Ordered a large pizza and 24 wings for pickup. Our order took about 40 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. The shop has a large open dining area with several booths to choose from. Our pizza was delicious. A little bit on the doughy side for my liking but still enjoyable. We ordered the buffalo hot wings and they had a nice peppery spice to them. The only disappointing aspect of our order was being shorted on our wings. We received 19 wings when we should have 24. I did communicate this to the shop and they were very professional and offered to make it right. This one is a tough review to write. Perri's was our preferred pizza place in Canandaigua. Their pizza is good and close to where we live. Unfortunately service really is lacking. We ordered last week and although the online ordering said over an hour for delivery, we were ok with that. After an hour and a half, I called the pizza shop who apparently has caller id. When the gentleman picked up there was no 'hello' but a 'yeah, it's on the way. We've been slammed and my driver is overwhelmed.' No problem, I understand staffing is tough. My disappointment stems from the delivery. The pizza was crushed and the wing sauce was all over the place. Spending $100 on pizza and wings (gluten free tends to be a bit pricy but due to my son's celiac, but I'm fine with paying the additional cost for GF), I expected a different experience. I was dissappointed in the service. My pick up order was for 5:30 pm. After waiting for 20 minutes (5:50) waiting at the counter, I asked what was the delay. I was told that the pizza crust was too thin and therefore it created a hole in the middle of the pizza and they had to make another pizza. I asked why didn't they tell me what was going on as we were standing right there. After another " 7 minutes " the order was ready. While I was checking out, I heard the employee say, " they need to relax". When something goes wrong with an order- please 1st apologize and second communicate the delay to the customer. Bottom line- Perri's makes excellent Pizza. They have a large variety of food available as well as specialty and custom pizza's. Their subs are wonderful and because perfection takes time, be prepared to wait between 15-45 minutes depending when and what you ordered. Their pizza is loaded with toppings but never dripping grease like so many pizza places. They use REAL ingredients! Gluten Free, Pan and NY Crust are just three of the crusts they offer. I've waited almost 30 min for a hot sub so if you're ordering something other than a slice call ahead or be prepared to wait. Also, apparently no AC. We ordered a pizza at 4:30 and it didn't show up until over two hours later, 1.25 hours late. When we called to find out where the pizza was, they were rude and gave no apologies. They stated the drivers already left but our house is 5 minutes from the shop. The pizza was disgusting, it doesn't taste fresh at all. The crust is rock hard and the cheese was rubbery. Tasted microwaved. My dog wouldn't even eat this disgusting excuse for a pizza pie. My dog eats everything, even his own shit. Today was the first time I have had Perri's Pizza. It came highly recommended. I stopped on my way back from Rochester, placed my order& decided to wait the 15 minutes I was told it would take. The efficiency I watched was impressive. Everyone behind the counter working hard & very organized. We had a coupon for slices of pizza & then I wanted to try the New York Style pizza. My husband and I were just in Perris's pizza on 332 and a man and woman came in, placed their order, paid and stood waiting for it to be done....a few minutes later the manager whom I guess is named John said we are out of the item that the woman ordered....he asked what else he could get her and she said "nothing, I want my money back...." she got up and walked out while her husband stayed behind and retrieved his order and the money back for hers....as soon as the husband walked out the door..manager John says out loud in front of us and all his MINOR employees..."She hardly looks like she's f'ing fussy about what goes in her mouth, you don't get to be f'ing 280 lbs by being picky..." I was so mad I told my husband I was going to say something before we left after finishing our meal.... we got up and I told John that as much as we go in there and enjoy the food, that after hearing him talk that way about a customer and especially in front of those kids that we would never set foot in there again and he should be ashamed of himself...he simply said..."ok".. I am beyond frustrated with my meal. I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and peppers, order of friend and garlic parmesan wings with extra sauce. Once I arrive home I realize the pizza only has pepperoni on it so I call the store and am told they gave me the wrong pizza and to bring the pizza I currently have, back. Pretty sure that's a major health code violation. I drive back to the store and the guy inspects the pizza and is ready to give it to the lady sitting behind me whose pizza it actually belongs to. The girl at the counter intervenes and tells me to take both pizzas home... so I did. Upon arriving home and inspecting the rest of my order I see that the wings are extremely dry and have no additional sauce. They are so dried out that when I tried to use a fork to cut one in half, it flew off of my plate and onto the floor. I have lived in Canandaigua for 6 years and often tell my daughter, who is a big Mark's/Pontillo's fan, that Perri's is better... I guess I have to now let her win this round of battle of the pizzas. Absolutely disgusting. I did not feel too well and my daughter just had a tooth extracted... we truly were looking for a good cheat meal and a quiet/relaxing night in. Ordered takeout on Saturday for two sheet pizzas for delivery. After over and hour we started to wonder where the pizza was, we called and they said they didn't have our apartment number or our phone number to call us. I know this to be false and other people who were with us can confirm that almost immediately we have our phone number. When we gave our apartment number, it has a letter in it, and we distinctly remember saying the letter and a word that starts with that letter so there was no confusion. We were not compensated at all. They heated our pizza back up to the point that it was burnt! To top it all off these two sheet pizzas cost us over $80. I ordered a Huge Slice Combo with fried ravioli. The slice was an in-house style City Sweet Chicken Wing. The Huge slices are well named, definitely a good quantity of pizza for your dollar. The crust was crisp and supported the weight of the pizza, so it wasn't floppy and was easy to hold and eat. The dough wasn't too fluffy or dense. The toppings themselves were well distributed on the slice, and the City Sweet Chicken Wing was just that: sweet, a little savory, with the barest hint of warmth from spice. The ravioli was pleasant and paired well with the marinara sauce. The cashier recommended the ravioli, and I was very thankful for her recommendation. When I arrived in San Diego I was used to what I have come to learn is "New York, New York" style pizza. Bronx Pizza, Luigi's Pizza and even Knockout Pizza in San Diego is what I expected. Upstate New York style pizza is completely different favoring thicker style crust and sauce more like Marinara than crushed tomato style. Perri's is actually the only place in the area I have found that offers both styles of pizza, as well as an incredible giant slice that they do actually better than their standard Western New York Style. Overall I have found their pizza crust delicious their chick wings perfectly passible if not stellar. These pizza places around Canandaigua have no idea how to make a pizaa except perhaps possibly Pontillos. The problem with Pontillos is the exhorbitant pricing, so little value now for the money. Can't opine on Salvatores, Green Front or Mark's Pizza except to say they are just expensive as Pontillos and therefore I will not order from them. Good experience here! Friendly staff. They took maybe 40 minutes to deliver, but I'm sort of far away. Pizza is a good deal, and you get more for your money than from other local competitors. Pepperoni is small, flipped up-style, and the pizza is slightly greasy, though not so much so that it's an overly-distinguishing feature. The crust is the best feature in my opinion, a happy medium between a thin and average-sized cut. We come here often, for lunch and for dinner pickup/delivery. I've been going to Perris for years and it's always been my go to for pizza.. well that changed today. My coworkers ordered food for lunch today. We ordered at 10:42 and had several different orders and told them that before we even started reading the orders off. After getting halfway through the orders the guy on the phone rudely goes "how many more orders do you have?" My coworker responded and said "what are you guys busy or something at 11am?" The guy never told us when the food would get there. So when it arrived at 12:43 we were irritated. The phone number of the delivery driver was (585)-451-3154. One of my coworkers asked for copies of the receipts and the delivery driver said "we don't do copies of receipts." To make matters worse every single person who ordered food was charged a $3 delivery fee on top of the tip that was left for the driver.. (umm you did ONE delivery why did you charge for each person?) When we started going through the food to separate everyones we noticed two drinks were missing and a fried dough. We called to tell them and they insisted they gave us everything. They told us we were lying. The best part... the food was COLD, the cheese was hard and it took way too long to deliver food that was ordered before lunch hour and was only a mile or so away. At this point I was beyond livid I drove to the pizza shop myself. (We work in a nursing facility so it's a little hard to leave the floor, but glad I did ) When I got there I asked to speak to the manager. As soon as I walked in the first thing I noticed was a old gray haired lady with her mask below her nose (ummm we are in a freaking pandemic and you can't even take proper precautions to keep our community safe... you are the reason people keep getting sick and you are gonna be the reason things shut down again) I then explained everything to the manager asked him why he charged us $3 per order when it was one delivery. He said "well it was 8 deliveries." I said "oh really so your driver drove to my work 8 times? Or one time?" He said "one". I said "then thats ONE delivery". He ended up refunding us for the $3 delivery fees. I asked him if the fried dough would be comped since it took so long and I had to go pick it up. He said "no we already had to remake it". I said "remake it? You never brought it in the first place". He told me that they were really backed up with orders at 11 and that their delivery driver wasn't there yet to do the deliveries. (Sorry but if you don't have someone to do a delivery then Tell the customer that or don't take delivery orders. Could've saved yourself this hassle and a bad Yelp review. ) they werent even busy. They had no food on the "keep warm" area above the ovens and they had one worker. How are you busy? Will not go back here. Will advise my family and friends to stay away. And they lost a lot of busy from my coworkers since we order a lot. read more

The 2 stars is because of preference only! I wouldn't avoid them because you may think they have a 5 star slice. The pizza is pretty thick. Like VERY thick. TOO thick. My preference is a thin slice however I still enjoy thicker slices like Pontillo's or Pudgies but Perri's is way too thick. The chicken on the buffalo slice didn't taste great and the cheese wasn't that great as well as the sauce. However I think that this is all because of the fact that the slices weren't at served temperature when I ate them. Another reviewer has actually pointed this out as well; the pizza is not good when cooled down but is when you just get it and it's hot. I took a few bites right when I got the slices and was pretty good! Another reviewer said they are overpriced. I got 2 slices (pepperoni and buffalo chicken) and it came to $7 however the slices a pretty massive (especially when you include how thick they are) so I wouldn't call it overpriced at all. I did get the slices to go and they only give you a plate and a paper slip; it's weird. That's a little gripe since most don't get just a slice. read more

I wouldn't say the pizza was something super spectacular, But it was made properly with all the ingredients balanced out okay. It's what I would consider good, "convenience pizza" If you're in the area. The slices on the large pizza weren't very, Well, Large either. I appreciated the polite service and everything was very well packaged with better quality boxes and bags. After we left, Everything stayed sealed up nice. We also ordered their famous garlic parmesan bites. These smelled really good and were very tasty off the bat. I generally like to eat breads sticks and garlic knots I get during a later time in the day too and not all at once, So I saved the rest. 9 times out of 10 That's never a problem with any pizza joint, But since their bites are flat and cut into small squares, The oil soaked them up inside the container and saturated the dough entirely.
