I had an old Cal Shake roof that needed to be replaced which included plywood as the existing roof had none. Roofs are expensive. All 3 bids I got were within $3000 of each other. Keith and BDR were highly recommended by another client, and am I glad I hired them. Last year, I contacted Bottom Dollar because of a possible roof leak that I was having. When it first leaked, I had it repaired through my home warranty, but then a couple months later, I could almost hear a dripping noise from that area that was repaired even though I could see no visible evidence of a leak: no ceiling stains, etc. Keith, the owner, came out and said that he sees no evidence of leaking either and so he didn't wanna do anything, which was very honest of him. But he did tell me at the time that if I ever wanted to in the future, because the roof is old, which it is (1990s to be exact), he recommended that I re-roof the whole back section of the house. Fast forward to a month ago, the rainstorms led to me seeing a visible leak unfortunately from that same spot. I contacted Bottom Dollar again and they were nice enough to honor the quote they gave me a year ago. From the time I signed the contract, they made it known when they'd start and how long it would take to do the job. The crew that came out was so nice. They took the time to answer all of my questions since I had never done a re-roof before. They came on time each day and they finished on time as well. It took me awhile to leave a review for this company. Keith, Wyatt and their team are highly recommended. They did our roofing last September 2020. Their company is very busy so you have to be patient. Like other customers we have contacted several roofing companies to check and see if they would give us reasonable pricing. Some did gave us enormous amount, some declined because of the small job and some just don't want to deal with the kind of roof we have since they did some work previously in our neighborhood. I highly recommend Bottom Dollar Roofing! The owner Keith gave me a reasonable quote, much better than the quote from a Santa Ana roofer that came out earlier. I like that Keith is local to La Verne and has lived here all his life. I try to use local businesses if I can. His crews are respectful and courteous. The demo crew was very fast. Only one day to strip 2 asphalt layers and one original shake. Another day to lay the plywood and the last day and a half to shingle the roof, including new flashing around my pipes. I had quite a bit of wood rot but they replaced the bad wood and made it like new. They painted all my pipes to match the roof. I am so happy with our new roof and with Keith and his team. After the ceiling in my daughter's room collapsed in early March due to heavy rains. I contacted Bottom Dollar Roofing based on a friend's recommendation, and Keith came out immediately (despite his very busy schedule) to take a look and offer to tarp the area that was damaged. We wanted to replace the entire tile roof with shingles, and Keith gave me a quote that I then compared to two other roofing company quotes and his was by far the least expensive and most reasonable ($10k less expensive). Given the heavy rains we had been having, I knew that good roofing companies were all booked up and I knew that we may have to wait until late summer for the roof work to start, but I was willing to wait because I trusted Bottom Dollar and the person who referred them. Nevertheless, Keith and his team were able to start the work much sooner than I expected and they were able to finish the entire roof in four days. They removed all the dry rot that had caused the ceiling collapse and did such an incredible job installing our new roof that I no longer need to worry about future heavy rains and the safety of my kids.
