The stylists are professional yet personable. I've been seeing Bailey for a year now and I would 100% recommend her to a client in search of an amazing colorist. I just want to share my wonderful experience at Atelier! The salon is absolutely gorgeous and everyone there is so helpful and friendly. It's truly a luxury experience where you feel totally pampered. I've been a client of Tori's for several years and she is so talented. Meghan the owner is truly a class act! I had an issue with my color and she graciously worked with me to correct it and made me feel so comfortable about going back where at other salons they might not be as understanding. My significant other had a blow out at your salon. She came with pictures to show how she wanted it to look. The stylist did an awful job. She made the hair all flat - completely different in what we expected, and the photos shown to the stylist. Finally, the stylist had an attitude, not listening on how she wanted it. We do not recommend this place. read more

Destiny must've matched me with Andrea as she performed magic on my unruly mane. I had a more modest plan when I walked in, but after a few minutes of chatting, I knew I could fully trust her to give me a real transformation - and she delivered beyond any expectations! Stylist didn't hear what I wanted. Was rushed and gave my hair the wrong treatment. After it was processed and I was washed out by another person, she never came back to check the color before I left. That is extremely strange. In addition it is standard practice to offer clients water, tea etc. this service was simplistic and similar to a super cuts. Horrible particularly when paying Wellesley prices. Now I have to get my hair done again. For reference it is rare that I post on yelp but the experience from beginning to end and the poor outcome of my hair has compelled me. I thought I would try a new place but will be revisiting my former salon, happily. read more

I drive 1.5 hours to get my hair done by Bailey. She knows exactly what I want and doesn't try to sell me anything I don't need. She's extremely talented in balayage, and a pleasure to chat with. She also recommended an aloe-based shampoo to treat my dry scalp which worked after one wash!! I went to this salon a couple months back but have been dying to go again. It's a beautiful space full smiles and kind friendly faces. I went in for a highlight and cut with Bailey, who is just the best. The blonde tone was exactly what I wanted and the haircut was excellent. Best cut of my adult life and gorgeous color (seriously...I've dated many salons but after only one year I married Atelier!). I am in my 50s...so that was a lot of dating! Not only is the staff awesome but the salon is so much more relaxing than the bigger places. Great products, too! Thanks Meghan. I have been going to Owner Meghan Andrade for years for color, creative highlights, and cuts. There is literally no one better in Wellesley. However, I have to say that since she started her own salon, my opinion of her talents has only been enhanced. Andrea is amazing, she always listens to what I want to achieve in both color and cut and she never disappoints. Today, I went in for highlights and was so happy I got the color and tone I wanted the first time which has never happened before. I've always been told in the past it would take a couple visits to achieve the color. Andrea made sure she added olaplex to prevent damage and my hair feels great. I had just colored my hair at a different salon and my stylist didn't do nearly what I wanted. I had been going to this salon for over a year. I come in every 3 weeks for roots and a blow out, and then every so often get a cut and highlights. So you would think they view me as a good steady customer. Today, I called (more than 24 hours before my appointment) and told them I had COVID and needed to reschedule. Now my sore throat was so bad I lost my voice, so I sounded very sick on the phone. The woman who answered told me she would have to charge me unless I sent her proof that I have COVID. I was taken aback. She said, "we know it's often a scam." Really, that's my game to get out of an appointment, which by their own policy I can cancel. So I explained that I could send them a copy of my paxlovid prescription, but I threw the test results away. Interestingly, even the Dr. didn't ask to see the test result. But I told them, I honestly thought this was a bit much. She repeated it was their policy. I said, so you prefer I just come in with COVID and cough on your other customers and employees? That seems like a bad policy and one that will endanger others. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I decided I did not want to frequent a place of business that felt it was appropriate customer service to call a customer a liar and to demand a doctor's note to avoid being charged. I also feel that this policy will cause this illness to keep on spreading. To their credit, they ultimately decided after listening to me, to not charge me - again, I was within the 24 hour window anyway - but wow, this is a clear indication that this company does not care about the health or safety of its customers and staff. read more
