Probably one of the best contractor experiences I have ever had. Gordon and his son provided an estimate the same day I called them and was able to start my complete new concrete tile roof within a couple weeks. They do 90% of the job themselves with only an outside demo company that takes the old roof off in less than a day. They were complete in a week leaving my house everyday completely cleaned up and blown down. The quote was the lowest for a new complete roof and the only one lower was for a repaper using the old tiles. They use quality Eagle tile and I was able to go to the factory showroom and pick the style and color from probably over a hundred different ones. Very easy to work with and I was able to talk with him each day and discuss progress and any issues. read more

We had a few tiles blown off the roof yesterday during the rain and wind, I was calling around for an urgent repair since there will be more rain next week. Gordon Perry returned my call quickly and scheduled an on-site estimate early next morning. The gentleman arrived on time and did an inspection on the whole roof, showed me pictures of additional broken and loose tiles he found, and provided a very reasonable quote. I asked if he can do it today, he said he will need to drive around to find matching tiles but he will try. He came back 2 hours later and finished the work. The Santa Ana's blew and a few of my shingles flew! I called Perry's roofing to get a quote on repairing my lost shingles and to my surprise they called me back the next day. I figured with all of the winds they would be so busy that they wouldn't call back for a weeks. I spoke with Gordon and said he would have Martin call me to set up a time. A short time later he called me and said he would come out right away and look to see what was blown off from the high winds and give me a estimate. He then quoted me a price and said he could do the repair that same day, I was very shocked he could do it right then and there. I had to wait for the Insurance to check it out before I could say yes to Martin. Later that week the insurance got back with me and I decided not to go through the Insurance company, so I called Matin back and told him to go ahead with the job and fix the roof. Martin did a great job for me and was very knowledgeable and friendly. I am very glad I used Gordon Perry to repair my roof and would definitely go back to them when I need more work done. Called Gordon regarding a leak in livingroom discovered during a brief rain a couple days ago. Gordon offered to come out next afternoon. Gordon installed this roof 17 years ago, I wasn't sure if it was a minor repair or if the tar paper needed to be replaced on the whole roof due to its age . I received a call from Michael next morning asking if he could come in 10 minutes which he did. He repaired by replacing two cracked tiles, tar paper, wood and caulk for a reasonable price. After we had the exterior of our home painted, the painting crew mentioned that we had some missing and/or broken tiles that needed to be attended to. We had several broken tiles on our roof. I wasn't looking to have my roof repaired yet (procrastinated) but while at a neighbor's house, I saw they were having their roof repaired. So I called the same company they used (Gordon Perry Roofing) and they were able to come out and repair the tiles the following day. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I agree with all of the 5 Star reviews Mr. Perry has received and think he is a very personable man and does good work. The reason for my subpar review is due to the outcome of the job I hired Mr. Perry for. We had a very small job that other contractors quoted a large sum for without taking the time Mr. Perry did to determine what was wrong. He knew right away how to correct the issue and did so as quoted. Where I have the issue is during the job a curved tile was broken and Mr. Perry glued it together rather than replacing it without notifying me. After he left I looked at the job and noticed the tile was broken. A short time later I noticed he had returned to do a repair for my neighbor, I approached him to let him know I was aware he had broken and glued a tile. I asked if he would please repair the broken tile and even offered to further compensate him and he told me not to worry he would come back and replace the tile. Sadly, he has never returned and I have not heard from him since. I was and am still a little disappointed it was not repaired correctly and will likely hire another roofing company to correct the mistake. read more

Gordon is as honest & conscientious as they come...we had used him to fix an area on our roof a long time ago. When we were scheduled for termite tenting, we had him come out to check the roof ahead of time & he fixed a couple obvious broken tiles with the plan to come back out afterwards to fix any damage the tenters did. In the meantime, we had those torrential rains & discovered some really bad leaks. Gordon even came out in the rain & repaired tiles and flashings around chimneys. When the project started Gordon let me know the shingle manufacturer was having a sale on an upgraded version of the shingle we had selected. He brought samples of both by and it was a no-brainer to invest the extra $500 to get shingles that could last up to ten years longer. The entire project was completed on time and looks great.
