With the initial work - I would definitely get up in the attic and check all of it, as well as crawl under the house to verify the work, as I had to have them come back out two more times to complete the cleaning process. I would highly suggest the company invests in full portable lighting to see the entire area instead of using headlamps as too much can be missed. Insulation installation will be done at a later time. They did handle the initial cleanup quickly and it was appreciated.

A little background - I called the number on the main Quiet Cool website and spoke to the main manufacturing location. They are the one's that supply the fan's and I guess they just recently started doing installs. They were very unhelpful and had no idea what they were doing. I got discouraged, as they said our house could not have a fan due to our attic makeup. I had to hunt these guys down to get answers, it was like pulling teeth. So please, avoid the main manufacturing company for the installation and just go to the quiet cool guys. Cut to now, I searched quiet cool on yelp because I wanted to give the manufacturing guys mentioned above a bad review and that is when i found the quiet cool guys. So thankful for the quiet cool guys! I called and right away was met with professionalism and could tell they knew what they were doing. They scheduled us for a complimentary evaluation within a few days and had confidence that our attic would be able to fit the fan. They are the ones who have been installing the Quiet Cool products for many years and they have seen it all! We had Misael, Erik and Victor come out. They checked out our attic, answered my many questions and set us up for an appointment to do both insulation and a whole house fan install, within that same week. They came back for the install and the whole process took about 6 hours. They respected my want for no shoes in the house and they carefully laid plastic down in any area they would be walking. They did the install, gave us a tutorial, again answered my many questions and cleaned up very nicely. My husband and I had to do only very minor cleaning after they left, which we very much appreciate! We live in Long Beach area, and these guys are located in Temecula area, but they still service our area, which is so great! We have been enjoying our fan thoroughly. O.J. Insulation just completed a sizable job at my personal residence that included installing foil…read moreradiant barrier in (4) separate attics between my house and guest house. I have a black composite roof, so the attic temperature was reaching over 130 degrees on hot days. Since the installation of the radiant barrier, I'm already experiencing a temperature reduction of just over 20 degrees. To confirm that, I have (5) window gables that aren't directly over living space and thus didn't require the installation of a radiant barrier to those sections. Now I can easily monitor the temperature difference with (2) quality digital thermometers and confirm the difference between the untreated gable areas and the treated primary attic spaces that are directly above my homes living area. This is a remarkable difference. My ceilings are no longer radiating heat into my home like they were before (even with the R19 ceiling insulation and gable vent fans that were originally installed). My air conditioning units and ducting, which are in the attic are no longer struggling to keep up due to extreme attic temperatures and now running less often to keep my home cool. Now let me talk about my experience with O.J. Insulation. First, I called (3) companies that stated online that they install radiant barriers. The other two companies both made appointments but didn't show-up or call to reschedule. O.J.'s estimator (Paul) made the appointment, confirmed the appointment the day before and showed-up on time. He was thorough with his inspection and suggested the best approach to achieve the attic cooling goal I was looking for. A week later a (3) man crew spent an entire 3-days working in my attics, which at the time reached temperatures of 120 degrees (I don't know how they were able to work in those conditions). The entire crew was polite, courteous, and extremely hard workers. My wife even made lunch for them every day because we were so appreciative of what they were doing for us. I highly recommend O.J. Insulation. Their service is excellent and their prices are very reasonable.
