but I cannot possibly recommend Bailey enough. I am the first to admit I have a massive head of hair and I am PICKY but I will never see another stylist again!! read more

From the sincere smiles and warm welcome that you will receive for the gracious and professional staff at the front desk to the expert styling and beauty care that you will receive from the expert stylists, GRETTACOLE is a rare gem of a salon. Everyone here is very considerate of your time; they always take you on time and appointments never run late. And it's always struck me that the stylists are all happy and obviously LOVE their jobs. The facilities are newly renovated, clean and modern. This all make Grettacole a perfect salon. read more

I bought a gift certificate for a haircut from a level one stylist. I booked an appointment for my daughter to get a trim. She has long straight hair, it was butchered and cut unevenly. She called me as she left the salon and told me it was all uneven, even though she has no layers, and it's all one length. I waited to see it for myself. In horror, I called them , and they said they would re-charge me for them to fix it. Then they backed down from that and said that they had just changed there policy and won't re-charge. In the end, we didn't want any more damage done, so had it fixed at another salon. I was very disappointed, it was suppose to be a $65 haircut, not supercuts. Also, I had gone there years ago, at the Chestnut Hill location, and had a great haircut. Very disappointing, Never go back again, and also, never buy another gift certificate for a haircut from Guilt City. read more
