There are a LOT of options on this menu and it seems to be one of those places where because there is so much, it's hard to do everything well. I tried the mineshaft club and it was an average sandwich, the same could be said for the burger and salad order by coworkers. Nothing special. The fries and cheese curds were crispy, but the saving grace was the bottomless root beer float. There is overall just a lot going on in this establishment, the decor is on theme for a minute shaft but for the place being rather empty our server was rushed anything she was at our table. We also walked through the arcade and most games, when translating the credit to dollar cost, average about $2.50 a play. We went to the mineshaft on Dec 30. We were seated relatively quickly and we placed an order for appetizers. They took more than 30 minutes to come out and were all were cold (motz sticks, poutine and fried pickles) with some being completely inedible. The mains were then served about 30 minutes after that. Easter buffet....While the food is good the wait time and total disorganization of flow of people is driving us away. My daughter and her husband love this place so we met up with them for games and lunch. The game area was very busy but lots of games so you could definitely find something to play. I'm sure both kids and adults love the game side of things. The food (at least the Sunday chicken special) was less than impressive. I like a good crispy breading on fried chicken and this was greasy and soggy. I'm glad it was only $9.99. I would consider trying the Sunday buffet next time, hopefully it's better. Kids are supposed to be free on Sundays and my daughter showed the waitress the Mineshaft website who just shrugged it off and told us to have a nice day. She was able to have the meal taken off her bill at the main cash register. I imagine we will only return with our grandkids so they can play games as the food was just "meh" in our opinion. Have only tried the bakery. It was varied and the pieces I had were quite good and reasonably priced. Their hours are a bit difficult as bakery is usually enjoyed in the morning and they do not open until 11am. Ive done some work in a kitchen that served large quanities and it was the first time of the numerous restaurants that poormans lobster was canned tuna pressed in a vice, seasoned, heated and served. It was very dry. Good thing i like tuna. Our waiter disappeared for half an hour. A couple times he did pass our table clanced at us, smurked and kept walking. My wife wanted to flag him down but i told her no because itll determine the tip and rating so she agreed. Our glasses of soda were completely empty and our plates were long gone empty and Hunter seen that. No joke i started to doze off. My wife said enough is enough. Evenually Hunter started passing our table again and she outloud can we get something to eat and drink afterall we are paying for it. People looked over at us and he apologized saying he was sorry he was just spacing out. He filled our glasses and asked how many pieceseach of us wanted. We asked for 3 pieces each and he returned with only 5 pieces. Went on a Wednesday afternoon. Place wasn't super busy, lots of open tables and spots , but we were told there would be a 15 minute wait or less. We ended up waiting almost 40 minutes. People coming in after us were being seated before us. Finally got our table and seated. We had decided what we wanted to eat and drink and sat there waiting for our waitress to come and take any order. When she finally did arrive, she was friendly in the beginning. We had three kids drinks and 1 adult drink and a water. It was a good 20 minutes before we even got any of our drinks. 2 being sodas and coming from the bar, those were the first two that came out. The person from the bar that brought them out spilled them all the way to the table. The waitress appeared a good 10 minutes later and brought the two lemonades. She asked about the water and said she would be right back with the water. She arrived back with the kids soda we were suppose to get instead of the tiny water cup we got and still never brought the water. She finally comes back with the water and we waited another 15-20 minutes before our food arrived. A person from the kitchen delivered our food and when we recieved it it was cold. Waitress returned when we were half way done asking how it was and I asked for more napkins and to put a to go order in. She gave us about 5 napkins. We only had two silverware sets and never asked if we needed more. When biting into my second half of burger there was a very small toothpick inside. I had already pulled and removed the toothpick they put in to hold it together. I pulled it out and put it in the food basket we had sitting at the end of the table. The waitress was watching as this happened. She went to place the to go order on the table and took and shoved all our stuff out of the way with the pizza box and back into the middle of the table without saying anything. The way she did it was rude. She didn't say anything and walked away right away. As she came back she placed the check on the pizza box in a rude way and walked off. It's been quite a while since we decided to try mineshaft again as the last time we were there we were seated and nobody talked to us or took our order for the 20-25 minutes we were there. We had stopped somebody and they said it wasn't there ares but they would get our waiter. Still never saw him. So we got up and left. Definitely not worth the price you pay. The only good part of mineshaft is the bakery. Food has good flavor but not when it's cold and you expect hot. Service is terrible. I understand being short staffed, but there is no personable relationships. Overall it's a disorganized disaster. Also the cleanliness of the atmosphere is less than satisfying. I've been wanting to come here for over a year and since they started their fish special on Wednesdays too, we decided to give it a try tonight! I'd love to tell you that it was spectacular but it was just kind of okay. Especially considering Wisconsin tends to be known for its fish fry events. You can tell it's all from frozen, but there wasn't anything "bad " so to speak. For the price I'm glad we tried it. I'd go back to try other things. Been wanting to visit the Oshkosh location for some time and the place is huge! Much larger than the Hartford location but unfortunately not quite as quaint, but overall very nice. The service was fantastic as we were quickly seated and promptly waited on. My wife had the Cobb salad which looked fantastic, a great selection. I went with a cheeseburger and although I requested medium rare, the patty was simply not thick enough to allow. The place is amazing - super huge which makes it feel like it goes on forever, but the tables, wall, decor, main bar area, and check in are all amazing. They have an arcade as well which appeals to families as well as adults who still want to be kids and have fun! The meal was not so great. My grandpa loves the spaghetti, so I wanted get what he loved. It was just, idk, meh. It was a little watery, and basic. But for some people, having a consistent staple is delicious enough for them. My coworkers and I went into the restaurant at around 830 840 pm we understood it was late but to have the whole hostess staff glare at us while we went to our table was impressive. The pizza here is good, but not outstanding or above average. I would say it is a step above chain pizza, which is a minimum expectation at this type of establishment. An extensive breakfast buffet is featured on the weekends. I would rate the breakfast buffet four stars; however, the overall restaurant experience is still three stars. As good as the buffet is, none of the items stand out as gourmet or exceptional and that includes the regular menu items as well. This time (The LAST time) I stood there for a couple minutes and watched 5 women behind the desk shuffle around like they had no idea what was going on. All of them saw me standing there. An elderly couple walks in and stands 2 feet away from me. An old bag behind the counter looks up and say "table for 2?, this way" UNREAL If a manager takes the time to read this which I highly doubt they will, you need to teach your employees customer service! Knowing their food is generally on the good finding the cost for one large 4 topping pizza was a bit expensive at $23.00 plus ,though a bogo offer would make it a bit more reasonable. Wrong, worst pizza ever. Ordered a thin crust. if that was their thin crust, I can't imagine what thick crust would have weighted. Aside from that, the pizza was over cooked and some parts to the extent of burnt. Overall was outright terrible and total waste of money. The fact that a part of the first pizza hit the garbage, was good reason to do the same with the second. Can't not say how disappointed it was. Expected much more being the Mindshaft. While I usually get there for breakfast or lunch I have nothing but positive feedback to give. I am particularly impressed with there breakfasts, especially their Build Your Own Omelette. We went to the Mineshaft for Easter Brunch. They advertised $24.00 per person. Not only was it not worth $24.00, but the actual price was $28.00. The chicken had no flavor and was dry. The rest of the food was barely warm. This was the last time I will visit them. It's disappointing because we have eaten at the one in Hartford and it had always been good. The one in Oshkosh has subpar food, slower service and is basically just a Chucky Cheese with more menu items. read more

Good atmosphere for children to make fun memories as long as you've brought enough money. The game room is amazing! In ways that are good and bad. The games are programed to payout at little as possible yet have enough flashing lights and loud sounds to give children (and adults) a dopamine hook very similar to gambling. If you bring $50-$100 you might be able to leave with a poorly stitched stuffed animal. BUT... as long as money is no issue to you or your children, it can be an amazing memory. The food takes so long to get to you that you spend all your extra cash on drinks while your kids come back to you multiple times asking for more money for the games. As long as you have time and money to burn, it can be very very fun! It can be a bit stressful if you're on a budget. Don't expect to sit down, eat, and be out the door in less than an hour. The staff is very friendly and there's always plenty of parking! I think they expected to bring in more people from far away being right off the highway. In my opinion, the place doesn't fit Oshkosh currently. But one can dream, right? read more
