This is a place we come to if we have a hankering for pancakes, chicken tenders and pie all at the same time. Be prepared to wait for up to an hour if you come on a Saturday or Sunday morning! Which is usually when we come. The food is always good, service is mediocre, but we keep coming back because of the diversity of their menu. As mentioned above. Liver and onions and Carmel apple pie, you can pretty much have whatever you want. Anytime of the day. Stay away from this place after bar hours. There are belligerent and intoxicated people who will likely be a distraction to your meal. Or live entertainment, depends on your attitude! read more

The only good thing about my visit was the pie, which was so good that I gave it two stars instead of just the one. The waitress that my friends and I got was very distracted every time she was at our table. Constantly asking us to repeat what we said, and forgetting about things that she wrote down. Our drinks were empty almost the whole meal, and she only noticed after we got our food. Our food was cold, I had the Breakfast Burger which would've been amazing had it not been cold, as well as the fries. I tried to give her the Benicia of the doubt because it was a busy night. However, I noticed that she had friends at another table that she spent talking to the whole time when she wasn't with us. I'm not needy when I go out to eat, but some good service is appreciated. Unfortunately I don't think I want to go back for anything else except their pie. read more

Great restaurant! Great staff, service and food. The fried chicken fillet is delicious. Crispy sauce. Country potatoes are very good, fried in sour cream or cheese sauce. I came back next day because of the waitress. I was happy to see the morning manager, Michael, who was cheerful, constantly walking around the restaurant to check on his customers. I like to see people who enjoy & love their job. In this case, Michael seems enjoy his works and care for his work place. * 5 Stars for my chef who cooked the eggs perfectly. I know , it's a skill to cook the eggs how the customers wanted. * 5 Star for my waitresses. We had their smokey burger, fries and apple crumble pie for supper and Skillet Big Country breakfast and Egg Classic for breakfast with apple muffin. All was delicious and served hot. Waitresses were very polite and gave good service. We recommend it! read more

Husband and I decided to go on a breakfast date. Sat down waited for over 10 minutes and not one server came to our table. They were not terribly busy. The worst part is we witnessed 5 other tables be sat after us and get drinks and their orders placed. This is my favorite "chain" breakfast restaurant. I always enjoy my food. I haven't had a dish I haven't liked. The service is always great and even when they are busy, they seat in an efficient manner. The pancakes are some of the best out there. The service of Shiloh here is what makes this place over come the cleanliness issues that it shows. She works like she owns the place and this work ethic is non existent in the world today. Keep up the good work Shiloh........management.......have a better cleaning schedule.......your glass window separators in the restaurant are overdue for a cleaning. This is an update after their renovations. My husband and I go there weekly and if you sign up for their emails, you get discounts all the time. I love their food and their new renovations look quite nice. We are regulars and well known and always treated so nice, the service is usually always great and the food fresh. We will be going back weekly as usual. My only complaint is a few of the new booths are super narrow from booth seat to table. A larger person or pregnant woman would not be able to fit in those particular booths so I think that's a bit of an oversight on their part, but it's not all the booths. I saw that some are a bit more roomy and of course they still have tables and chairs. They are comfortable and the new decor and fresh paint makes it looks brighter and more spacious. Just be sure to specify, if you choose a booth, if you need a more spacious booth. read more

I've been to Perkins a couple of times lately, and I think it's time to bump up their rating. Their menu has had a nice overhaul, and everything I've had here has been excellent. The pie is of course amazing, and service has been pretty good. Maybe work on refilling my water a little more often, but that's really the extent of my complaints. Plus, this is one of the only 24 hour restaurants in town -- even IHOP closes at midnight, and honestly, Perkins now has way better food than them. So if you need a late night bite, this is definitely the spot! read more

Made a date with husband on day off to have brunch, nothing spectacular and way overpriced for what you get. I had the turkey and avocado sandwich which was a disaster. The bread was toasted which tasted more like stale bread, either grill it or leave the bread fresh. Supposedly had balsamic aioli which was about three centimeter diameter on one slice of the bread and no balsamic to be found. All the turkey was piled up in the center of the bread, lettuce was wilty and avocado was in one huge chunk. Had to take the whole sandwich apart and rebuild it before I could eat it, only ate half because honestly just not worth it. $10.50! read more

Basic breakfast. A little skinny on the serving sizes, and just like the other ones I've been to on the road, they have trouble understanding special orders like "over-easy" and "cook the hash browns until they are nearly burnt." The lady appears to be writing these things down and yet the breakfast comes as the cook wills it. I've had Pancakes there as well as various combinations of sausage, eggs, baked goods, and other assorted sides. None of it had the telltale signs of coming off another persons plate or having sat under a heat lamp, which is much-appreciated in diners. Still, the food comes reasonably warm. Service was above average, it was interestingly busy for being 2:00 PM, but food was delivered in a timely manner. My husband was extremely pleased with the Southern Fried Chicken Biscuit Breakfast. This was the WORST Perkins I've ever been to! As I write this my husband is in the bathroom throwing up his hamburger. As soon as we walked in it was obvious this place needs a cleaning bad. Table was sticky, booth seats were cracked, the highchair they brought us was disgusting. Sticky, broken buckle, badly soiled, the baby changing station in the women's bathroom was just as bad. The backside of the bakery case was filthy, this place was seriously gross. My mother and husband both had hamburgers and we're sick 30mins later. read more

Don't know what people is complaining about but I come here almost every day and service is great, great food, friendly waitress and hostess, love their apple pie and I recently had the caramel apple pie that the hostess recommended and it was awesome. So far one of my favorite place here in Oshkosh since I move from Georgia a month ago. read more

I've been to this Perkins about 10 times. One of my first times, I bit into a burger I ordered and I pulled a long black hair from the meat. The hair then snapped off, leaving it inside the burger. It was quite disgusting but I was able to stop myself from vomiting. I showed the waitress and she started heaving. I didn't have to pay for it, to say the least, and was given $20 in gift certificates. read more

Average food, pretty standard stuff and nothing to go home and tell the world about on facebook, or twitter, or whatever people are using these days. It's overall good comfort food. Decent quality. Plenty of menu options and open 24/7. Never had a bad meal there, never had a fantastic meal. I leave happy with my experience, but not wow'd or amazed feeling like I need to rush back soon. Maybe eat there 1-2 times a year. Favorite breakfast meal so far is the Fried Chicken biscuits with gravy. So much food for your money and probably one of the best tasting dishes. Bakery aspect is actually the best part. I feel like more love, care, quality is put into those items. Muffins are great. Pies are...average. People rave that they have the best pies, but sorry, you must never had anything homemade before. Service finally is always good, never fantastic, but good enough. read more

I cannot believe people have given this place bad reviews. I understand they have recently renovated, though, which may change some negative people's opinions. We had a great, inexpensive, fast, delicious breakfast here. The facility was clean and quiet and nicely decorated. Our waitress, Cassie, was excellent. I ordered the brioche french toast breakfast, which was made with actual, real, true, legit, wonderful, thick-cut brioche bread! You definitely won't find that at iHop. It came with eggs and bacon. Cassie recommended their "twinberry" syrup, which is blueberry and blackberry mixed, and it was great! My boyfriend had a huge omelet and toast (which was pre-buttered!). Everything was hot and fresh. My only semi-complaint is that the coffee, although deep and rich, was actually kind of expensive. I'm not sure if coffee is a commodity in Wisconsin, but ~$2.50 for diner coffee is a lot in my book. The manager Michel was very friendly and checked on us during our meal. He actually seemed to check on a lot of people and had a lengthy conversation with a gentleman you could tell was a regular. The cashier Corey was also nice and friendly. I would never choose the neighboring iHop over this place for breakfast or brunch! I wish I had Perkins in my hometown for an easy and tasty meal. read more
