My only regret is that I didn't find this place sooner. Finally after 10 years of living here I found someone that knows how to cut my crazy curly hair, and that is supportive of my growing it out grey! Virginia gave me a beautiful haircut and isn't afraid to really layer it. I've gotten so many compliments on the cut, even from teens! read more

YOU NEED TO SEE CURTIS! Best hair cut I've ever had feels and looks sooo gooddd. And he can do pixies! Best pixie ever. Come here and ask for Curtis, trust me! read more

Curtis went above and beyond! He is my go to for blonde highlights for the summer. I decided last minute to add additional highlights as the last appointment on a Saturday and he was more than willing to accommodate so I left my appointment happy with my gorgeous hair. I could not be happier with the result! read more

Nathalie is amazing. She gave me exactly the cut I asked for, and advice on how to maintain it. She even worked some kind of stylist magic that made me no longer self conscious about going gray! I am disabled, and it's difficult sometimes for me to keep up with it, so I had asked for tips, and she nailed it! Thank you so much, Nathalie, it still looks like it did on the day you cut it, and all at a reasonable price, which is pretty impressive! I will definitely be coming back! read more

Nathalie did an amazing job with my hair! She's so good with curly hair and did exactly what I wanted. Would 100% recommend for curly hair!! read more

Brilliant haircut: I asked for something professional that would grow out well and five months later it still looks good

Wow, I'm shocked. I had a bad review for this place that I put down years ago along with the owner replying to me in such a rude way, commenting back and forth many times. I guess you can just pay Yelp to remove bad reviews and have a lot of robots post good reviews. Nice to know you cannot trust Yelp anymore. I remember there being quite a few bad reviews for this place. Where did they go? Not cool Adding to reply to the comment the owner left for me on 11/11/21 Hi there, like I said I had a review I posted years ago and it was removed. I don't know why you would think I would post a 1 star review for a place that I never been in? That sounds silly. I had a really bad experience at your salon some time back with my hair color. But besides the bad hairdo, the issue is that you are paying Yelp to remove bad reviews and you also talk so rude to your customers. Didn't anyone ever teach you to be nice to women? Your masculine energy is very toxic. Take care. read more

My daughter saw Nathalie for a cut (she has think curly hair) and she couldn't be happier. Nathalie is knowledgeable, shared lots of tips and is a great listener. I've known many great hairdressers, and it's clear Nathalie knows her stuff! read more

It's been over a year and half since I was able to come in and get my hair done. I was seen by Nathalie and she killed it today! I wanted green hair and she gave me just that! Even after ruining my hair with crappy store blue dye, she did the best she could to lift the bad color out to the best of her ability and added a few shades of green and BOOM! Alien hair success. She's amazing. read more

Such a great salon! I used to come here several years back when I used to live closer and loved how my old stylist would cut and style my hair. Then I made the awful mistake of going to a new salon that was closer to me and had my hair totally butchered. I was literally traumatized from that experience and it took quite some time to grow it out. I finally decided to come back here and was booked with Edwin since my old stylist doesn't work there anymore and I couldn't be happier with my end result! He did such a great job during the consult clarifying the vision I had for the cut and executing it. He also styled it so well! Im just thrilled with the outcome. I'm actually scheduled to see him again for some highlights next week and can't wait! In comparison to other salons, I feel that Fulham's stylists are more up to date on current hair styles and techniques so if you're looking for a more modern cut or color, you should definitely consider booking an appointment! In case you're wondering about safety due to COVID19: masks are required at all times for stylists and clients. Stylists are also using disposable gloves and aprons. They're only using every other station so there's a lot of space between you and others and the stylists are sanitizing everything between use. I felt totally comfortable and safe during my visit. read more

I went to Fulham Salon today to get my hair colored for the very first time. I am Indian and have thick black curly hair. Having never experimented with color before I was nervous about how it would take to my hair as well as look against my skin tone. I have wanted to try a sombre on my hair for quite some time now but kept chickening out. I finally decided to go for it and had made and appointment at a Salon in Somerville. After making my original appointment I found a Groupon for an Ombre/Balayage, haircut, toner and blow out for Fulham Salon in Wellesley, MA. I researched reviews of the Salon and a majority being positive I decided to purchase the Groupon. I was nervous about using a discount coupon to color my hair for the first time but I decided it was time for me pull the trigger. I was extremely nervous when I went in this morning. Katherine Johnston was my stylist. I explained to her that it was my first time, that I was nervous and that I was relying heavily on her to tell me what would look good. She explained the entire process to me and went over color options. As previously mentioned I relied heavily on Katherine's expertise and I am very happy with the result. I would highly recommend the salon. The place was clean, with a hipster vibe and the entire staff was very friendly. I was able to find street parking easily right in front of the salon. read more

I've been a client of Jillian's for going on 4 years now. When she moved over to Fulham Salon... well, I followed her. She's got a magic touch! Over time, Jillian has taken me from a dark brunette to a bright red to a platinum ombre, and she's continued to dazzle throughout my wedding planning process by sculpting a pretty awesome updo. I was torn between several concepts, and she found a way to combine all of them into one great big bundle of beauty. She is always excited to try new things and have a few laughs along the way, and the Fulham team is a great home for her. The facilities are clean, modern, and utilize cutting edge technology in their equipment and product. Seriously, anything you want done, they can do it. I took a stack of business cards with me the last time I visited, because I'm always asked where I get my hair done. You know you've got a good thing going when you have clients volunteering as brand ambassadors for you! A definite recommendation, a very happy client. I even got my fiance caring about his hair now, and he's turned into a repeat customer with Jillian. Now THAT'S a feat! read more

Katharine is my go-to stylist; I started seeing her just after I had a baby and feel so lucky that her salon is so conveniently located just steps from my home! I have fairly healthy, easy-to-style hair and tend to prefer low maintenance styles, but I do tend to be picky with my stylists. Katharine is always straightforward about cost before she starts working on my hair and is willing to talk through a variety of options if what you came in thinking is somewhat out of your intended range. I went in to begin a dramatic lightening process, and she was up front about the dreaded brassy stage that might be part of the process depending on your hair. She did a great job "bumping up the roots" so my hair could have the appearance of all over lightness - but not necessarily an ombré - and could grow out without a harsh line of demarcation (especially because my hair grows so quickly!). For haircuts, I've done both long and short looks with her, bangs or no bangs, and have been equally happy with every result. She does it all - you can't go wrong with Katharine! read more

I followed Amy from the Wellesley location to the Newton salon. Loved Amy but she moved into a different field. While she was letting me down gently, she recommended Natalie back at the Wellesley location. Natalie is amazing! Love Natalie too! She is a color magician - gets my dark hair to blonde with zero brassiness - and is fun and great to spend time in the salon with. Love my color every single time read more

Danielle from Fulham Salon helped me turn my pixie cut fantasy into a reality. I've had my hair past my shoulders and in a bob, but I was really craving a drastic change and needless to say, was a little nervous about it. I couldn't be happier with my experience and my cut! I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you Danielle! read more

I have been seeing Daniele at Fulham salon for over two years now, I can't believe this is the first time I have left a review! I am a mousy brown haired girl who wants the impossible - to be the blonde I was when I was a kid without having miserable roots two weeks after leaving the salon! Danielle seems to manage the impossible! For the first time since I started highlighting hair - I have never hit that "have to wear a baseball cap everytime I leave the house" point. She weaves in highlights and lowlights in such a way that I never reach that point of embarrassment before I see her again. Sure - I am not fooling anyone - I am not naturally blonde - my regrowth almost looks good! My girls with my shade of miserable brown know what I am talking about! Her haircuts are beautiful as well. They hold their shape perfectly. Love her and the salon! read more

Jillian does an amazing job of making me look my best and most professional. Every time I get my hair cut, I get compliments on it. I often have her cut my hair before big meetings and events at work. I live in Cambridge, and I have followed Jillian for 5 years, ever since she worked at a different salon in Harvard Square. I am never in Wellesley, and yet, I drive all the way out there just so Jillian can still cut my hair. I suspect her style will be a perfect fit for the high-end professionals that live in Wellesley. read more

I found this salon through yelp, and it totally lives up to the great reviews! Meredith is so friendly, which made it a wonderful experience, in addition to her being an excellent stylist and very precise. So happy about the opening of this new location! My mom and I both got haircuts here and are both very happy with the results! The salon is very clean and chic, and the staff is very friendly. Arielle cut my hair, she was so nice and really took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with my hair, and it came out great. The pricing is very reasonable, and depends on the experience of each stylist, which I think is a great way to organize it. Simply put, they know what they are doing when it comes to hair! read more

I like the rustic atmosphere and it reminds me a bit of home with the wood tones. On a cold, windy day it was nice to step inside the warm salon and be greeted by smiles and friendly folks. As a guy, nice salons like Fulham can make me feel like an outsider, but not here. I felt comfortable and was treated well. I showed the stylist, Jenny, a picture of what I wanted my hair to resemble and told her whatever you can do would be great. I feel like she went above and beyond for me and was also knowledgeable about my hair in particular - like how I can best get my hair to stay the way I want it to. In the end, my cut looked great and with a little bit of styling clay I was pretty impressed with the way things turned out. I felt like a new man with a fresh look. Jenny's talented and friendly, and since I believe she's heading to the Newton salon I may have to check out that location too. read more

I recently had a haircut w Milo. I let him cut off approx 6-7 inches. He spent a lot of time giving me a style that would have body without too much daily effort. I have never received so many compliments on a haircut. His cut gave my hair so much texture and body... perfect for the person who usually just puts it up all day. He also did a great cut on my mom who's a breast cancer survivor w very thin hair. Tons of body w her too! Thx Milo! read more

I love this place!! I used to come here when I lived nearby and it's always a sure bet that I still leave happy. They are so professional, patient, and dedicated. Since I moved I had been going to a closer salon but wasn't happy with my recent service. I came here today and saw Edwin. He really cared about my concerns and the end result was better than I expected! Edwin is truly talented and passionate about his work. Definitely recommend this salon! read more

I was going to this salon for a year and a half, I loved going to the same stylist and never got a bad cut until the last time I went to her. I asked for my typical layered look but asked to add more layers than last time because I loved volume... I have no volume and she thinned it out in places were it never should have been thinned out. I ended up with an uneven cut and still can't get it to style right after a month and a half of it growing out. I wasn't going to write this review but after still being upset with my hair I felt I should warn others. Ps. Also there is $150 worth of balayage in there... I don't know if you can see it but I can't. read more

Great stylists and a relaxed atmosphere. I've tried every type of salon and stylist for my curly and rapidly graying hair, and Lauren is the best I've ever worked with. I'm pretty sure she has some kind of colorist superpower. All the stylists here are friendly and funny and it seems pretty clear they all like each other. The vibe is just really good there...none of the tension that you can sometimes feel at salons. On the weekends you can park for free in the public lot around the corner. And there's a Peet's coffee nearby. So, let's see--stylist with superpowers, salon with really cool vibe, free parking on weekends, and nearby coffee. What else could you ask for?? read more

I bought a Groupon for a haircut, blowout, toner and balayage. Katherine did my hair, she took her liberties with the style, applied her expertise about what would look best but listened to what I wanted. I love the shape and reduced volume of my hair. The shape/style lasted until my commencement the next day - looked and felt amazing. I wish the color was a little lighter than "sunkissed" but I should have been more clear when explaining what I wanted. Going back for more highlights! read more

This is a great salon in a great location. Switched here for a color correction from another salon and my stylist did a great job. Lauren rocks. Pleasant and professional- her confidence put me at ease and I knew she could undo the mess that was my hair when I came in! Front desk was super friendly and efficient. Love the convenience of the atm in salon. My only comment is the salon itself. Really beautiful inside- but who's idea was it to have floor to ceiling mirrors and to seat the clients about a foot from them? Haha. Also, no shelf in front so all bags go on floor. Coffee? Water? You are holding it. Same with a magazine. A little awkward. That being said, I am returning of course because of the excellent skills. read more

I've been a client of Ali's for years. She is an artist. She knows her hair, she is phenomenal. She is the only person I truly trust with my hair. All her judgments and suggestions have yet to disappoint. My hair always look healthy and natural. The location of this salon is great. Plenty of parking, there are little shops close by, and the decor inside is rustic chic and very welcoming. *I got the shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo, and heat protector. All great and affordable products. *Also purchased the Yelp deal. They not only honored it, but did not make me feel uncomfortable using it. :) Love this place! read more

My stylist of 5 plus years from another Wellesley salon moved and so I decided to change things up and try a new place. I was not disappointed with my decision and Fulham salon has a new customer. I was warmly greeted by the front desk receptionist and made to feel welcome. I booked with Edwin, a Jr. stylist, and he did an excellent job. First, let me say my hair is short. Very short. Women with short hair rarely find a stylist that believes them when they ask for a short(er) cut. That said, I am thrilled with the cut I received from Edwin at Fulham Salon! He listened closely to what I was looking for, asked questions, gave me options and totally delivered. He was precise and thorough and offered a few styling options that I could work with. And, apparently it's not my opinion alone - friends have all commented that my hair looks great. It truly is the best cut in over 15 year, and I most certainly will be back to see the talented Edwin! read more

Danielle from Fulham Salon in Wellesley did my mother and my hair for my wedding on a hot August day in Boston. I honestly can't express what a fantastic experience it was! The salon is beautiful, parking is easy, everyone there was so professional and helpful. Danielle was such a perfectionist for the trial and the day-of I felt totally calm and confident I would look great and I was definitely not disappointed! She was so professional, creative, kind and just a dream to work with! My hair is so hard to get into an updo and never stays, it usually slides right out, but it looked perfect all day and night! Through the sweat and tears and wind, everything stayed in place perfectly and was beautiful! It was an amazing experience I can't recommend her highly enough!! read more

Having a bi racial daughter makes it challenging to find the right stylist who knows how to work with curly but not kinky hair. After a friend with fabulous curly hair similar to my daughter's sent me to Alex, we have never looked back! Alex was able to give her a cut that allowed her short hair to grow out without even a moment of that "awkward-growing-out stage" and it looked fabulous and healthy as it grew long. Since then, Alex has given her the absolute best cuts to keep her hair soft and fresh and gorgeous! Of course, then I started going to Alex and she is a master with my straighter, thick hair. She has the incredible gift to give you a cut that grows out gorgeously at every length. When we go back for our cuts, it is never ever out of desperation or that our hair looks like it needs a cut. She is fabulous and the salon is professional and lovely and really great. read more
